  1. @AB2000 It seems so. I would have liked to see his final results post 12 months. I wish he sees the email notification and replies me.
  2. Thanks @Melvin- Moderator. I was a bit confused about it after watching the video I posted above as he talked about systemic absorption.
  3. @Melvin- ModeratorBoth are same Melvin. Palakurthi is her surname. I just checked here: https://www.regrowhair.com/dr-radha-rani-palakurthi-now-recommended-by-the-hair-transplant-network/
  4. @BlackPantherHow have you been? How was the result further down the line? Did you get your temples down later? Also, do the flash lights (in marriage events) for video cameras in marriage events cause a problem, does it make matters worse in HT patients?
  5. @JC71I wonder what happened to Dr Radha? I see old posts mentioning her but I don't see any posts in recent years. Has she been un recommended later on for any reason? The clinic is somewhat closer to where I'm living(250 kms) compared to Delhi(2000 kms).
  6. Thanks @MazAB. Hopefully it's as effective as oral form without fear of side effects.
  7. The guy in the below video says it is absorbed systemically as well. Could you give your opinion on this?
  8. As you would expect, I'm asking this question to know whether it's a good idea to use Topical Finasteride/gel instead of tablets post hair transplant to avoid "potential" side effects of oral form. Have you used it? Have you found it to be as effective as oral form? What is the general consensus? Is there a reasonable confidence? I see some old posts in this forum that refers to a Topical Fin from Hasson & Wong. Is that and the general results about "Topical FInasteride" that show up in google about same thing? NCBI article: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6609098/ Forum old posts: Thanks in advance.
  9. @MazABIs topical fin relatively new? Could you refer me some topical fin links on amazon? Also is it the same as the one developed by Hasson & Wong sometime back there was post about?
  10. @Melvin- ModeratorInteresting topic. Are you taking fin after your recent hair transplant? Any new perspective on this topic after since you posted this thread?
  11. @Delete meYou just need to paste the link in the editor. You can use preview feature(magnifier icon, the last icon in the editor menu) to know whether it's working.
  12. @Melvin- ModeratorThank you for the affirmation. Hopefully, my case also will reinforce the trust that is shown in this forum on @Eugenix Hair Sciences and going to be a good case for lower packages at @Eugenix Hair Sciences. Waiting for Feb 28th.
  13. Congratulations@Fabio Melo. The result is great and really encouraging for others like me. What was your grade of baldness?
  14. Congratulations @Gatsby. Do we need to shave our head before going to the clinic or is it handled by them?
  15. @nodonoHow is it going? Shedding stopped? Shedded hairs regrowing?
  16. I'm in a similar situation(NW 6/7) and planning to choose Comprehensive Package but only because I can't afford the other packages. Almost all packages have heavy involvement of technicians with varying degree. Even at other clinics that I talked to doctors are only involved in part. But the difference, in the other clinics their main surgeons do get involved. At Eugenix, it depends on the package. But still I'm leaning towards Eugenix because of their good track record on NW 6/7. I also learnt that, it's not like Eugnix has 100s of doctors but mostly less than 10. I asked a CRM there. So all the surgeons get acquaintance with the founding surgeons. Finally, I read in some posts in here who went for lower packages but still took the help of Dr. Arika by asking. I think she generally oversees all surgeries but not sure to what extent. However, I got much of this impression only from reading various posts here.
  17. Thank you for your inputs@TEXAN35. You have given some good ideas. I do have good beard hence Eugenix proposed 1400 grafts from beard. But with Eugenix, I can only go with their starter package with normal doc, I can't afford their more expensive packages. Not sure if that drastically changes results. Is it okay to have a second session after 3 months gap? I had an interesting proposal from one clinic called Derma Clinix. It has only a few references in this forum from some members. But what they proposed to me is this in two sessions: 1. Session 1: 4500 grafts with 45-50 density but only front and mid scalp. (3500 scalp donor, 1000 beard donor) 2. Session 2 after 3 months after session 1 for crown area. They will evaluate healing of donor area and then decide grafts. When asked they told 3 months period is fine since the crown area is un touched in the first session. This proposal is making me greedy though I'm holding back as I didn't see any recommendation for this clinic in this forum. Also, Medi Spa didn't propose beard grafts at all. When asked they told they can use beard as well but still wouldn't touch crown area in the first session. It seems to me they are avoiding crown placement for some reason may be to avoid some risk or something. But Medi Spa and Derma Clinix's two session approach might give more density on frontal and mid scalp perhaps compared to Eugenix?. Thank you again for your response.
  18. Thank you @TEXAN35. I had already seen it. In consulted Medi Spa. The only apprehension is about FUT scar and a second session for crown where as Eugenix proposed 5500 grafts in single sitting. That apart, what do you think of donor area from the above pictures and my overall situation? Thank you.
  19. Thanks for helping a lot of folks with hair loss just like me. Is there a list of all surgeons including those who have been in the list once but not now?
  20. @ANDYMALThank you for asking this question. This helps me as well. It's okay if the deviation from online consultation proposal is around 500 grafts but a drastic change could beat the purpose of going to the clinic for surgery itself as our original decision would have depended on the proposal. In this case it's better to choose the one that has both good reputation and good confidence in the communication given to you. I'm in a similar situation as well. (No one told I'm not a good HT candidate though).
  21. Thank you for taking time to reply@Melvin- Moderator. I have some follow up questions. That's disheartening to know but thanks for pointing out. This lets me understand whether it's worth having HT or not and set my expectations better. This is difficult because of the further receding hair am I right? Clinics that I spoke to including Eugenix only proposed around 4000-5500 grafts. Some proposed only frontal and mid and suggested 2nd session for crown. Eugenix proposed crown coverage as well. This is no where near 10k. Do you think 5500 grafts will practically give reasonable enough coverage for aesthetics. I saw many videos showing 5000 grafts for grade 6 but I guess they don't show top view in the videos. If the top view is shallow I can get SMP afterwards. I got a reply from Medi Spa via email. They proposed 4000 grafts from donor scalp area using their FUT+FUE technique. This will be a single day procedure. They told another session will be needed later on to cover crown area but didn't specify number of grafts. I asked them a follow up question whether they can use my beard hair to increase number of grafts and coverage on crown area in the first session. They told that is possible but they can only tell a day before the surgery in personal consultation about that and how many grafts they can do(500-1000 easily if possible). The charge varies for beard grafts(not a problem for me given that I have limited options now). What do you think about Eugenix proposal in my case(Basic Package)? I have given details in the original post above. Eugenix also told me that the extractable grafts may be lower than what they proposed at the time of the surgery based on personal evaluation of donor area on the date of the surgery. However, I'm wondering if extracting that many grafts(3000-3500) using FUE could make matters worse down the line in the years to come. My hair loss started almost 10 years ago(late teens) and in the current stage now. It's genetic from my maternal grand mother's side. All her brothers are bald and many examples in their families with people having history of losing hair when they were young. I have been unlucky. Another update from Medi Spa: 1000 beard grafts can be easily taken but they still won't touch crown area and crown area will only be done after 12 months. I'm not sure about the reason. Your opinion is appreciated. Thank you in advance @Melvin- Moderator. I'm really glad that I found this forum and your inputs will be much appreciated.
