  1. Hi guys! I have read multiple times that people with DHT will lose their hairs no matter what and there is no magic when it comes to Shampoo including Nizoral etc However, I am using H&S for many years (Daily basis), and I am thinking to change it to something else, any shampoo would you recommend that is not harsh for your hair and won't make it too dry\thin? Thanks in advance!!
  2. Thanks guys for the reply! I am still not 4 months and to be honest it's already pretty dense, that's why I asked because a month ago I saw tons of tiny tiny colorless hairs, now I don't see any so I thought maybe nothing not supposed to come from now beside the hair getting thicker. Glad to hear that more hairs supposed to come, thank you!
  3. I know it takes about 12 months to see full results, however does new hairs comes after month 4? It seems that each day it looks better and better (Because the hair maturing and getting thicker), But I am wondering if new hairs supposed to pop out at this stage?
  4. Hey man, looks great! What about the shockloss? Does it recovered?
  5. Your results are great and much more to come, happy for you! Does the shockloss in your right side healed?
  6. Wow man it looks amazing and just six months has passed since your surgery, I see what your talking about the middle of your hairline I am sure it will get better in the next 2-3 months, are do you see some thin hairs popping out that area or not at all? By the way, do you know how many square centimeters you covered in your surgery and what was the grafts\cm2? Thanks!
  7. Two months and already see some hairs? Those results are going to be amazing! It looks in your pictures that the scar can be little in specific areas, what is the length of your hair? thanks!
  8. THANK YOU!! Really detailed response, thank you so much. I will bring Neck pillow, about the hair piece, I will wait 2 weeks before attaching it again (Not on the recipe area). What did you mean by any tape removed from the piece? Currently I am wearing the piece and I am coming to US 5 days before my surgery to remove it (My recipe area will be clean and healthy). Yes, I am on a particular diet, I already ensured that in my hotel room there will be kitchen with everything, I will cook meals before in case I won't be able to after the surgery for the next few days. How about the Pills that I have to take post op? Does the doctor is going to give them to me or I have to go somewhere locally and purchase them? I have also read that people are putting Witch Hazel or Aloe vera, I will bring that also again, thank you sir.
  9. Hey guys! I am having my surgery at the beginning of November with Doctor Konior (VERY EXCITED) I am not from USA and the flight will be long (12 hours), I want to come ready and whatever I can bring from home that will help me would be better. Is there anything you suggest that I should bring from home that I am not getting from the Doctor? Like specific cream\specific clothing (I read somewhere that it's better to come with button shirt for the surgery day). I am wearing hair piece and we are going to transplant in the front only so I will have to remove the hair piece during that time and I rather not be seen in the public for the next 2 weeks until I attach it again (Behind the hairline of course so it won't touch the grafts). So anything you can recommend me to bring from home, I will appreciate that so much, again thank you!!!
  10. Can't stop following this thread, my surgery is in 2 months with Doctor Konior, I can't wait... That part is just an inch? It looked like 2 inches to me :O
  11. Haha thank you! I done few years of research and I am glad I did, I am also very lucky for doing the surgery with my best friend, I believe that it would help during the healing process and the first couple of months when you are just waiting to see the first hair comes out
  12. Man, first of all thank you so much for your detailed information, I have my surgery with Doctor konior in 3 months, I am going to have the surgery with my best friend who is doing it a day after me, very excited. No doubt that your results will be amazing, I wish you all the best and will follow your thread!
  13. Oh man it looks amazing! I am sure it's going to be amazing in two months, I already can't wait for my surgery with Dr.konior :DDD
  14. Hey man! so sorry on late respond for some reason I haven't received a notification, I'm planning to have between 1,500-2,000 grafts at the very front. I just saw your last post 16 days post op, man, that's amazing, such a thin scar I'm sure it's going to be pretty much invisible. Any reason why you stayed in Chicago for 8 days? This was doctor konior recommendation? And one last thing, how long does it takes to take off the sutures? The reason I ask is because I'm planning to stay for 2 weeks and rather have it done by Doctor konior it self but not sure if it's acceptable or not to ask haha
  15. Hey man, congrats on your produce, mine will be on Oct with Dr.konior My donor is also pretty weak and his the only doctor I felt confidence to go with, your work look so clean, I'm sure you will be happy with your results. Do you know how thick and wide he did your scar? It seems like this scar is going to be invisible, it also seems it doesn't even get close to your ear so I assume it's less than 20 cm length? And one last question, did he notice retrograde alopecia in your hair? It seems like your losing some hair in your nape area or it's just the picture?
  16. Hey guys, I see many people after they had successful HT, they still have some pinkish color in the recipient area even after 12months + I know there's should be some reddness in the first months, but does it ever disappear completely? Here's an example of what i'm talking about : https://www.chicagohairinstitute.com/photogallery/hair-loss-surgery-6206/2635-high-density-frontal-restoration-40877 The results are amazing and this is top doc in my opinion, however, if you look in the very front of the hairline, it looks slighty red\purple color, I wonder if that's because of the picture or because of the high quality camera and if it doesn't look like that in real life. Thank you!
  17. Thank you so much all for your fast responds and pictures, I appreciate that. The reason I asked this is because when I was a teen (With a full head of hair), my natural hairline couldn't be styled that way because the hair was growing the way up, so no matter what, it would look very poofy and couldn't touch my forehead because of my natural hair direction. So I'm thinking, maybe I should let the surgeon know first the way I want to style my hair so he will know in advance not to implant the grafts in a way that won't be able to style it forward? And yes, I do rather brushed back style of course but i'm thinking in the worst case, what if I won't be 100% confidence with the results, what if my skin will stay pink\the hairline won't be dense enough etc so if I style it forward i will be able to make it look more dense and will be able to cover anything that would concern me.
  18. Hey guys, It seems that all the pictures I see are always with brushed back style, and if they style it forward it just looks slighty "puffy" or not too flat in their forehead. I suppose it has a lot to do with the hair direction the surgen implant the grafts, but just wonder, would it be to wear the hair like that : Thanks!!
  19. Thanks a lot guys for all your replies, As I have mentioned, yes, I will commitment to wear the hair system for the entire life, I do it for so many years and can't live a single day without it. Scars are not an issue, actually, even if the surgery "fails" that's not an issue for me, beside losing hope and money, it won't have any effect about my daily life, after all, I have something that cover any kind of scar or whatever. I'm just trying to think logical, a person who's norwood 7 usually lose hair also at their sides\back, especially nape area, temples and sideburn. It's actually very common even to lose in the "Heart" of the donor which is the top back of the head which counts "permanent hair " although it's not always permanent, especially for norwood 7 patients. Since it has been about 22 years since I became norwood 7, and I left with less hair in sides and back (Nape is gone completely), those hairs that still remainning and didn't shed for over 15 years (Beside their natural cycle), I don't see how those are not counts as "permanents" grafts, or why I won't be a candidate for Hair transplant when I don't mind at all to be left with scarring. Your opinions is truly important for me, I have been following this forum for few years already, I can understand why most of you wouldn't recommend it but if you think this way, that I will never giveup on wearing the hair system and I don't mind about scarring so the only last reason is, does my grafts are permanent and that's something I'm not sure how could be possible to know under magnification when you can already see it's not "Thick" donor, however I know, the hairs that remains are 100% permanents, my pattern is exactly like my whole family, six brothers who looks like gargamel with thinner sides and back though, but all of them still have hair if we count together could reach to atleast 5k grafts and 5 thousands tiny scars exchange
  20. @Spanker - Thanks for your respond, however, why would that be a challenge? If I'm hiding those area for many years and not going to stop, so scars are not an issue for me at all/ @Melvin-HTsoon - Hi Melvin, thank you for your detailed respond, when you wrote : " However, doing this could cause several problems down the line, for example a thin depleted unnatural donor. Additionally, the scarring that could occur could potentially ruin the scalp for any further surgeries down the line." That's exactly what i'm looking for, I'm looking to "Ruin" my donor area, have tons of scars, since again, i'm wearing a full cap wig which is covering all those areas, but to make the fullcap wig more natural I need to have real hairs in my edges which are like the pictures I posted. I also understand that it's concering that my donor thinned during those years, but I know this is not DUPA, it's just regular retrograde alopecia, just like my whole family, even the oldest, all of them have hair at the back of the hair and sides, however you can clearly see they lost around 40-50% out of it during the years. We are all norwood 7 and our pattern is the same (I'm the youngest), basically lost 90% of the nap area\ side burn\ temple points went like 1 CM back, but there's still remaining hairs and if you take all of them out you can easily get 5K, but again, that means you will be left with no hair at all and many scars, which again, doesn't bother for me at all. If I haven't lost a single hair at my sides and back in the last 20 years after I already became norwood 7 and my sides and back became with less hairs. does those hairs are not count permanent after all? Thanks!
  21. Hi guys, I'm wearing a full cap wig for over 12 years (That's just like an hair system, however, it's also for sides and back and not just the top of the head). I started to lose my hair since I was 16, unfortunately when I was 24 I was already norwood 7. As you probably know, most men who end up norwood 7 also lose their nape area and also their sides look quiet thin since they lose hair there also. I'm considering to have an hair transplant for over 3 years already to fill the edges of my toupee : (The first 1 CM of my hairline, temple points, side burn and nape area) You can check this picture so you can have an idea of what I'm looking for including the hairline : https://imgur.com/a/7cfKhlU https://imgur.com/a/WCcio1D Final results : https://imgur.com/a/A875quR My question is basically, would it be possible to transfer via FUE in one produce 3,000 grafts from my sides and back (There's no way to harvest those grafts without making my donor look thin because it's already thin, I do know that if I take the entire hair I have on my sides and back could reach to around 5k at most and that's if I don't keep a single hair and willing to live with thousands tiny scars). So Yes, I don't mind about any scar, this area is covered for many years and will continue to be covered, I just want to build a real hairline, temple points and nape area just like the links I posted. at Very important to note, all the hairs I have in my sides and back are permanent and are not going to shed, the only thing I want to do is to transfer those hairs to the area I noted. So please let me know if this is achieve able if I'm willing to give up on my hairs in my sides and back and live with those scars. Thank you so much!!!
