Also i would like to mention that i had 0 changes in libido and i know how to keep track of it really well. Zero side effects. But i stopped using dermaroller to reduce the systemic absorption. And i have no scalp irritation from it. It doesnt take long for it to dry on my scalp. Some people may have problems with propylen glycol if they are alergic to it

i have tons of "before" pictures so thats not an issue. Especially the wet hair ones. In 5 months i will take an after picture. I remember shampooing my hair and seeing just tons of hairs. Now thats not really the case. I still see hairs but visually less. Again, this *could* be the fact that i m washing my hair almost every day now, but yesterday i didnt do it for 2 days and i still didnt have much hair in the bathtub. I can tell that it slowed down the shedding. Time will tell, i m looking forward to increasing the girth of my hairs, but my main goal is to stop the hairloss early.
I hold a really good ground with my hair at the moment. I will try boosting alcohol content from 50 to 60 and lower propylen glycol from 30 to 20%. Studies have proven that ethanol is way better for penetrating scalp and its less greasy. At the very least this is helping me reduce dht in scalp by some degree. I know that not a lot of people can afford to risk their hair time for this, so this is why i am doing this. I ll come back in few months and let you guys know whats happening -
I feel like its working, fuck me but i shed way less. Something is indeed happening on my scalp. I m curios if something positively happens to the girth of my hair in 6 months. So far this is great, its not hard to make since i m making 5 dosages in advance and it doesnt really fuck up my hair when i apply it. 1ml every morning.

I regret not doing bloodwork for DHT before starting topical fin. The only thing that stopped me was the fact that every doctor was offering only ECLIA methodology for messuring my hormone levels. You should avoid ECLIA for hormones at all cost since its missleading. I will try to find a lab that does LC/MS MS methodology and do DHT bloodwork and see if i can get anything useful out of that information.
The most important thing about topicals is to find the low enough does that works because having high dosages defeats the purpose. You are better off just swallowing the pill then. Since this drug has diminishing returns, that means even if you managed to absorb 0.2mg, you would get a lot of systemic DHT reduction. If anyone decides to do this, please do the blood work before and after. That info is actually really important for everyone.
Topical fin should 100% work without a doubt, but its just a question if you get the right dose to prevent a lot of systemic absorption -

Good luck man! Stick to it for at least 6months...I’ve recently seen some info from some studies that show topical fin to be better at fighting scalp dht than oral fin.
There is no reason not to believe that it works. I believe that it could be more effective than the oral. The only downside could be that its harder to use. I ll let everyone know whats happening when its relevant. So far i m 2 weeks on it and i could possible be losing less hair. Atleast i ve noticed less hair shed daily. Could be just the fact that i wash my hair daily now, time will tell

1 week, 5mg in total of fin, i can already noticed that shedding has decreased. Something is definitely happening over here. Today i m adding 1ml of castor oil orally as a stimulant. Hope i dont end up shitting myself, will see how my stomach supports it
-
I ve been wondering if you would take fin for few years and decided to stop..would you lose hair rapidly or the same speed you would usually lose hair? I know that thats not the case with minox, where you actually lose everything you ve gained with it.

Wow. I've never heard of anyone making a solution themselves, so props to you. You might be the only one, so I guess you'll be leading the charge in regards to letting folks know if it works or not.
I m not the only one. Kevin Mann from youtube was mixing fin with loreal serioxyl. I m doing the same but i m making the solution myself. There are 5alpha enzimes on your scalp so its very much possible to stop the conversion to DHT on the scalp. I ve seen people using finestiride gel too. I think more people that are not in the emergency hairloss state should give it a try.

Are you making this solution, or are you buying it pre-made?
I am making it myself. It was only tough getting propylen glycol where i live but i got a 1 liter bottle which was an overkill since i use 0.6ml per dose :D. It mixed pretty well and i dont have bad scalp irritation from it. Its not hard doing it, takes 5 minutes. I m wondering if this is going to work doing it every other day. I m still very early in my hairloss so i guess i have a bit more time to experiment with the treatments..Hope this helps me keep my hair on because i d love to have what i have right now for atleast 15 years, but probably even more.

I m making a solution propylen glycol/ethanol/water 30% 50% 20% 2ml with 1.25mg of fin. Doing it every other day and i will move it to every day if i see no results. Already had 4 applications of topical and i have no cosmetic issues with it. I added perfume to give it a nice smell. Anyone here doing the same thing?
I hope this works out well for me. This is my first treatment. If this doesnt work i will move to higher dosages, if that doesnt work i will move to oral. But i have high hopes for this. Also adding castor oil orally because i dont want to get into minoxidil just yet. Castor oil doesnt make you shed a shit ton when you stop using it but its not as good as minox too. Its just for a small boost of hair growth. Stopped dermarolling because i dont want fin to go too much systemic -

I have read the medical literature. The risk of side effects are low. But, you can potentially have permanent damage in your sexual function. Not worth the risk in my opinion.
Consider a rollercoaster. If one out of 1000 people died, would you ride it? Even if 999 had a great time.
Nothing is permanent. By looking at hormone levels you can easily correct it

Shedding on fin usallly means the drug is working. It will replace your hairs with new stronger one. I know its a tough one but what else can you do but stick to fin? As u stated you had no sides so thats good enough. Everyone has that shedding phase...

Dont take oral minox, its a heart medication.

Where would you get topical fin ? Didn't know this was even a thing ?
You dont buy it, you make it. Its not that hard actually. Grind a 1mg tablet good and mix it with propylen glycol and ethanol and water. Or if you are already using topical minoxidi, just mix fin with the minoxidil solution. I would make 1 dose separately each time but you do whats easier for you

And I used to eat McDonald’s french fries all the time yet i’ve lost pretty much all my hair anyway. Now I know it’s not exactly what the study says, but stil.
But to be honest, I highly doubt this will ever turn into a true hair loss treatment for human beings. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Best wishes,
Bill
they literally mentioned in the article that you cant regrow hair by eating a lot of french fries

Please dont use oral minoxidil lol. How did you even come up to that idea? Its a heart medication and it will make you grow hairs on other parts of the body too. Its nothing to play with.
Minoxidil cant work for too long without blocking DHT. If you have no sides with fin just continue using it or make a topical fin -

There is nothing wrong. People think that you should consume a small amout of whey because it is a poweder. I can’t tell you how stupid this statement is.
are there better choices than high amount of whey? Maybe but it a very long topic and it has nothing to do with your problem.
No, i think that you shouldnt consume 150+ grams of whey because its a waste of expensive supplement. I m a big guy and i eat around 180 grams of protein a day. There is no benefits from eating 250 300 grams of protein a day. That might actually increase the risk for prostate cancer as multiple researches imply

Wasting whey? You already showed tou do not anything about protein metabolism.
To correct my diet, you should be a knowledgeable person But, considering how stupid and ignorant was your first sentence (estrogen) and how insignificant your last statement is, please be silent and take care of yourself.
I do give you that for estrogen, it was dumb to say that raising estrogen will raise your T. Even i didnt believe that while typing it because i didnt really want to say that. You should be more respectfull though. You went from 0 to 100 in a second.
There is not much to know if you take 150+ grams of protein from whey. Literally 0 reason to take 150 grams of supplement protein. Just by eating a decent diet, you will get more than enough protein. -

a) higher estrogen doesn't necessarily mean higher test. If you increase test---> higher estrogen. But if you increase estrogen---> lower test.
Whey protein is a food. I take 6/7 scoops/daily with no sides. If you take 6 7 scoops of whey daily , that means your diet is not doing well. Thats way too much protein coming from a supplement only. You are, at best, wasting whey

Bump....
Do a little research for whey protein. Taking more than 2 scoops is unnecessary and wasteful. You will be fine with 1 or 2 scoops a day. High estrogen means higher test too, which means more DHT. Take zinc and vitamin d3 supplement and tou shouldnt worry about the nutrition part. Thats almost irrelevant for the androgenic alopecia most of the times. You either fight the dht or delay it for a year or 2 with minoxidil

BTW your hair transplant was done great. Do you have a post about your hair transplant? Did u try using dermatch for your hairline part?
-
this is far from cure and looks like its barely effective. Spending 2k quid for that, might as well add up some money and do a transplant

a. Consuming around 150-170 gms from whey, eggs, cheese etc. Is it bad? 1gm per pound of bodyweight.
b. How to make sure that it is indeed Telogen effluvium?
He just said that you shouldnt consume more than 60 grams of WHEY protein, not protein in total. I m 6 7 and around 98 kilos, i take from 160 to 180 grams of protein per day. I would avoid cheese and dairy though because of the estrogen in it.

If anyone has any questions, you can ask me. I might make a video about it and how i compound it. You really dont need to be a chemist for this.
