  1. I’ve had over 8k beard grafts extracted and transplanted. I think leave it for the time being and let this surgery grow out because you may love the results anyway. But in the future you could always go to Eugenix if you feel the need. Not everyone has the artistic skill to utilize beard hair in large numbers. My girlfriend can’t tell that my hair is made up of beard. All the best.

  2. I would recommend that you should be guided by your doctor/dermatologist when taking this. Personally I started on 2.5mg a day for three months and then upped the dose to 5mg a day by my dermatologist. I’ve been on this regimen now for a year and a half (?). My native and transplanted hair as well as my beard feels thicker and stronger and I believe stays in the anagen phase longer. I haven’t experienced any side effects and for someone who cannot take Finasteride, oral minoxidil has been a God send. 🙏

I am now at week 6.

At week six you are in the ugly duckling phase where the transplanted hair will be shedding. It's impossible to tell how your results will turn out. You need to be  patient before you can see how your hair looks and give it 'at least' six months before making any judgement and really twelve months is when you can call it so to speak. Stay on the medication you are taking and give that frontal area more time. All the best!

  4. I really like how Dr Kesser left your native hair in the midpoint of the hairline to give it a more natural result. There are though some multi grafts in the temples and hairline however. The growth and your donor is looking excellent for only five months. You have plenty of time ahead of you for even more growth and thickening up of your hair.

  5. At 26 you need a surgeon who is well versed with Norwood 6/7 patients over the lifespan. That to me means Dr Pittella, Dr Zarev and Dr Sethi. If the cost is a problem then I would not risk having surgery so young. I would definitely suggest you try finasteride and minoxidil (I'm not a doctor) prior to surgery to try and stabilize your hair loss. Wishing you all the best!

  6. @Scarhelp you could try contacting Dr Jerry Wong in Canada. Send him pics of your scar and see what he thinks in terms of is it worth doing another strip to narrow the scar's width? Do you have nay other scars? do they tend to heal well? For many people genes will determine this. I had bad punch graft scars and later scars from trying to reduce the width. I had SMP and was fairly happy with the results. Later when I had my first and second hair transplant I had beard and body hair farmed into the scars. All the best.
