  1. I would like to see results from people who had it done in the UK after 8 months plus
  2. From what i know you should not even consider a transplant at your age. Please do your research and ask the right people, trust
  3. Wish you the best, it seems you have gone from norwood 7 to like 2 or even 1 What were the grafts used and numbers ? How much in pounds estimate would this be just to get an idea i mean over or under price ? It would be good to see cases of transplants not only before and after treatment but like in 5 to 10+ years time too
  4. Yes, I got the worse of things, first i thought it was the cost i saved a little and hoped i could get a transplant (i did expect to have another one but after some years) However i was told i was not a suitable candidate which i had to accept. Then all these other and i mean many clinics and doctors were saying i can have treatment telling me different graft numbers from 2000 to 8500+ They were not considering or telling me about any future hair loss and donor area is not enough to cover the loss as doctor Lorenzo and Farjo clinic London truthfully told me. Many palces are offering me grafts which are totally impossible and all are saying different number of grafts. One clinic then told me it was not possible to get another 1000 which another clinic said they could. I asked if this is the case now disputing between a 1000 grafts what about the future. They then said we will look at other treatments! One clinic said we have to quickly get the hairs from the donor area before they fall out. I said if they can fall out there will they not have more of a chance of falling out when transplanted ? They have not replied. Then i heard about the body hair and beard but like you say they are not reliable and even these can be limited and not many do them and they are expensive too with no guarantee. I would advise not to rely on free consultations but have a proper check of the hair and check with others as well as ask for before and after pictures not only that ask for pictures or to see results after 5+ years. Also go with a well known and relaibale doctor even if it costs more than be sorry in addition to spending/wasting money on cheaper offers. Now the thing is i'm in a time in life 35years old when this was the last thing i thought would concern me but it does, not having / loosing hair does make me feel older etc and a shaven head just does not suit me. Gone are the days i had so much hair i used to always wear a beanie hat for some reason. Now within 5 to 7 years nearly bald looking at norwood scale7 with limited donor area too. If i had the money i think i would still risk it and try a transplant with beard and body hair from a good doctor, i don't know.
  5. it's not terribly expensive, so I would say it's worth a shot. Seems like there is more science backing it up than many other hair loss treatments. Yes i've seen different prices and some say results may not be seen up until a year others say 3 injection a few months apart and then see if any results. PRP is especially effective in patients with diffused loss. This is because sufferers with diffused loss tend to have a lot of miniaturized hair and these hairs respond best to PRP/ACell treatments. This is what i'm hoping for in addition to a miracle while using Regain monoxidil ! Thanks for that info i will loook into PRP with ACell Does anyone know if this treatment is done in London, England (UK) ?
  6. Which Dr in India did your treatment? Thanks
  7. Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Treatment of hair loss or hair thinning. It is an injectable treatment which uses the patient’s own blood. It can promote hair growth, fuller, healthier looking head of hair. While PRP is in the early stages of scientific research in hair restoration, PRP is not meant to replace current FDA approved therapies such as DHT blockers and Minoxidil. But it is a promising non-surgical therapeutic option for those patients with hair loss. Anyone had this treatment and have they seen results? Pictures? Do you think it would help / worth a try in my case ? Rashid35
  8. I used to have alot, alot of body hair it was not the same as head hair but i do think it could have been used to add density but I did not know I would need it for my head hair so i had laser hair removal done many times in the past. I still have body hair but it has become more thin now. I dont know how thick it would get if i let it grow out. My beard hair is much more like my head hair it is dark and thick and grows quick. I have had laser hair removal below the jaw and neck too. I still have hair under the jaw but i shaved it so you wouldn't see it in the pictures. Where exactly are the grafts taken from the beard ? Also are these reliable in getting a big number for my case ? Regarding different clinics / doctors i've had such different opinions from Europe many have said they can do fue alone and they have not told me anything else. From Turkey most said i was not a suitable candidate. I'm not sure about India and would I go there for treatment and it would not be cheap considering follow-up appointments etc. The doctors / clinics who say i'm not suitable candidate have given me a few reasons why but these dont do/rely on body or beard hair. When i ask these things to those who say i can have a transplant they don't answer me. If i have a transplant i need to know if if i had furture hair loss would i be able to get more grafts to cover that ? I havent even thought about the costs yet! Any help welcome!
  9. Thanks to everyone. 1] I will grow the hair more then post the pictures but only after 1 week of growth my hair starts looking really uneven so i use a number 1 setting on my trimmer on the back and sides. I then level any longer hairs on top with a scissors. So i have an overall short even hair. How much growth would you say is needed? The current pictures were just under 2 weeks growth. 2] The people i had consultations with i dont know if they were doctors but they just gave me a graft number and price no further explanation. What should i ask for dont know if they would do tests as the consultations are normally free ? I really have had many many different replies from clinics/ doctors e.g below This is DR. Umar email reply, Dear Mr Rahsid, Given your hair loss status, there a 4 possibilities for restoration using my methods. Please look at them using the attached photo for reference and let me know which options suits your present goals the best: 1. We can create an expanded forelock the involves your front and middle to the exclusion of the crown with 2000 - 2500 head and nape derived grafts. The hairline would be very conservative at about the NW 3 position and the density is also conservative 2. Restore your front and middle to the exclusion of the crown with 4500 - 5000 head and nape derived grafts. The hairline would be conservative at about the NW 2 position. 3. Restore your front, middle and crown with 6500 - 7500 head, nape and beard derived grafts. The hairline would be conservative at about the NW 2-3 position. The crown is given a thinning look. 4. Restore your front, middle and crown with 9500 - 11000 head, nape, beard and other body area derived grafts. The hairline would be aggressive at about the NW 2-3 position. The crown is given a moderate density coverage. 5. Subsequent to #4, you can do successive surgeries of 3000-5000 grafts to add density and to bring your hairline to NW 2-1 and/or for density Please note that especially for options #4 and #5 touch up surgeries may be required to attain desired densities. Please send photos of your: chest; stomach area; leg and thigh FineTouch Dermatology Inc DermHair Clinic 819 North Harbor Drive, Suite 400 Redondo Beach, California 90277 Tel (310) 318-1500 or 1877-DERMHAIR Fax (310) 318-1590 Now many have said different things to me with around 5 or so clinics/ doctors saying i'm not suitable for a transplant. If i had alot of money i probly would take the risks and see if it worked for me but i don't so again i'm left confused. I do think the hair industry needs to be more regulated as many say they can do this and that when others say it's impossible.
  10. Can more not be done to cover the crown completely ? I ask incase if i had treatment but lost more hair further down the line what would i do then ? Also how much would something like this cost, estimate?
  11. Will that not have a chance of coming off, e.g. in wind, rain, shower, exercise, if pulled, conditions? Also do these not need to be specially maintained which could become costly?
  12. It would be good to see pictures of people after a couple of years of treatment or even 5 to 10 years.
  13. One of the hardest things to accept but need to be safe then sorry. My question is how can so many clinics and even doctors not just tell me this many have said to me to go for treatment now with no concern about the future hair loss, cost and stress that it could cause me. I think i will wait till it gets to norwood 7 and then see what i got to work with but by then i might not want it. I thought i might have some more hope when body and beard hair were mentioned but then don't know if i can rely on this. No one gives a guarantee too. Has anyone had good results for more then 5 years lets see pictures. When i asked one clinic for this they started getting funny. I got alot of questions to ask if i were to go with the hair system option and SMP safety
  14. Just been told, We do not harvest body hair to be transplanted over the scalp as there is a disparity in hair caliber and life span between these two types of hair. Body hair has a bigger caliber, coarser and more curly compared to scalp hair. Transplanting them over the scalp might not produce an evenly blended look.
  15. I'm sad ! The pictures i posted were with 2 weeks growth. I normally have to trim the sides and back hair every 4 to 6 days as they grow so fast and i want an overall short, neat and blend look. I buy products which are safe to use and from known stockists. Now there are many online products i dont want to risk. Okay but if i did that front hair and mid what about future loss? I have been told by one clinic to go for coverage than density but how much coverage would be needed to look good. I don't mind some scalp showing but the problem is looking 5 to 10 years if i have complete loss like my dad and brother than how will i look if i have the transplant now? My beard hair grows very vey quick and it is thick ive let it grow long in the past. See beard pictures at about 4 to 5 days growth. I accept i cannot get full hair like it used to be but whats the best i mean on norwood? Other people who have had alot of hair loss also have good donor, seems i got the worst of it.
  16. Little is known about the chemical composition, adsorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) of inks. Little information is available on short-term and long- term safety of the pigments, their carcinogenic potential, how they affect the cells that take up the inks, and how the body responds to the interaction of ultraviolet light with the inks. We do know that some tattoos fade or turn color when they are exposed to light. Research has also shown that some pigments migrate from the tattoo site to the body’s lymph nodes. The long-term health significance of this is unclear. - lymphatic cancer is a result of ink build up in body... - Ink does not just disappear... - tattoo causes lymphadenopathy... http://www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/ConsumerUpdates/ucm048919.htm
  17. Will only donor hair be used and what if one has limited donor ?
  18. i used toppik and it did the job only after it makes a complete mess. black powder all on my t shirt and you have to use shampoo to wash it out and it gets on the face too. washed it off with soap and the soap went black! Never use that again its like powder, waste of money only used once.
  19. Thanks everyone i learnt more here than consultations i've been to in person! I've been told that my hair is thinning so fut scar will show. I don't want to wear the hair system as i'm not completely bald yet! If i get the hairline done and mid area what about future hair loss? What will I do then i will just be left with a few transplanted hairs in e.g 10 years? Some doctors have suggested doing the hair line with donor hair and body and beard hair for the scalp. They have said body and beard hair has much less chance of regrowing. Many clinics have said sorry to me i'm not a good candidate for a hair transplant. It's been about 2 weeks I started using Regain foam but because its such a large area i cannot cover it all with the reccomended dosage. i don't want to put too much on so i've been putting it on the crown and a little at the front. I will give this around 3 to 4 months. Dont want to take med due to side effects. Again I have been given many different opinions regarding treatment from clinics. I wonder how many transplants i would need and the cost of it? Is body and beard hair something i could rely on for future hair loss and to cover large areas? Also its not only the back hair i have i mean the sides can be used too. I'm 35 years old in the past few years i have noticed more thinning and hair on sides going white. The worst thing is a bald head just does not suit me because of the way my face is shaped and i have a pointed nose.
  20. How much would a transplant like this cost?
  21. Thanks everyone for your reply. Please post all links you mention so i can read. I have had many different opinions from clinics and doctors some say 2000 grafts some 3000 some even 4500 and over! Doctor Lorenzo is the only one who told me I have retro alopecia and limited donor. Most clinics in Harley Street, London just gave me a graft number and a price with the exception of Farjo Clinic who saved me from spending alot of money and trouble in this regards. The thing i'm most worried about and which they explained to me is the amount of hair loss and the donor area and future hair loss on top of that it will not be able to cover that as well. I don't just want to be left with transplanted hair only and the rest fall out. My dad and brother have full hair loss only sides and back left however they dont have retro alopecia. Which leads me to another possible cause of this and that is in the past i have had laser hair removal to remove hair on the back of the neck going up to the ears. Now i think maybe the heat from the laser has affected the hair too Or it may just be i have retro alopecia. I have researched a lot on different treatment options and read a lot regarding my hair loss. Please let me know your comments, opinions and advice in my case.
  22. Please see my pictures and let me know if I can restore my hair loss.
