The best thing to do is to ask the clinic to provide you the reference of the patient whose pictures have been put up. Most patients who are willing to share their pictures are also willing to give their contact details so that they can speak with the concerned individuals. You can look at pictures posted but verification and proper research is of utmost importance when it comes to choosing a hair transplant center.

1- should I wait till my thinning is more progressed before getting a 2nd transplant Ans: You should take finasteride to prevent any further progression of baldness. You should try to save as much hair as possible with the use of finasteride regardless of a second transplant or not. 2- Do I have enough donor left to do another transplant including beard and chest hair? Ans: You seem to have sufficient donor left for the transplantation procedure. Your donor in the back scalp and sides of the scalp seem more than enough. 3- how many grafts do you think it will take to cover the entire area with medium density? Ans: You would require around 2000 to 2500 grafts approximately for the entire coverage.

It is difficult to comment without looking at before and after pictures. I would advise to consult the doctor at earliest and get the pictures documented to evaluate the progress.

You can use the aloe vera spray after the first headwash.

To say the truth, you do not need anything other than saline spray. The spray will be more than sufficient. I didn't use anything other than that while in the healing period. Other than that I used antibiotics and antacids.

We are replying to all the concerns in most truthful and honest manner At Eugenix, our approach is to first evaluate the donor area (both scalp and beard) and estimate conservatively what best we can harvest without damaging donor with excessive thinning and at the same time not relying too much on beard (as the beard hair growth turns out good to excellent in some patients and moderate to poor in others; probably dependent on one's growth rate of beard hair which is quite variable in most patients). So that's why in this particular case, we didn't over promise beard. We felt that 2000 grafts from safe donor zone can be extracted. We tend to avoid very thin hair or miniaturized hair to avoid poor results). The remaining grafts we planned to do from beard. So, there was no miscalculation of grafts as we had clearly demarcated the area that we are planning to cover. Also, our plan was to keep midscalp density lesser so that maximum area is covered. At the time of pre surgery counselling, we clarify completely that the transplanted hair provide full look in dry state. However, if the hair are made wet with water or oil is applied, then it will look sparse and skin will show. (However, we don't have documentation of the video of face to face consultation in the clinic 😔 but these points are mentioned in pre surgery consent form). At 8 months timeline, our patient was extremely unhappy with midscalp growth and wanted immediate implantation to fix the problem. He has mentioned that he is satisfied with frontal hairline growth. Hello @xpressabhi, Topical finasteride gel is generally recommended to patients who do not wish to take the oral drug. Based upon the literature review, and our very limited personal experience, we have found that Finasteride gel is working well for many patients. Whether its efficacy is same, or lesser than oral Finasteride is not known and lack of studies on the topical version prevents us from taking a position statement. You may use finasteride gel alternatively i.e. on the days when you're not consuming oral finasteride. You can use 0.5 teaspoon once at bedtime, to be rubbed on to the roots of the thinning area.
