Looks amazing, pleased for you. I bet the people who continue to slate the clinic stay quiet about this result!

If OP has any questions based on my own personal experience feel free to message me.

Cheers Melvin, I forgot to take a photo of the donor grown out slightly prior to show it with the hair slightly longer then usual. I’ll try and get one next time.
Ok thanks, I’ll go in lower and maybe use a 4 guard depending how long the lockdown continues in the UK. -
Thanks for the tips @Melvin-Moderator
I tried doing a DIY skin fade today but went too high and short with the back. The sides look ok. Meant to be zero to a 3 guard.

Hey bro, interested to know your hair caliber (in micron) from the rear section of the donor? I saw it was 55 on the side, but what about at the back? Cheers
Hey mate, I’m pretty sure it’s 55. I remember the doctor checking the back and then he said 55. It’s come through thicker then what I thought it would to be fair

Posts like these aren’t as popular, because they dash some folks dreams. At the same time, when unknowing patients come here upset posting photos with wet and damp hair, and their hairline spread apart, it’s because no one told them the truth or the reality.
Hair transplantation has changed my life, and every day I’m grateful to my surgeon, but I would be fooling everyone if I said it was perfect. We should never chase perfection with surgery, the goal should always be to gain a cosmetic improvement, not perfection.
Great advice. Hair transplantation has changed my life for the better too, the best thing I’ve ever done. As much as I’m really happy with my result, it’s not perfect and in different lighting conditions can look stronger and weaker.

I usually agree with you, nit this time. the hairline design is below average and the transition zone lacks of density
I disagree hairline isn’t too low or high in my opinion

Hey bro, interested to know the height of the hairline above eyebrows?
I’m not actually sure mate, if I find out I’ll let you know.

Huge cosmetic difference.. Some people will envy this result.
But to keep this forum fair and not misleading as it will cost a patient 8.5k to have 5000 graft fue procedure i must ask.
Are you taking pictures with hair fibres?
Are you restricted to one hair style?
Does your donor feel depleted?
Are you on fin?
I ask these questions as i've seen many complaints about this doctor about lack of density, hair design, angulation of hair grafts, technicians being too young and unskilled the list goes on....
You look really happy. When a patient has a smile on his face the clinic has done it's job.
Thank you even from the side, it’s made a big difference (attached) The procedure cost £10,500 but the best money I’ve spent.
Ever since I changed the style to be pushed back I stopped using hair fibres (around month 8 ) I found they wasn’t really adding much and if anything making the appearance look unnatural.
I have different options now with regards to hairstyle having the hair up or having the hair pushed down or to the side.
I did upload a few photos of my donor and doesn’t look or feel depleted to me. Yes I’m on finasteride too.
I can only speak from my own personal experience but the clinic were brilliant with me from the moment I arrived in Turkey. So glad I choose to get my hair transplant with them.

What a fantastic life-changing result buddy, happy for you and congrats!
Can’t believe it’s been 12 months for you, seems like yesterday you started this thread, crazy how time flys!
Thanks Cosmo, really appreciated all your feedback and the informative posts.
The first 5 months dragged like hell for me but the last 7 months have flown by.
Certainly life changing in many aspects 😊 -

Enough about the hair, your clothing game is on point too.
Seriously, fantabulous result and an important part of that is the untouched looking donor.
😂😂 Cheers mate, put it this way I would have never worn these white jeans with my old hairline 😂🙈 Just never had the self confidence back then.
Even one guy at work today outside asked why there was no scarring at the back 😊Thanks for your feedback over the past year

Bloody hell what a freakin result! I’m happy for you man! This is what a 90%+ yield looks like at asmed. I hope to get to where you’re at soon to be able to style my hair freely back like that.
Cheers Sam, I appreciate it. So happy too 😊 How many months are you in? I’ll keep an eye out for you progress. Good luck

Great result. Donor in the 4th picture down is looking impressive considering the amount of grafts taken. Quite surprised it looks so good with the hair that short at the back . What guard was used?
Think something may have possibly changed in recent years at ASMED with regards to the punch used? Seen a couple of instances of guys who've had procedures at ASMED say around 2015 and before shaving down and scarring was much more noticeable. In more recent cases, the donor areas are looking pretty impressive when shaved down/trimmed very short when it comes to scars.
Thanks Fozzie, I get a high skin fade so most of the back and sides is a zero guard going into a 0.5 or 1 at the top.

So many people talk negatively about ASMED, but results like yours never get talked about. One of the best on the site no doubt.
Cheers Melvin, I’ve come close a couple of times over the past year to defending the clinic but sometimes it’s not worth the aggro.

12 Month Result
Here is my 12 month result. I’ve attached a couple of comparison photos. The first being more or less 12 months difference in the same bathroom, under the same lighting with no product in my hair. Having a hair transplant has made a huge difference to my life, from walking down the high street and never having to worry about the wind ruining my hair and exposing my badly receded hairline, to having a hell of a lot more confidence in all aspects of life.
Honestly the best money I’ve ever spent and actually nice to have options for various hairstyles.
For my first transplant I don’t think I could have wished for any more to be fair and actually exceeded my expectations.
Thank you everyone for you advice and feedback whether positive or negative, and without this forum there would have be no way I would have travelled outside the UK.
I need to thank Suzana from Asmed who has always been in contact over this past year.

Countdown to my HT

It’s the first time I’ve ever come across your thread but the hair looks brilliant. I think some of the criticism/negativity they receive is unfair. We had more or less the same amount of grafts transplanted and I’m really happy with my results. Did you notice much improvement from 12-18 months? I know it’s probably hard to try and gauge at that point.
