Difficult to tell because of photo quality but it doesn't look like they really put many grafts in there. I see very few and very spread out. Doesn't look like much was done.
I'm gonna prob get another transplant by the 6-8 month mark if this doesn't improve

Thanks for sharing their name. Perhaps providing pictures, graft counts etc. may help too but and i don't want to lie to you, this generally isn't what you would expect on average to see at 5 months BUT it also doesn't mean a clear failure.
The picture you posted isn't the highest detail so it's hard to see if you zoomed in whether we'd see new hairs slowly starting to sprout. Just bear in mind, that it could take longer for these to not only grow, but start to thicken and mature. So instead of just focusing on it right now, imagine there's 7+ months of progress left to see how things shake out.
I forgot how many grafts they put in but this is a couple days after the procedure

I would definitely say that doesn’t look good for 5 months at all BUT do you mind sharing more photos of before the hair transplant, post op and then also the progress over the last 4 months.
If you are willing to, also name the clinic to help others researching. It's not necessarily that you have had a bad result yet but you may need to be really patient.
Natural hair transplants is the clinic its located in Maryland there's barley any progress growing very slow looks like a few wispy hairs in the front

An example of how impactful even a subtle transformation can be. His hairline looked similar to mine before my procedure, and I know just how meaningful it’s been for me to have my hairline restored to what it is now. The amount of stress that subsided once I was able to style my hair without trying to conceal the recession in my hairline was incredible and worth every penny. Great work.
Thats really great work would you say this guy is a noorwood 2.5?

I honestly have no idea why you've been signed up on the forum for two years now lol. You don't have any visible hair loss. Your hairline looks slightly matured. Nothing concerning at your age. I don't see any diffuse loss.
I'm 25 now hopefully I don't ever become a noorwood 6 or 7 lol most people who are gonna be a 6 or 7 i think will have pretty noticble hairloss at my age but there's exceptions

2ish.
I've always liked that V-shape kind of hairline. He looks better when it's buzzed short though IMO, when he's grown it out it kind of makes him look old.
He looks very good buzzed imo. Yea id say a 2 or 2.25

In my personal opinion, your hair looks great. You’re definitely a candidate, I don’t think you need a hair transplant, but then again who does. For your level of hair loss I would stick with FUE.
I would be happy if my hair stayed simliar to his for life. Would you say hes a noorwood 2 or noorwood 3?

When out in public, take inventory of the men over 50 and take note how many are affected by MPB...you will be shocked....😬
Of course you will have to wait until the Virus calms down....😯
Would you consider it mpb if the guy only has slight crown thinning and a noorwood 2.5 at age 60?

Well,
The answer is: Your age roughly parallels the percentage of people who have significant male pattern baldness.
At age 50, half of men have significant baldness. Maybe you'll be very lucky and be the 1 out 5 guys that still has his hair at 80, or maybe you'll be very unlucky and die young, but the most likely scenario is that you (and everyone here) will be old with only transplant hairs left. In light of that possibility, I think planning the frontal hairline should be done very carefully.
I accept VenMo.
I would say maybe half of men have very noticible hairloss at age 50 depending on ethnic background. But at age 50 85 percent or so men have some form of hairloss.

I’ve posted pictures of my brother and father, 43 and 63 respectively, and both have more hair than me currently, even after I’ve had three hair transplants.
How was your grandparents hair?

My hair loss comes from the maternal side...my father never had MPB...he passed away just last October at the age of 89 and although he did experience significant overall generalized thinning throughout his scalp, he never lost his hairline.
So as Laser pointed out, you would not want to lower the hairline but having grafts added in a transitionary design should still leave a more natural look even though the entire area may thin.
You mean he had thinning all over the scalp even back and sides or just the top was thinner?

At what age is your hairloss pattern mostly set in for most guys from the people you see in your office? Even though hairloss is progressive overtime. I see many people whos hairloss starts later in life in their 40s. Its mostly mild loss for them except for some people.
-
Yup hairloss can be unpredictable. But ones who start losing hair later tend to keep more hair but not in all cases. Yea they seemed to have hair in their 50s even though it was thinning. Idk how the back of his head looked though.

This is them now they are def mild balding/receding but yes they both have hair still
-
Most men will have hairloss some sort of mpb if they live old enough. Wether that be a noorwood 3 or noorwood 7 depends on genetics some lucky ones have noorwood 1s until old age. But yes steriods will speed up your gebetics balding pattern.

Yea, I mean make sure it’s slowed down enough, so that you don’t end up looking then same or worse. Hair loss in the beginning can be very aggressive and rapid, I lost most of my hair from age 26-29. As long as you’ve noticed your hair loss level out you should be okay.
Isnt your brother a noorwood 2 with slight receding and no thinning?
