Absolutely DO NOT do this without your doctor's agreement and supervision! Yes, the wounds would likely need to be fresh. In the procedure on mice Verteporfin was injected around the edges of the wound immediately after creating the wound. Repeated injections on day 4, 8 and 12 didn't improve outcomes and had detrimental effects.
Again, if you're considering doing this without your doctor - please don't!
Yes, sometimes the finest break throughs are found this way oddly enough

Good to hear that I can provide some insight. Have you done the hairtransplant yet?
I haven’t but I’m def going too most likely this year already have a doctor in mind
-
Use hair fibers you have enough hair to pull off a full look with a little hair fibers
-
Looks great and you can always get more since your brother thread said that his donor had 9k grafts and you only used 2k so you have 7k left
-
-
Zidane should go to eugenix maybe they can help!
-
I would go with eugenix If it’s just 700$ more take fin tho at least every other day if side effects occur

Try topical dut, take fin, derma roll roagine throw the kitchen sink at in and you’ll probably need less grafts by the end of it
-
What if someone who recently got an fue purchased a vial and tried it out? I’m assuming it would need to be put on fresh wounds multiple times?
-
Wow my hairloss is almost exactly the same so it’s great to see how it would look during the process when I go through with seems that when it’s just temples it’s easier to disguise it it looks so dense and natural
-
I rather use the 2250 grafts on your hairline
-
You don’t need it use rogaine for one year and it’ll grow your beard, keep applying until the hairs become terminal they will never fall out after that I attempted this experiment and it worked wonderfully

My hairline is in a similar spot maybe a little less thin will be keeping a close eye on this thread how old were you when you got your transplant ?
-
1500-2000 grafts my hair loss is similar and I was they said 1500

Do you have a budget? They all seem to be doctors in turkey

Hello everyone,
2 month Update
Happy New year, hope everyone safe during this omicron covid alert.
Here is my 2 month update, nothing much have changed, done with shedding phase and now waiting for magic.
I am not taking finex, and just taking multivitamin and balanced diet.
Is it ok to apply oil on the transplanted are now ? which oil would be a good choice?.
I do see some hairs sprouting but looks like there are still empty patches in the transplanted area.
Apart from that my dandruff is in control but I get itching sometime in my head.
Do you have more pictures from before the transplant?

@Dillpickle123 yeah I think I’ll draw less attention to my head with keeping at least a little hair on top. But he may have to cut it short depending on where you want to get grafts and how much native hair is in the surrounding area. Basically he said as long as I can see the skin I can place the grafts.
I didn’t ask for or get a specific layout of how many grafts per cm and 1’s 2’s 3’s etc - maybe I’ll follow up with Nader and see if I can get one.
Thanks I’m a Norwood 2 need temple and forelock work he quoted me 1500 grafts I think I may need more but when I eventually go we’ll see does he do an analysis of the scalp before?

@SadMan2021 When Dr Nader asked me when I was due to return to work and I said Tuesday Jan 4th he brought up the option to leave a little hair up top to help conceal the recipient area, even though I can wear a hat to work and he said that was fine too… I was not expecting to do a no-shave but he said it would be easy enough so I figured why not! I’ll probably trim it all down at some point as it heals and it starts to look weird with different lengths of hair.
That’s good that he leaves the option to leave it long on top when I emailed him his assistant Brenda responded in like 3 days I want to be on fin for at least a year before I do it but I’m most likely going to him did he state what the density per cm was?

Two week update. My concerns:
The two sides still look noticeably different to me.
I don't know if the density will end up being enough to make me happy.
I have a hard time not touching the area, feeling for hard pieces and trying to rub them off. I exacerbate some of the hairs falling out because of this, but I guess they're going to fall out regardless, so not a huge deal?
I'll be going into work for the first time on Monday. A bit nervous about that, but I already told everyone so that takes a lot of pressure off. Otherwise I still hide away. But I don't look as ridiculous as I thought I might at this point.
@stephcurry30 nice, welcome. I take it you haven't opted for a procedure yourself, yet?
My hairline is similar and I’ve been quoted anywhere from 1600-1800 grafts then again I want a slightly more aggressive hairline, you can always go back for a few hundred more grafts later after 12 months

Hi all,
I’ve been thinking about the potential of a hair transplant for almost two years now to address my receding corners. I’m 26 years old and about a NW2 (pictures attached.) I started noticing some hair loss in my early 20s but not much until around 23.
I’ve schedule multiple consultations with Surgeons in my area for January (predominantly NY area) and one doctor gave me an estimate for around 1600-1800 grafts to fill the corners and try to build a fuller hairline. I think this is reasonable given my current situation.
I’ve been taking Finasteride for about 15 months and so far I haven’t noticed a ton of further hair loss. I do have some MPB in my family but no one is completely bald. I have to imagine I’ll see some level of loss down the road so I want to go with a conservative approach to build a “mature” hairline that will look natural into an older age.
I’ve heard that for younger patients FUT is a good decision as it can leave you with more donor supply for future HTs but I like to wear my hair short in the back and sides with a fade. I also have a scar on the side of my head that I got from a rugby game when I split my head and had to get staples. The scar was repaired decently but left a bump on the side of my head that causes concern given an FUT scar could do the same but much larger.Would really appreciate hearing what you guys think. If I were to go with an FUE given my current situation could that put me in a bad spot down the line?
Ive included some rough estimates of where I’d like the hairline to be… is that a reasonable request given my age?
Any feedback would be amazing.
Thanks guys!
It seems that your temple points receded too was that after taking finasteride? And your crown looks a little thin fut would probably be best If you believe you’ll need to get more hair transplants

Hi!
36 y.o
I think I am a Norwood 6. Lost my hair when I was around 20 y.o.
Don't know if I have much more hair to lose at this point.Never really took any medication or anything for my hair loss as the sides are just too scary. Did a small 3-4 week period with Mixoydl but I got extremely flaky skin to the point it was embarrassing to go to work as it looked like severe dandruff so stopped that.
Am comfortable as a badlie and do a full blade shave every morning however I know I will look much better with hair.
Would consider an FUE in the future and would continue shaving my hair for the entire first year post-op.
Have read good things about Dr. Pekiner in Ankara, Turkey and would probably go with him.
Any opinions?Go to eugenix they can do it they specialize in higher Norwoods
Thinking of getting a transplant this year

Thanks to this forum for the wealth of info! I’m thinking between these two surgeons for results I’ve seen, price and proximity to me I’ve had two consultations one with Dr Nader of Nader medical and one with Dr Cortez for HMR both estimated about 1500-1600 grafts to fill in the temples my hair loss has not progressed been taking fin but there has been no regrowth either fin did it’s job though with no side effects, wondering if you guys think that amount of grafts is enough for what my goals are? I have drawn where I would like the new hairline to be there’s pictures of the hair when wet and when dry and donor
