  1. 18 Month Final Result

As I’ve just reached my final result and this will probably be one of my last posts for now for my hair transplant journey, I thought I would do something a little different and put a short video together to show my result.

Thanks again to all the people who gave feedback on my thread, HRN and @Melvin-Moderator for helping me along the way.
Has been a truly life changing experience and couldn’t be happier. I wouldn’t change a thing and so happy I choose Asmed.

Cheers for your reply mate. I guess if your head is fully protected I can’t really see it being a issue.
dunno where I’ll get a bandana in the UK though !! 😂

I’m from the UK and ordered mine on Amazon. Your probably find you can’t actually do that many mins as the bandana/cap used to leave a tan line across my forehead.

Just one other thing if you don’t mind answering for me???

How long after my HT is it advised when I can start using a sun bed again (fast tan stand up)

    TIA

My clinic instructed 6 months for both sun or sunbed but every clinic post op instructions vary. The only instruction I didn’t follow to the letter was the sun bed. I think I waited between 8 or 12 weeks before having a stand up again but I always wore a bandana with a cap over the top to protect my scalp and had less minutes too.

Your results are incredible, just looking at your pics you can see the amazing difference in you.

    Thanks Kruchie, appreciate the compliment.
Without doubt the single best thing I’ve ever done by far. I feel the difference within myself too and has improved so many different aspects of my life. I still smile everyday straight after styling my hair when I see it in the mirror.
I had a photo today outside at the funfair and shows the hairline at a very short distance.

Just wanted to say thanks to you I went to ASMED as well due to posts like yours. Cheers on your new hair man!

No worries your welcome. I’m sure your end up just as happy as me. Good luck and I’ll keep an eye out on your progress.

Just seen your thread and works looks super clean. I’ve got a feeling your end up very happy, like the temple work too.

Hey bro, interested to know which styling products you are using? What about shampoo and conditioner?

Sorry I’ve only replied, I haven’t been using this forum much at all recently. I only use a sebamed shampoo which the clinic gave me to begin with and it’s not expensive either. I’ve stuck with that ever since.
Regarding styling I don’t use anything fancy at all. I use a cheap tub of wax which I get from my barbers. It’s wax but also has a slight wet feel/look to it.

For me styling my hair doesn’t take long at all and it looks better depending how good I blow dry and brush my hair backwards. I’ll brush and use the hair dryer at the same time to follow through where I’m brushing and then literally apply some wax to slick back and hairspray. I always use my bigger brush first while my hair is wet then use the smaller brush once my hair is dry.
I’ve attached my products and this is my hair after a recent haircut as it got pretty long on time. I find the current length makes it easier for me to style too.
    Hope this helps.

I legit gained 5-10 lbs of water weight since starting creatine a month or two ago, but I'm vegan so I don't get any through diet. It's actually shown to improve cognitive function in vegetarians.

I don't think there's enough evidence to prove that it causes hair loss. I wouldn't worry about it especially if you're taking a DHT inhibitor.

Thank you mate, appreciate your feedback. I‘m going to give it a go and if I notice any shedding I’ll stop instantly.

Yea, gyms just recently opened three weeks ago, prior to that though I didn’t lift for months. Thanks for the motivation though bro 💪🏼 Hair is looking awesome as well.

Won’t take you long to get back where you was Melvin. You always look bulky in the videos, arms especially! Thanks I’ll post an update soon but not much has changed really since the last few updates 😊

Looking jacked bro 😳 good stuff man, how’d you manage in this quarantine?

    Thanks man.
I was working from home and really struggled at first. But as soon as I went on furlough I was loving it. I started buying and selling Carrera push bikes and made a killing. It has kept me busy and can potentially earn more money in an hour then sitting at my desk for the whole week. That’s partly why I’ve hardly been using this forum where I haven’t had time. Our barbers opened nearly a week ago so that’s nice too but got to wait another 2 weeks for gym to reopen yet.
How’s it been for you? Didn’t the easing of restrictions happen quiet early compared to the UK?

I think you’ll be fine, but just monitor the shedding. Also, check for gains. When I was on it, the gains were minimal and not worth the risk.

    Thanks @Melvin-Moderator

I’ll use the tub and see what happens. I know already if I notice any kind of shedding I’ll stop instantly but as you say if the gains are minimal I won’t keep taking it anyway. I’m happy where I’m at but you know what it’s like always wanting to push that bit more.

This was around 15months under the sun light but a dodgy lockdown haircut!

I brought some creatine this morning and this will be the first time I use it. I’ve seen in your video you don’t advice to take it.
Do you think someone would be ok to take it if on fin?
I would like to try it but at the same time my hair is more important to me and wouldn’t want to jeopardise how far I’ve come with my hair.
If any other guys have experience with creatine then please chip in.

Mate, I've just recently posted my results from asmed also, not quite as spectacular as yours but in general I'm happy.

Your new barnet looks the absolute business. Just a general question, I've tried to contact my asmed patient coordinator Sema but seems she no longer works there.

Where do you get you finistride from? They had a big problem with generic when I was at asmed. Effectively said it's next to useless. It's ridiculously expensive in the UK to buy proscar that they provide you with for a year but I've ran out, still got some generic from assured pharmacy who seem legit. Just wondering mate.

    Looking top drawer btw.

Oh cool, I take a look at your thread now. It’s good you’re happy. I think sometimes a lot of the happy Asmed patients just get overlooked on here recently.
Thank you mate, I’m over the moon with it. Oh really my coordinator was Suzanna and we’re still in contact. I wonder if you could switch to her as she is brilliant.
So just my personal preference but I use Finasteride 1mg daily and kept the clinics supply of Proscar for back up. I order it from Lloyd’s pharmacy online usually but for my next order I think I may use Dr Fox as I see they’re charging around £70 for 6 months I think. Lloyd’s is around £130/£140 so will deffo research next time and order from the most reputable cheapest place.
And thank you again, I’ve said many times before but the hair transplant has been the best thing I’ve ever done.

Your results look great by the way from the photos you’ve posted. Your hair loss doesn’t look that apparent but you can see how much your hairline has been lowered and looks natural and thick.

I have noticed that some members of this community continually denigrate our forum, and while they benefit from our community, they undermine our ethics and integrity whenever they can. In fact, I have had some members request to delete their topics, because of this negativity. These new members are now questioning our integrity and our ethics.

I'm no longer going to tolerate this behavior. I would like to set the record straight. Firstly, since this pandemic our sponsorships have fallen by more than half, while our costs of running this community remain the same. We've made personal sacrifices to keep this community alive, and to keep promoting surgeons we feel our worthy of our recommendations. Now, not everyone will agree with our recommendations and that's fine, we are proponents of free-speech, and even though some may disagree with our recommendations, we allow everyone the opportunity to voice their opinions, good or bad.

I would also like to set the record straight personally, I work a full-time job, and the work I do here is a fraction of my income. Since this pandemic, I'm working at a fraction of the fraction, to keep this community alive and thriving. I do not live in a mansion, I don't own a yacht, i'm a regular guy, who benefited from this community, and truly want to give back to the community that gave me so much. I take these gibes personal. In short, those of you who truly feel that we don't have any ethical integrity, I'm opening the door for you to leave our community.  I will no longer tolerate denigration of this community that I work hard to preserve and upkeep on my free time.

    How Physicians Are Chosen

Keep doing what you do Melvin, you do a fantastic job with the forum and play a major part in making it what it is. I think the vast majority of members would agree too. You’ve always given me honest and great advice.

This looks amazing to me.  I wish mine was at least like this.  Looks natural.  Even outside still looks natural.  Nice look overall.

Thanks man, all three are outside but the first 2 are under direct sun light. Not one person has ever suspected I’ve had a transplant who didn’t know me before.

    14 months

I’m at 14 months now but really hard to notice any progress since the last update, so I’ve just attached one before and after photo. The before photo was my hair looking at its best prior to my transplant with me disguising my hair loss as best I could. Sometimes we have to look back to realise and appreciate how a single hair transplant can have such a positive impact on your life.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention earlier but not bad for a downhill overpriced hairmill clinic. So grateful I choose these guys.

That's truly motivational and inspirational mate, WOW i'm at a loss for words

Haha no worries Melvin. At 14 months I’m coming towards the end of my journey for my first transplant but I would like to thank you for all the effort and hard work you put into this forum. I said recently, but if it wasn’t for this forum there’s no way I would have been this happy or got this result even, as I would have got a hair transplant closer to home where the standards are less high.
