I did not decide anything as i wrote in my thread. This is silly honestly where  you are trying to assume that the pasient did something wrong here and decided the amount of grafs he is going to get. I went to a doctor who are specialized in this field. Who am I to argue with him when he clearly tells me that, " this should be good enough to get good coverage with a afro hair". so one should ask that question to the doctor. I assume also that a lot of the grafs did not survive and that is worrying too

Thanks for answering, now I understand.

It was definitely far from enough just wanted to clarify that this wasn’t your request.

    You said " I transplanted 1300 graphs on a  1.5 cm"

That doesn't explain anything. My question is why did you decide to implant so little, I can only assume it was due to budget constraints

I agree with Dr Taleb, you needed at least 2.000 to 2.400 grafts to cover that area.

I hope the clinic can resolve this for you. You should be a little nicer, it goes a long way.

I agree, would be nice to know why you decided to implant such a small amount of grafts.

    Looks amazing work! congrats!

Serious question though: Has anyone seen Couto ever do a non-spanish looking dude? I.e. not black, thick hair...

I've checked a lot of his results out but i don't recall ever seeing a fine-blonde haired dude...

There’s no such a thing as a Spanish looking dude, half of the population as light hair and pale skin…

but yeah most of his results are on darker hair that’s true.

So I had my procedure yesterday. To give some context I am a Norwood 5/5A, started microneedling and fin a couple months ago. I had some growth on the hairline but it was very thin and whispy hair - the dermatologist I was seeing said it would grow into thicker hair over time.. When I talked to most clinics they recommended two procedures - one for the hairline/mid scalp/outer crown and then one for the inner crown a year later. The plan was Fin and Min would recover a fair bit of hair in the inner crown so less grafts would be needed and it would give time for the donor area to recover.

The original plan was for the Doctor to go to the bottom of this new hairline which is at the white line in the photo - you can see the little white circles are the hairs already growing back.

However he decided instead to go a bit higher with a zigzag pattern. This is as he thinks the implanted hair will blend into the existing hair (white circles) and thus make it look much more natural. If that doesn't work out - if the hair in the white circles doesn't grow out properly - then he would do the hairline properly during the second procedure.

Tbh I agreed with it at the time as it made sense but looking for second opinions now - what do you guys think of such a strategy? Makes sense or too conservative?

Nice. And you don’t use the drops topically at all?

Have you considered upping your oral dosage and terminating the drops altogether ?

I mean the drops act just like the oral version, but yeah I’d love that unfortunately it’s impossible to find a doc willing to prescribe minox in the USA it would be different if I was in Spain. Took me months to find someone and this doc only prescribes 1.25. Anyway in a couple of years from now all the health online companies will be prescribing oral minox and I won’t have to pass by a doctor.
It was the same shit 10 years ago when you wanted to get Fina, too dangerous too this too that and now you can get it anywhere…

What dosage do you take, and when did you start to notice results with your hair?

I do 1.25 in the morning with the pill and 2 drops of the liquid under the tong at night.
it took a couple of months but it was pretty significant for me hair got much thicker, temple points started to grow new hair that I never had before, eyebrows and lashes grew and body hair in general. I love it.

No, I knew my crown was that bald. That's why when Dr. Sethi said we could another 1,500 grafts I was intrigued because I know that would probably put over the top. But let's see how this grows. Hopefully I won't need any concealers, or at the very least only need a sprinkle.

Looks amazing Melvin, you could do some smp so you won’t have to use any fiber.

Couple of days into month 7 … or month 2 for the 2nd surgery ! According to the growth charts I should see another significant boost with the 1st op and if all goes the same as last time, I should see some early growth for the 2nd! Fingers crossed ! Happy new year everyone ! 2022 is the first year in a long while that I will be entering with a head of my own hair!
