  1. Sounds logical BeHappy, but unfortunately it was already done by 'The Experts' at Eugenix, who never mentioned that to me, nor did they do this! Perhaps they aren't as knowledgeable in this field, so for future clients you could be Eugenix's spokesperson, and suggest this! They did comment it was an extremely wide and lengthy scar so 1000 implants barely scratched the surface-it wasn't like it was packed as Times square at 5pm on a a Friday evening, there were gaps visible. But to actually have no regrowth at all has left me dumbfounded and saddened beyond belief.
  2. It was Eugenix's Dr. Arika who did the slits, and the young, technicians did the implants. It was FUE only. Doctor Arika was somewhat surprised with the crown's condition after 14 months, but said even though the hairs were very fine and small, all of the hairs implanted were visible?! So i am supposed to now suck this up, and deal with my hurt, confusion, frustration and misery alone, knowing that it is the end of the road for me with this whole process. I feel it was a waste of time, and money, and really it did not reach any of the expectations and hype i had read from many here, that convinced me to go there. Pretty disillusioned with the it all now.
  3. Yes you are correct. the first picture is 14 months after 2600 implants were done on the crown and just forward of the crown. According to the Doctor the implants they did were visible enough to claim that it was an ok job! The scar pictures are 2 months after the implants and 14 months after, [with the longer hair covering] the scar. The last is my original crown when i was looking to do the job. To me i thought 2600 could of been a little better job, but.......?
  4. Hi Burnsy, I had 1000 grafts put into the FUT scar. 500 beard, 500 scalp. The crown and mid scalp got a total of 2600, all scalp hair. The 1st crown picture [14 months post operation] show what 1800 implants have done to the overall look and the density? It was about 1800 crown and the rest [800] in the mid scalp to strengthen behind the hairline. Their concern was a lack of blood flow may impede regrowth of the FUT implants, so i am assuming that is the reason i had no regrowth, rather than a botched job. After going to Eugenix i visited an SMP specialist Adrian [Gatsby] suggested, and whilst they were really helpful, they wanted me to wait about 6-8 months post op to see how the scar implants worked. Now we know it was a fail, i can visit to see if i can get an SMP job as good as Adrian's was. With the harvesting of the donor area looking miserable still, the visibility of the scar still pronounced, and the crown looking meagre, not to mention a fail on my eyebrow job, it was a real sloppy turnout, overall, that has shocked me deeply. Hopefully a good Scar SMP job may at least brighten my life.
  5. Hi, about 20 Years ago i had FUT surgery that left a scar from ear to ear that was wider than yours. I had to keep my hair long to cover it, but when i got wet hair the scar was extremely unsightly and very visible. Then 14 months ago i went to Eugenix in India to have work done, hoping for some help, and the scar was 2nd on my list of to dos. My crown was first, and my very thinned out eyebrows were third. They implanted scalp and beard hair into the FUT scar, to the point where on the day, it looked totally covered. Even though the Doctor cautioned that it may not regrow in the scar, i took a punt on it working. 14 months down the track, just recently, i had a video call with Dr.Arika and another senior female Doctor, who finally were resigned to the fact, that not only my FUT scar replenishment was an abject total failure, but to their amazement, my eyebrow implants were very poorly done. My Crown, which i was also very disappointed in, [lack of density] was contentious as they said you can come in for more work to thicken the sparseness, but my thought was why didn't they just do it then? No one really asked how far apart do you want the grafts implanted-i just said give me what Melvin was given! What they put in has grown but i was unhappy with the job, sadly, as the crown is still very empty, and Dr. Arika was hesitant when i showed her, initially, realising and agreeing to the lack of density, but explained, the grafts, that they had implanted, however wide, and thin they were, still regrew. But, even then, they were prepared to write my op. off and refund me for my eyebrows and scar work that failed. I said can we give it 3 more months, for the scar and brows, which they would wait to see if miracles happen, then we will close the chapter on my miserable failed Eugenix venture. I am now looking at a last resort and SMP, for my FUT scar, as a plastic surgeon i consulted wasn't willing to minimise the scar as he believes they weaken and get even wider, potentially. Sad, for me and the total experience, but the blood flow in the scar region wasn't good enough for regrowth. It looks the same as it was 20 years ago. SMP is the last frontier i think. Caveat emptor.
  6. Hey Aussie 2020, Best of luck mate, later this month, some of this information was also helpful for me as well. I can throw some fresh ideas your way next week, if you like? I am on my way Tuesday, out of Melbourne, for a 3 day stint under the caring knives and needles of the Eugenix team in Delhi, although i have added a week post op, to heal, and get some daily, follow up TLC from the team there, taking some advice from Gatsby, and doing a little travell as well. I have the usual butterflies, and concerns, but feel that the due diligence done, genuine and helpful information disclosed here, plus visible results portrayed by many previous Eugenix clients, confirms the Eugenix team are more than capable of tackling any curve balls thrown, or googlies spun their way! Just 2 concerns i still have, that perhaps can be discussed for all prospective clients moving forward. Clearing up the non disclosure issue-have we the right, to 'not' agree to signing this, with the hope it does not jeopardise the way in which we are treated, [visibly or secretly] by the team there? Has it been already cleared up in those previous posts that were going to and fro? Rob 7331 has some good advice, regarding designs, and being patient and clear headed. With my original discussions with the Eugenix team, they looked at the pictures, drew and decided to create their ideal 'design' of what they think should be done to your head. I have thought it through a few times, as i'm sure others have, or will have. Can we alter things on the day of the design consultation, and how firm can we be with our desires, if we have thought it through a lot more, as i believe there isn't much time, with a couple of ops being done on the day, and the Doctor being busy? All the best Aussie 2020, and others going in April, hoping the Eugenix Easter Bunny brings us all some memorable chocolates!
  7. If one is to go to Eugenix, and have a HT, is their 7 day package of medication, inclusive of Finasteride, and Minoxidil? Will they also give you a prescription for it, to take back home, or is it incumbent upon you to do this on arrival? Never taken or used them before, but will be going there in April, for a HT, and thought what is it that they will provide, and what will i need to get back home? thanks. Andy.
  8. Hey Melvin, do you have the ''Bat phone connection" direct to Delhi?😆 It's great you are able to get answers from them so quickly, to assist with these issues. I'm trying to finalise my HT with Eugenix, and needing a video consult with a Doctor, but finding it hard to get consistent communication with them, [wish i had 'that' phone] so this thread casts some questions relating to complex cases [like mine] and clients expectations, and whether there are obligations to sign specific documents, and if there is some detriment to you if you don't sign. It opens up a can of worms that sows seeds of doubts to prospective HT candidates who are already on edge, even after having done due diligence, and have made a decision! You are never going to forecast the final outcome and know what your reaction is going to be, even when you do the proper research, or, if various issues occur from known or unknown circumstances, so that's concerning. I suppose when you also have some financial skin in the game, and it may be a lot to some, admittedly, you are going to be more dissapointed and concerned, as opposed to someone who hasn't spent anything!
  9. Brilliant assessment. No surgery has been done yet, just learning about this, so no surgeons instructions to stick to as yet. Doesn't sound too hard at all.
  10. Hi, would regular summer dips in the ocean, be a proxy for saline sprays, if you are careful not to get wiped out by waves?
  11. Hi Hopeforbest, The work looks nice and dense. Congratulations on your choice and all the best for good growth and coverage. Was it all donor scalp hair, and no beard grafts? I am also a 3V and was given a 1700-2000 quote from Eugenix, for a crown HT that is eerily similar to yours. As i am going soon for a few procedures, i have a concern with 1700, as well. I am inclined to go more as i have been told Beard grafts will also be used, and do not create as much density. Did the team say that 2500+ would give that area good density? Also, how convincing did you need to be to ask for more and who did the implanting? Thanks for your time, and enjoy a good rest. Best of luck.
  12. Thanks Melvin, very helpful. Really enjoy the short videos you present. With 400 scalp hairs and 1600 beard hairs [estimate], given to me, to do my crown, this video raises a question. When the beard hairs stop being in the growth phase, what does that actually mean? Does that mean they all fall out, and you are left with 400 scalp hairs, only visible? If they disappear, making the crown very sparse, how long before they regrow back to create the denser look, and will this keep occurring on and off, forever? Also, does the beard hair eventually soften up to resemble the scalp hair more? One more thing, is that 400/1600 ratio, of too many beard to scalp hairs, going to make the crown region an unusually different looking area to the rest of the head, and what would be a better ratio of hairs to blend in better. thank you. Andy
  13. Brilliant write up, Ishy, and an exceptionally clean job. Good luck with the growth process. I will also be looking at giving Dr. Path an opportunity to assess my situation, as well, after reading your experience there. Travel times are longer to Turkey, and India from Oz, where i am as well, and even though i have virtually made my decision to go to India, i thought it best to check him out. Is the no shave HT you had, something you asked for specifically, or does he make it available to everyone? All the best mate, thanks for your time, Andy.
  14. Amazing story Gatsby, and eloquently delivered to all our readers. Well done. Sensational work from the Eugenix team. Credit to them. Your patience over the years is commendable, Gatsby. The courage, strength, determination, and sheer will power, towards the end of 6 gruelling days, when the tank was on empty physically and emotionally-well that is just pure stuff of legends. The brilliant work done on you is fit for a legend, so congratulations, mate, you deserved it. All the best on this new road, i'll also be keeping track of your progress...... Cheers. Andy.
  15. Hi Grouse, SLA. The previous FUT Scar that I needed concealing with Beard grafts may have been a red flag for De Freitas, because you mentioned Grouse, that he may not do BHT. As the request of top up beard hairs for the crown was also asked to be considered, if my donor was not dense enough, due to that FUT scar, that could have also concerned him. I also threw in a need for eyebrow replenishing, which is probably not as sexy as a thick frontal hairline that promotes his brand more so than my motley requests, so i guess, the 1 week turnaround of sending pictures, to receiving a no answer pretty well, categorically means, 'i am not interested in your average joe job.' Travelling from Down Under to Europe or India is a big ask if i am not getting certainty, so you are spot on there, SLA, which i am in the process of finding out again with Eugenix, and Dr. Bicer. Cheers to all.
