    Ive taken 5mg finasteride a few times and it did not effect me. So should I say I get sides when I dont? Should I lie? I am lost for words at this point. Some people get side effects, others dont! For me before the first time I took fina, it was in my head as I was afraid due to what i was reading. Anyways Dutasteride0.5mg, Minoxidlmax topical minox 15%/fina and spiro topical have now arrived and ive started these. I will update with honesty if I get side effects. I have nothing to hide and wish everyone the best on their hair journeys but one last time: F$&k DHT.

    For all those seemingly amazed at my regimen(?). This attached below is a real hardcore regimen. Please have a read. Hes on Estrogen, oral minoxidl, dutasteride, sprio, cypro and doses I wouldnt even dream about taking. He regrew all his hair, but basically chemically castrated himself. Have a read at this, and then you know what an extreme regimen is. Again thus far I have 0 sides except minor brain fog which may also be placebo. If I get sides, ill taper down.     If DHT is so useful, why are you yourself blocking it? If its essential for our brains most of us would be zombies. This is clearly being a hypocrite. Also what am i saying to influence young people negatively? I am not forcing anyone to do anything, these are simply my views and my views only. So I dont understand this point either. 5AR yes is essential but DHT is not, if it was you would not be blocking it! We can live without DHT! I am not saying we should block testosterone, that is a different topic altogether!!!     Do you know how many people commit suicide due to hair loss? Even in the case Finasteride sides and resulting suicide isnt hair loss the reason people were on drugs in the first place? Are you people serious? Anyways, my thread, my decisions, my opinions. Yes I do believe we are better off blocking DHT after puberty, and you (duchaine) also are on finasteride blocking DHT....I think were going in circles here. But the fact that hairloss destroys lives, that we cannot argue. Search online, countless recluses, countless suicides, countless people loosing their confidence, fiances, careers....

    Very small percentage get side effects. Many people dont. Its a pity some dont take it to save their hair through fear and then live with regrets. Some would also get side effects as placebo is a powerful thing! It does get in your head. Hair loss has destroyed countless lives, families and oportunities for people so its got plenty of ‘side effects’ too! DHT is a curse in itself after puberty. If DHT is so important millions of men wouldnt be able to happily live without it. Period. F&$@ DHT. I am trying to regrow hair not prevent hair loss, its a whole different ball game and much harder, if I were preventing id be on 1.25mg. There are people on full trans regimens with Estrogen, spiro and cypro and they still get erections and lead normal lives. I refuse to let fear dominate my life, 2.5mg fina is not significant at all and I need to stick to this mindset.

    After puberty DHT serves limited purpose so yes after completing puberty men are better without DHT. Well if im so wrong and dumb why do so many men block DHT if it is so useful? Why is Finasteride a billion dollar hair loss drug? Why are we all trying to stop it to keep our hair? DHT ages you in many ways. This is basic science and one of the reasons women live longer, our hormones as men take a toll on our bodies. 2.5mg blocks a higher percentage vs 1mg and Dutasteride is even better vs 2.5mg finasteride. Im not here to argue, you do your thing and let me do mine

    You can easily come off Finasteride to concieve. Your body starts producing DHT again. Well no DHT no acne, no hair loss.... I could go without it myself. The fact that youre here means DHT is likely to have effected you negatively too It is the root of many problems in men.....

    Hey Nightcrawler, Thanks for your message, The effect im after is nuking DHT at its root so none binds to AR. Ive seen some great results with 0.5mg dutasteride a day and im still far off that dosage. 2.5 mg fin is not as effective as 0.5 dutasteride by a Longshot since Dutasteride blocks both type I and II 5a reductase. I have come to believe that DHT is not good for us at all and should be eradicated it has some negative effects including hirsutism, acne and hairloss. I also suffered with really bad acne theough my teenage years. Many people are on 5mg daily finasteride for prostate issues so its a common dose too. I understand where you are coming from though. The side effects are in our heads.

    Yeah most of the procedure was around the frontal. But yes some on middle scalp. Im an extremist by nature and want to get the most out of everything. This will eventually kill me... but its how I am. It had led to great wins and lossess in my life. Attached image is of my HT. In middle scalp there isnt any dense packing but yes some grafts were put there. I dont know the thought of re gaining hair through meds is still a little abstract and hard to gauge for me, hence why am going hard to see if possible...hopefully in few months everything will come together and I will stop wearing the dreaded cap that I hate so so much.

    Its close to impossible to regain temples. They are the hardest to re gain. Even people on full trans hrt regimen with big Estrogen doses and oral spiro, cypro etc hardly ever get temples back, this is why I decided to restore frontal with FUE and use meds for mid scalp and vertex. I have gone this route because I cannot wait any longer, im 25 and hairloss has dominated my life for a long time so if im lucky and get the vertex to fill in ill have decent hair. Thats all i really want, to be me again. Ill do body hair to crown FUE if this doesnt work, but im not looking forward to that at all. Hopefully ill get some native hair come back at front too will make it extra thick. Just wishful thinking at this point.

    Worst sides ive had thus far are with Minoxidl as since I derma roll and apply straight after it regularly goes systematic. Ive had bloated eyes, water retention causing weight gain and black eye circles. I am probs using a little more than I should, a cap ful twice daily shouldnt be an extreme amount tho. I dont care about sides and really dont want to be bald. Alopecia f&$@ sucks!!!

    Im currently on 2.5mg finasteride and saw palmetto. Ive been waiting for Dutasteride to arrive for a while and am keen as hell to get on 0.5mg weekly and go up from there. This is the second time ive taken finasteride. 1st time was when I was 18 after I destroyed my hair with anabolic steroids. I carry the guilt of causing this problem or atleast pre maturely causing it. It gave me erectile dysfunction the first time but I constantly thought about it 24/7. This time I couldnt care less and havent had the problem again. Im also on double the dose and some days I take more like a whole 5mg. I think the sides are really in our heads, atleast in most cases. I also crush fina and use with Minoxidl. I do have some brain fog but classic ganj* fogs me out so its the cure there, makes me extra fogged

    Estrogen is off the books, I highly value being muscular and having a male physique with nice chest and biceps. I also really really dont want Gyno at all costs. That would really suck. Im heterosexual so dont want to look like a woman. I still dont know if this will work or not but there seems to be alot of tiny hairs that seem stunted and grow much smaller, maybe it just needs time. I will be trying topical spironolactone as topical gives no sides or so ive been told. I will be adding 5mg daily oral minoxidl soon but may start at 2.5mg and increase slowly. Bicatulamide is one that interests me but need more research about it, also got Cypro but dont think ill ever use it. Also dutasteride is on the way, and ill sure as hell be using that + finasteride oral and topical + topical spiro, saw palmetto, oral and topical minoxidl etc etc etc

    5 weeks post op. Shaved to low guard so as to look more normal. There may be some shock loss but i am well recovering. Half my mid scalp hair seems a little stunted for some reason and growing slower, makes me look much balder than I really am. Still applying min 2x daily, dermarolling 0.5mm etc. Having a shaved head its easier to apply minoxidl on crown and am not looking at the mirror all the time.

    I seem to have more ‘diffuse loss’ or over harvested donor, sorry to ask on your thread but seems on topic. What do you guys think? Its been an exact month since my op 3100 graft FUE. If it stays like this ill either have to grow it long or keep it low shave with FUE scars visible and pray to god the top fills in...

    Update pics, tempes and crown Temples slowly filling in and the new FUE hair line is looking more natural. Crown area still needs alot of work...

    Holy s&$t. my temples are noticibly filling in. I can see more vellous hair coming in daily and those that were already there are slowly turning into thicker terminal hairs. This may be getting interesting....

    Hey Abi, Thanks for your message. I just thought since am somewhat now responding to Minoxidl I thought oral would be a nice combo. Maybe even around 2.5 mg ed at start and increase to max 5mg as I go. If see any negative sides taper down straight away...ive got a long way to go so worth testing how I react to different substances and ingestion methods. I guess im just keen to see some decent crown re-growth. @duchaine what is the maximum daily amount you speak of? Cheers

    This is my crown right now. My mid scalp is responding with many new hair sprouting (pic1) but low crown is still a little slow. Ive started derma rolling today and have ordered 15% minox with fina. I always crush fina tablets with foam minoxidl 2x daily and take oral finasteride. Soon will start dutasteride and Spironolactone cream and also Ket DHT block shampoo also take saw palmetto. Have also started derma rolling before Minoxidl from today. Im going all out to try and get results as fast as possible and then maintain from the on with AR5 blockers. I am seriously considering oral 5mg day Minoxidl aswell! @GokuHair do you think its worth it to add to my regimen? Thanks @Abi28! Since im gonna be on so many different drugs I gave up on sides. I am slowly loosing libido too, Ill go hard for 6 months and then taper down. I apply so much Minoxidl to my temples some is bound to end up on my face, gonna end up a gorilla soon 😛 strangely getting pimples and new hairs sprouting from my FUE session too. Its only been 26 days since my op.... I just need to restore that crown

    Running my fingers through my hair I feel alot of tiny hairs just poking through. Do you guys think this is growth from minoxidl? The minox shedding coming back? It will really help fill in some volume if I can get these hairs to thiken up. Theyre sprouting all around my scalp, even in balding areas. Plus also my temples are seemingly filling in? Ive also noticed yesterday I had a thick black hair growing on my nose! And getting hairs around my nose, random hairs in eye lashes are growing alot longer than they usually do, now have to trim them..... maybe im a responder after all?

    Update: slowly seeing some growth on the temples from Minoxidl with added crushed finasteride tablets. I have been using for 3 months now alongside oral finasteride. Pics attached, hopefully I keep responding and promote regrowth. I had a super bad shed with Minoxidl and havent fully recovered yet, but this new temple growth has me excited. It also seems to be happening relatively fast but maybe im just being obsessive here. Ive also just purchased 15% minoxidl with finasteride and 5% spiro topical solution from Minoxidlmax. Will get on Dutasteride soon also. Will also be using Hair resto labs pro strength DHT shampoo when it arrives.
