Snoring/sleep apnea causes anxiety and depression? Could you please explain in more detail? How intense is your snoring?
Interrupting your deep sleep causes you to be anxious as fuck during the day. My eyes are always tired and i look like i m hungover. Long term anxiety leads to depression. I m having trouble breathing during sleep so i end up waking up myself which i wasnt even aware of until my girlfriend told me. So i m in a deadly circle, snoring brought me sleep deprivation which lead me to anxiety which lead me back to anxiety induced insomnia. Its tough, i havent slept 8 hrs in one run for year and a half. I always wake up after 4,5 hrs of sleep, the best i could do is wake up after 6 hrs.

Ditched fin about 5 years ago after a failed romantic encounter after drinking for 12+ hours. It was only when I spoke to a surgeon a few weeks later I was told I’m a ****ing idiot & been back on it ever since.
No decrease in libido whatsoever.
great news there.

I have registered an account on propecia help forum so i could talk with people that are complaining about the drug and got suspended because i questioned the cause one guys symptoms. I was ban 1 minute after posting a comment lmao. "Account suspended until February 11, 3020: Non patient, abusive". People complaining about anxiety and brainfog and they blame finestridie for it. I have brainfog and anxiety and its because i have snoring problems. I m not even on fin but its a huge bullshit that suddenly people complain about it since you have 10000% more chance that you have sleep apenea than Post fin sidees. There is somethign really fishy going on propecia help forum. Either people trying to get an easy $ from lawsuits or just people with really bad heath conditions (obese etc etc)
What is your opinion on that forum? -
Halflife of a drug is not the only factor. The drug stacks up in your body
-
I m replying to this to bump it so other people can see it. I m interested in other peoples opinion on this.
Hair is always an upgrade to a look, but if its not looking properly its just a huge downgrade. Sometimes shaving really is an option. I could never imagine myself shaved up because i m really tall and i have a huge ass head lmao, i d look ugly as fuck. But i d rather be shaved down than rocking a thinned hair. Hair transplants, if done well, can really make difference i think. Especially if we are talking about one where they cut your skin parts and replant it on your bald spots. My barber said he couldnt even tell if one guy did transplant because how well it was done -
Stopping taking fin for few months wont hurt you in the long run. I d recommend stop taking it and put the pills far away from your wife. Stop the fin just for the psychological factor so you dont have to think about it. Even Ashton Kutcher was adviced to stop Dut few months before having a baby
-
If you go for topical fin, i wouldnt recommend doing dermarolling because it will defeat topicals purpose. People go for topical fin to avoid systemic absorption. Derma rolling will increase the systemic absorption
-
Bump. I cant find a single person who makes topical fin without minox :(. Seroxly is a good alternative but its too expensive and i cant get it in my country

Why so against minoxidil?
Because its too early for me to go on minox. Theres only so much time you can use it. It also doesnt give you 2nd chance if you want to switch over to something else. With fin you are just pausing the hairloss and you wont lose everything if you stop
-
Your hair looks really good. What made you go on finestiride? Going this early could be really benefitial for sure. Are you sure you even have MPB?
-
I want to start with topical finestiride 3 times a week with a dose around 0.6mg. I need someone to help me understand how to mix fin with propyl gl. and ethanol. I m aiming for making 1 dose only. Not in bulk. So how much of all the stuff should i put with 0.6mg fin powder? I cant find anything on the internet since everyone is using minoxidil with it. I cant find stemoxidyl in my country and its pretty expensive to be fair. Someone please help me with the right formula.

1mm - 1.5mm. Just dont apply minoxidil few hours after dermarolling. You can get it off amazon, aliexpress. I bought it from some local retailer, its cheap. You can do it every 5, 6, 7 days

1. My guess: The libido problems are coming from thinking to much about your libido and how hard your erection is.
2. You answered your question yourself. Libido is not the same all the time for anyone. Mine is high anyway, and FIN had no decreasing effect. Actually I hoped it would go down on FIN, but maybe it even went up.
3. "As hard as it used to be", lol. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't. But honestly, why should there be any correlation with FIN? It is not like you Johnson is built from DHT. One can discuss an effect on libido, but once you are aroused and you are relaxed why should FIN effect the "result"?
Because DHT is corelated with libido. People who take "testestorne" boosters get much higher libido. And they dont get their test boosted, only DHT, which makes those boosters useless. There are a lot more things that fin surpresses other than DHT which can affect GABA receptors and their sensitivity. Its kinda scary. But yeah, maybe just giving it a try wouldnt harm more than depression because of hairloss.

Agree with that. I remember around 30-31 I noticed my libido drop off - not drastically - but certainly reduced by say 25% over what it was early 20s, and maybe lost 1% a year ever since.
I have also noticed the phenomenon that it goes up 12-24 hours after taking fin.
I had not even touched fin until 34.
Never had my T levels checked but no problems putting on size in the gym even at age 41.

The question is: What do you define as side effects?
The main side effect of FIN is to slows down you hairloss: It certainly works for me (and many others). The "main effects" is/may that it reduces DHT and shrinks your prostate and makes you ejaculate more "fluent"...I think that happens to almost anyone.
Regarding libido and erections: I did not see any (negative) effect. If there was one, than that my libido went up. It increases T in the end. Well, maybe the high libido is sometimes a negative effect in itself 😉
Anyway, I never supported the theory that we are purely a slave of our hormones. There are million of men with a high libido and low (natural) DHT. Hell, there are million of humans with libido and very very low DHT...we call them women.
I see your point. I guess libido problems come from elevated estrogen and not blocked DHT. But still, you really dont feel any degradation in libido? I m not on any medication but i have couple of days where my libido is low because nobody has high libido all the time. My question is more like: can you achieve your hardest errection like before taking the drug? Is your dick as hard as it used to be? (no homo :D)
-
I was wondering if it was possible to take fin and have 0 influence of your libido/errection and other sides. Like literally 0% sides. Do some of you guys take fin and feel like literally nothing changed? I m preparing mentally to hop on 3x a week fin, i dont need prescription for it where i live so its super easy to get it. I feel like i m gonna have more errection problems from depression i m gonna have from hairloss than have it from sides

If I may ask, why are you so opposed to using topical minoxidil?
Because my hairloss is barely even visible. Its there but i dont need a stimulant yet. I would save minox if shit gets more serious over time. I dont like being 100% dependent off a stimulant. You can stop fin and not lose all of your hair you held on to. You will just resume your hairloss. But stopping minox sounds nasty.

You can make a Fin topical with crashed pills in a mix of ethanol alcohol (Everclear) + propylene glycol + distilled water....50%-30%-20% solutution.
Thanks.

How is your libido now? Did you do the bloodwork before taking fin? You do realize if your hormones are too high or too low fin can cause these effects. Go get your hormones checked, you can fix it

My hairloss like many is extremely slow. I've avoided finasteride for 10 years. Now with my transplant I've bought myself maybe another 10 years for a new treatment to hit the market. Maybe it never will. In which case I could always get a 2nd procedure. The worst case scenario is my hairloss suddenly becoming aggressive (doubt it) in which case I might resort to meds
It's an ugly fight I know. There is no easy route
Hairloss sucks so much because hair really does make a huge difference. "Just shave it" doesnt work that easily. Majority shaved people are regretting it at some point

Again, looks ok to me. You can either -
1) Jump on meds, probably for life, risking the sides
2) Wait it out. Get a transplant at 30. Use toppik in meantime
I choose the latter and have no regrets
Getting a transplant still means i need to take propecia and minoxidil to keep that hair. I m really aware of the possible side effect, and as i said earlier, i wouldnt ever fuck with hormones since i m not a person that could do it most likely. So you do realize i would need to jump on finestiride at some point if i really wanted to keep my hair? Minoxidil alone stops working after some time. DHT needs to be stopped in scalp.
I do respect your advice because you are not so easily jumping on the finestiride train. But i do think its neccacary at some point in hairloss. Thats why i was looking for topical finestiride -

If you want to save them quickly get into medicines . Trust me I was in the same situation which you currently are and I just ignore it n focused on home remedies like oiling scalp, onion juice etc but things got worse with time and now I have lost so much hair that I'm considering a hair transplant. The only thing I regret was I wished I knew about my genetic hairloss and had immediately started with medications.
I would get on fin but: 1.i dont know how could i get it where i live right now(i could probably do it somehow but i have no info) 2.i dont want to fuck with my libido. Even if its a slight loss of libido its enough for me to not consider it as an option. I dont believe that you can surpress 70% of dht and have your libido 100% unaffected.
I will most likely go bald at some point, but my hairloss is progressing so slow, i might have my first real hair issues in my mid 30s..(im 24). My uncle is 50, has a gene for hairloss and he still held on to his hair. I m keeping track of my hairloss for 2 years so far and it didnt change for me yet. Could be a small change that was not easy to notice. I dont wanna start minox this young because you eventually get tolerant to it. Minoxidil is my last resort. Finestiride is too risky for someone who really cares about libido. Also fin is no advised to people prone to depression and anxiety. Its too big of a risk

I would get on the Fin now but not the full dose. Do something like 0.5mg MWF, or 1.25mg (1/4 Proscar) MF. See how you get on. You do not need to take the full amount.
I heard 1mg 3 times a week is enough. But im not running from the optimal dose, i m just not in the position to play around with my hormones since i already have anxiety and depression issues and middle night insomnia. Thats why i wanted to try topical cuz it minimizes the systemic absorption. The problem with fin is that you might get sides a year into the process of taking it and that usually means it would take you a year to clear the sides. I wouldnt talk much before doing the blood work tho

Do absolutely nothing. Your hair is fine
Drugs are a big decision with potential consequences
Transplants recover lost ground
You don't need either at the moment
This is my wet hair. It can get even worse when its wetter than this. I just lost a perception of what dense hair looks like under these conditions. Im losing my shit lol.

Did you do bloodwork prior to taking fin? Did you do the bloodwork after getting the sides? You know that if you experience sides from fin, it means you were borderline too low or too high with hormones in the most of the cases? If i were you i would do a total testosterone and estradol check using LC MS MS methodology.
How do you feel now? The sides have discontinued?
