  1. hi there, i tried it after surgery but it was a few months after that. Like Chris said, there are not much details u provide so i cannot jump to conclusions but in a nutshell, try to do without it if possible. You nvr know wat harm it could ve caused. The tightening on the clip and the grafts below need to heal and breathe so i prob will not take the risk.In my case, i wore a few days and chunked it :)

    hope that helps!

  2. hey mates, i just got prescription of oral minox. I just refused to take finasteride now due to the potential side effects. Anyway Dr Pat of Bangkok prescribed that to me, and asked me to take for a few mths before deciding on another round of surgery. Can u guys tell me more abt your experience with oral minox? He claimed that as high as 60% of users experience very positive effects. I am not here to refute his claims but can u guys share your experience? especially those who feel there is no effect and that it has some side effects!

  3. As u can see, i am a patient of Dr Pat and i have nothing but good things to say abt him and his team. Questions were professionally answered and the whole procedure was fast and painless. As for results, i have some issues but thats just me. I am still discussing with the good doc on the next step but basically when there is a controversy, like less than optimal results etc, u can count on him to be there for u!

  4. agreed. I am a bit surprised how come there is only 1 post like this which touch on the various products in the market. With the right products, your hair can transform from a limping thin strand to a thick and luscious one. I strongly feel hair products are as important as having a good HT.

Anyway, i have not tried the keratase capital force but after this aveda runs out, i will prob try it out since u recommended it. How abt bumble and bumble products? Anyone has any comments?

I call out to everyone in the forum who has their own unique comments abt other products so we can tabulate all the results and come up with the a few best ways on styling our hair. This thread will then be listed in the hall of fame :)

  5. i m not that old but i can tell u guys that contrary to what the girls might say, at least in the asian society, its tough to be bald. U can be short ( obviously not midget-y short ) or face pilled with pimples ( which can be more easily fixed than hair loss ) but the worst is to spot that shiny bald head. I rank it as the next worse thing than can happen to us guys. Obviously impotency is the unanimous all time worst event that can strike us.

  6. yup i was hoping Thana can finish off this thread with pics but i guess it nvr happened. Are u serious? If so, then i guess he is a bit petty, but i goto admit this post was phenomenal

Anyway i have used all the products he has recommended. I give thumbs up to the aveda volumizing shampoo, and surprisingly the samy fat hair too. I think maybe i m not that used to the aveda hair potion and dirt ( i might have used too much of it )

    1) Aveda volumizing shampoo - u can literally feel it. The hair is coarser and harder which i like. However like i said before, the conditioner i do not think there is anything special abt it. Works like any other conditioner

    2) Samy fat hair '0' calories thickening creme - its a cheap product and David got me a good deal at buy 1 get 1 free. It feels like the gatsby clay i am using, albeit less build up and more manageable as it does not excessively stiffen out your strands. I would highly recommend it for a do-it-all volumizer. In fact, i think there is no need to blow dry, the effect is better that way.

    3) Aveda hair potion - like Thana mentioned, its like salt particles but it just dissolves in your hands. Mock up your hair style with your hands and the product seamlessly gets onto the hair. It depends on your preference. I feel it does not volumize the strands more than the samy, but it defn feels much lighter. Hence if u cannot stand that feeling of having clay products on your hair, i will highly recommend this. It does achieve the layering and volumizing effect but at a high price :) The container is really small and its the most expensive product compared to the rest

    4) FX texture dirt- managed to lay my hands on this supposedly miraculous product. din get the original jonathan's but i guess ( or so i hoped ) it works the same way. Well, i think it works just like any other clay product and in fact, i find it more sticky compared to the samy. Maybe i used too much, i prob need more time getting used to it but i cant be wrong abt the stickiness. But make no mistake, the volumizing effect is guaranteed. However, the claim by the manufacturer - feels like the day after washing...i do not concur, more like the day before washing :)

Ok i m done commenting. I might be wrong as i just got the products a few days back but i have been diligently testing them out. Prob i will give myself more time to get used to the dirt :)

I will post photos on the before and after looks after using the above mentioned products

    ciao for now!

  7. i also use nanogen thickening conditioner but i did not find it particularly volumizing. I am using Aveda products now and i simply love the volumizing shampoo! I am getting the hair potion and FX texture dirt next week and i will post my experience with these 2 recommended products!

Anyway my regime nowadays consist of Rogaine foam after wash, let it dry and add some Gatsby clay or moving rubber for further volumizing before sprinkling on nanofibres with the aveda volumizing spray as finisher!

  8. my friend, like the others have said, u have a long long way to go. However, i also hope that u prepare for the worst. I was like u, full of hopes and dreams, but i began to realize that i m not gonna head for a wow result as time flies. There is a whole myriad of reasons behind and nobody can tell me for sure 100% what has happened but things just happened. I am very positive u will end up with great results but i just hope u prep yourself as well in case things do not happen your way. If not, u will feel v v terrible

  9. Fritz, after considering for some time, i believe i will not chase HL anymore... at least for these couple years. I am at a point whereby concealers can work their magic, plus some hair products... i can pull it off so i will just reserve my donor for utilisation in the future! Like u said, i am not expecting for much more. just another 20% new growth+ thickening... i will be satisfied. i know i m not headed for a wow result, guess i goto suck it up and live with it. nothing much i can do now anyway!

  10. hi guys, anyone of u has tried the spray concealers? brands like fullmore ( from toppik ) , haircubed etc.. whats the diff between these and sprinkle on?

Also, i have been trying to bring fullmore spray concealers to our shores for my own usage but apparently aerosol products cannot be shipped...except main US addresses and Canada

    comments guys?

  11. fritz. actually i do not think that was a really big patch. Bear in mind that i had native hair to start with so ideally if all the grafts have grown, i goto admit i should better than wat i am looking right now

Nevetheless i will wait for 18mths to come before i make a final conclusion. Yup Dr Pat did suggest a second pass but like i posted in the other thread, i am sort of in a dilemma. There is defn growth but its not at the pt whereby i am satisfied, but i have enough now to put on some hair products and look fairly good. Its tough to decide, which is why i hope i just have another, say 20% of thickening + growth and i should be able to move on and save my donor till i m older :)

    wats ur call?

  12. I was sceptical at first as i had a friend who had gone for a HT before me and he was complaining how painful it was ( albeit a different doc). I was so so wrong. The shots were the worst it can get, and the surgery was just nearly painless. The pain started to creep in on the first night but nothing that unbearable. After that, everything was smooth sailing

    hope that helps!

  13. hey fritz sorry for the late reply. In fact i do see several v thin and translucent hairs growing. I saw that during the detailed check at the clinic a couple months back as well. I really hope that i am just a slow grower. Pardon me for not updating the pics as they look quite bad now and i dun want to create unnecessary friction between me and my doc as i promised to wait till at least 1 year ( he said probably 18 months to see the full results ). I will defn post pics at the end of the journey

Hows it so far for u?

  14. Hair there, oh i din know that happened to u mate, thats rough... But my point is, i think its unwise to harbour that thought of suing the doc's pants off should the operation goes awry even before he goes under the knife. That mentality is crooked. He should probably focus on getting back his hair than anything else. Anyway i am done replying to this thread. Its getting nonsensical
