  1. Honestly you look really good. If I saw you walking down the street I would assume you’ve never suffered from hair loss in the first place! id you did want to address the corners how many grafts do you have left in your donor?
  2. Yep! this is day 5. My last day at the hotel. Hoping I am one of the lucky ones that DOESN’t experience a shed but I think I am mentally prepared for it. Im hoping I can work from home for the next 2-3 months but we will see. May have a work conference that I may be forced to go to around the 1-2 month mark and may need recommendations from this community on how to cover up the ugly duckling phase as best as possible
  3. I sent a message through the website which then directed me toward Dr Konior's email. We exchanged emails between December of 2021 to February 2022. In February of 2022, I paid my initial deposit and he gave me my surgical date in September 2023. There was a cancelation and the front desk contacted me a few months after my initial deposit for an opening but I wanted to stick with the original date of September 2023 for work purposes. Just came back from a 5 day check up and everything looks spot on. Nothing new to report just less redness and some small scabs forming. I touched base with the lovely technicians and will be coming back on Day 8 for a final check up with the clinic. Will try and invest into a between quality camera to upload more progress pictures during the ugly duckling phase and the growth phase.
  4. I should of booked that! The total graft count wasn't given to me but I'm assuming it's around 1000-1200. I will ask him at my 7 day follow up!
  5. Hello everyone, As of today, I have now finally completed my first hair transplant with Dr. Konior. It has been a LONG journey. I started balding at the age of 20/21 and THANKFULLY jumped on medication (finastiride/Minoxidil/Dutastiride) at a very early age (21/22). Losing my hair at such a young age was difficult and always wanted a hairline to style my hair a certain way/cover up my temples. I have been part of this community for 7 years now and finally took the plunge. One thing that I want to say is that medication has really stabilized my hair loss and prevented any Th reasons as to why I selected Konior was: 1.) His reputation on this forum and level of results 2.) His hairline design 3.) Very similar cases shown on this forum (which I will link below): Day of the surgery: I arrived at the office at 6:30, and was met by the lovely Karen. All of his staff are welcoming, funny, and just make you feel at home. It's relaxed, but extremely professional. People always talk about what a great team they all are, and that's the absolutely truth. Lisa and Anya were absolutely incredible and made me feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the entire procedure. Dr K spent the first portion of the day discussing my goals and answered any questions I had in GREAT detail. The biggest questions and concerns I had were in regards to angulation of grafts at the hairline and he answered them in GREAT detail and calmed my concerns. Turns out Dr. Konior have a lot of childhood similarities: both grew up in the same neighborhood, went to neighboring grade schools, and went to the same university (small world)! Surgery was a breeze only pain I had was in my left shoulder as I was lying down on my shoulder when grafts were being extracted but everything else was painless to me. One thing to note is that I would NOT recommend booking the Marriott Hotel in Oak Brook as the windows are not sound proof and next to an expressway. Sleeping has been an issue but thankfully will be returning home shortly. Below are the attached photos (pre surgery/drawn hairline/post op): I will be updating the thread regularly and maybe even visit Dr. Konior at the 1 year mark to get the final results posted in the highest quality images!
  6. Thank you Melvin! I appreciate the response. Just worried and hoping that everything with OP is going perfect!
  7. Yes an update from the surgeon or maybe the patient? Anyway to send an email to him?
  8. @Melvin- Moderator Anyway to contact OP via email or even the doctor for a statement?
  9. What other further changes have been made so this doesn't happen again? And what mistakes have led to this patient having 95% multi hair grafts at the hairline? You mentioned the change of the use of implanter pens but what else caused this patient to have 95% multi's at the hairline and what specific changes have been made to avoid this happening again?
  10. Yep I seen it but wanted to see how it can be fixed? I just want the patient here to have a successful result and make sure he'll get accommodated.
  11. Any comment on the red scalp/infected scalp? What caused this and how can you fix this for this patient?
  12. You are correct but just trying to uphold the standard of this community. I don't want patients to have any bad results! There have been quite too many bad results coming from multiple surgeons and it's alarming. I actually am having an upcoming surgery with a recommended surgeon on this forum and wouldn't want discouraging results on my thread as well. I apologize OP.
  13. I appreciate the response but after your change at the beginning of the year why has this error popped up again? What additional measures are you going to do to avoid having this issue occur in the future? Having admitted to having this issue been constantly pop up in your practice do you still think your work deserves to be on the recommended list of surgeons? Also can you add any insight on the damaged/infected/red scalp skin? His scalp seemed to be perfect before surgery but after 11 isn't it concerning that it's still infected? I appreciate and value how you will be standing by your work and the patient offering a solution. That is admirable! Thank yoU!
  14. Prayers going your way but I just don't understand how a surgeon can blindly implant hairs in rows into areas with existing hair follicles. It seems like like it would effectively impact the existing hair. I remember listening to surgeons talking about this on podcasts with Melvin and needing to strategically placed between existing hair follicles.
  15. How on earth was 5000 grafts a viable solution here? There's a big possibility that the grafts transected the existing hairs. Considering that the grafts seem to be placed in rows, how does the doctor NOT transect existing hair? I thought Wong only placed grafts in rows/columns when NOT implanting to scalps with 0 existing hairs? This very much seems overkill and considering that medication would of been a viable option to avoid surgery why doesn't that discussed and offered to this patient before the surgery?
  16. Anything short of a full refund would not be acceptable. Stand your ground OP. This is AWFUL WORK.
  17. I would be very cautious and have some serious questions about the damage done to the scalp. Not sure why the red is so irritated and would get a second option. Thie doctor did a poor job with placing multi hair grafts at the hairline. @Melvin- Moderator any update or statement from the clinic?
  18. Love it when people come back after X amount of years and update the thread!
  19. @Melvin- Moderator Can you reach out to the clinic for a statement? This is ALARMING to say the least!
  20. This is an awful result and we need to reach out to the surgeon to make this right. The scaring (red dots) combined with the amount of multi grafts in the hairline is unbelievable. this would PISS me off.
  21. I would avoid Hasson and stick with Ferreira, Bisnaga, or Pinto.
  22. You area LEGEND! One of the most iconic posters on this forum for sure! Incredible how far we've come to point where we can basically defeat the Norwood reaper completely.
  23. This makes no sense to me. I don't see how implanting in rows gives you a better density? Regardless of the pattern a patient's head will still get x number of grafts placed in a same sq cm^2 area meaning the pattern is irrelevant. You'll walways have the same natural of grafts over a given area. And hair is not naturally growing out in rows and columns. If you buzz cut your hair, you will never see hair growing out in rows/columns. What is the patient wants to wear his hair short? This would be a incredibly wierd design. I agree with this as well. I remember a D**** thread a while ago about a patient complaining as to why grafts were implanted in rows and columns and everyne agreeed it was unnatural and make the hair/hairline way too harsh. I've really only saw this pattern in 3 types of clinics: Hair mills, D****'s and H&W
