  2. crimson, where did you buy your finasteride? i have been looking for a legit place to buy it. thanks for your help.
  3. Arrie, are you frustrated because its not as good at 3 month mark as you had expected? when did you start seing growth, if at all? i am asking because i have always wondered how long after the HT, can one expect to look at least the same as he did before, if not better? Ciao
  4. saw this in news today regarding MSM. http://health.yahoo.com/asthma-allergies-2007/asthma/10...es-risks-vs-benefits

  6. its funny how stories that would mean nothing to most people, give follically challenged people like us so much hope. i am sure most of you caught this one place or another. http://www.cnn.com/2007/TECH/science/05/17/baldness.study.reut/index.html

  8. Gossamer, are you sure you can go back to work one week post-op without your HT showing? i mean, from all i have heard and read, you need at least a month(maybe, even two) if you want to conceal your HT "completely". i could be wrong. i think it depends on your exisiting hair, how much you are having transplanted, and where. Anyway, would love to see some pre-op, and one week pics, and see how you manage to pull it off. Thanks Paris
  9. sounds good youngguy, this one is just for my first consultation. been avoiding this for years, but its gotta be done now :-) any tips?
  10. youngguy, what is your overall impression of feller. i read on another post that you are thinking of having your crown done by some other doc? any reason for not going with feller? also, any pics?
  11. Guys, was wondering if anyone here who lived in brooklyn, been to feller medical. the car service is charging me $70. any suggestions?

  13. Thanks Spex,. i might take you up on that. John_in_NC, what did you mean, bit balder. do you mean balder than before i had HT, meaning less hair than i started with?
  14. thanks spex, and everyone else. i have 2 months off after HT. i am hoping it would be sufficient. i really don't want any trace of HT whatsoever. maybe asking for too much.
  15. Hi spex, we corresponded a while back, i am not sure if you remember. i have a consultation scheduled with Dr. Feller next month. i am sure i will ask him the same question that i am asking you. If you have diffused thinning on top, along with male pattern baldness, and they have to shave my recepient area for surgery, how long do you think it would take for me to get back to normal, meaning long enough hair to be able to hide it with toppik or dermatch, so that "absolutely" no one will know i had HT. Thanks

  19. Orion, is it advisable to use toppik, and dermatch on the recepient area so soon after the HT? How soon after the HT did you start using these? and did your doc say it was ok? Thanks Paris
  20. Hi Orion, congrats on the procedure, and kudos for choosing a great doctor. i saw your post op pics and they shaved your entire front. How in the world did you get to work on day 17 without anyone noticing? Can you post a pic of you with prothick on, just so i get an idea. Paris
  21. Michael, just saw your 10 month pics. amazaing transformation. i think i told you that my hair right now is very similar to your pre-op and that i am considering Feller. Your pics have given me renewed hope and maybe just the kick in the b*** i need. Anyway, you look great. i have a couple of questions. are you doing anything for your hair right now in terms of medication, or any topical stuff like dermatch? and also, after they shaved your hair in front for surgery, how long did it take for your hair to get to its pre-op stage in terms of length and density? Thanks bro, and once again congrats on a superb result.
  22. Bill, i am a guy. thanks for the detailed response. you are right. normal is subjective. Put it this way, if my recipient area is shaved, and say anywhere between 3000 and 4000 grafts, how much time until my head starts looking at least like what it did before surgery, in terms of amount of hair on top, and length. i don't know if that clarifies my question a bit. thanks again all.
  23. Hey guys, been researching this site for quite a while now, and it's more informative than most other tools i have come across. I have one question that has been on my mind for a while now. Everytime you ask someone (including doctors), they tell you the same thing, you need just 2 weeks down time, and you should be ready to go back to work after HT. I know that is a general statement, so let's say a month, tops. Problem is, almost all the pics i have seen of HTs tell me that anything less than 3 months is going to leave you looking like a freak (sorta). i mean your side and back are long to conceal the scar, top (since most docs shave thse days) can barely grow to less than an inch, add in shock loss. if someone has diffused thinning on top, and uses concealers like toppik and such before HT, at one month, you might as well rent a billboard in Times Square announcing your HT. I was looking at some recent pics posted by Dr. feller (he is the one i would go with as of now), and it totally is in line with my concerns. Is there anyone out there who had more than 3000 grafts, had to shave the top for HT, and still was able to "completely" conceal their HT after one month, or heck, even two? So, please help me understand this. What is the real down time? that is the only thing stopping me right now. if i could have enough hair after 2 months to use toppik and dermatch, i would go to Dr. Feller tomorrow. some responses please, even if its just to state the obvious that, "dude, it depends" Paris

  25. lasercomb is a whole lot of nothing, a mega-size rip-off, from what i have heard. you are better off spending your money on medication and future HTs.
