  1. that's the problem you cannot get enough information bec they don't want to give the treatment away for others to copy, etc Do they make you sign a health disclaimer form before treatment? How would one remove it if they needed to? Also I hear it can effect MRI scans https://www.livescience.com/32801-do-mri-machines-affect-tattoos.html
  2. fin is a very sensitive topic here especially because it's the only main thing which is effective against hair loss hence many would risk it
  3. You can send a report to the fda, I read it is important to know what's the ingredients in the ink not just the pigment. I'm still unsure just the thought of having so much of the product go through the body puts me off
  4. In my opinion it's not worth any kind risk to health by taking large amounts of something over an extended period. Hence these days I just have a multi hair vitamin supplement.
  5. mine used to be very thick and similar until I had it laser hair removal it still grows back but more finer, would it still be possible to use it?
  6. I stopped fin, if interested in 3 months original mercks make propecia, pm, (London, UK)
  7. Thanks MarkWestonHair for been very transparent regarding your ink etc and I respect you been doing the treatments for such a time. Lorenzo I wonder if you had the ink tested for a cancer link? & if you know anyone else who had the same treatment and got cancer? Was the ink you had put on carbon based? I'm still in doubt and would not risk even if there is a small chance of a link with cancer. Any other info would be helpful as my current situation is low donor supply and large balding area. Thanks
  8. I recovered within a couple of weeks from mine done on the inside only. Which country and price did you pay?
  9. I had much improvement / slow down from meds but they were not enough to make a huge enough difference in my case and stage of hair loss. I guess only a ht's can do that but then it's the sides and I don't want to have a ht if it is dependent on meds which give sides and I have to take for many years... Now I hear even minoxidil can have sides and used over number of years... (when I was on fin it was the best thing nothing was more effective)
  10. One of the problems is it's a new treatment and until we get enough number of people who had it done over x number of years, I guess we will not know for sure. Mark - I'm based in the U.K and cannot travel at the moment, thanks, You say your inks are different many people say similar things I'm not disputing with you but how are we supposed to know what is safe and what will not cause us further harm... Lorenzo - just to clear would you have smp again or recommend it, from your opinion?
  11. Yes, these days I just have a balanced out diet and occasional multi vitamin tablet
  12. I used to do boxing and have had 2 operations on my nose to help with breathing but they done it from inside and still looks bent/ one sided from outside. I consulted in UK a few years ago and was told around 10K. I need some reliable places within Europe to consider....
  13. On some people laser needs to be done more than once and even then the hair may not be completely removed and sometimes some hair is removed while others are left so you would have to have more treatments even if you don't. Laser hair removal as it is marketed once treatment starts is changed to laser hair reduction. Laser is not free from sides including redness, pain, leaving skin itchy, spot/ pimples, mole/burn and on face can cause excessive redness / spots and some keep coming back. Also laser treatment is the most expensive method
  14. Since buzzing my hair down and accepting the way things are it has given me a sort of power feeling, I can't explain it...
  15. it's all about your donor and bank balance supply, if they are plenty you can have ht treatment/s... if not then like me you risk loosing more hair and with a low donor supply will not be able to keep up and left with possibility of hair patches, scaring and heartache. Hair transplant some can have it, some can risk it others just can't/ shouldn't... Family history of hair loss is a strong indication...
  16. People seem to associate hair loss and greying with age... From my experience what I found was meds / products can only improve existing hair / appearance but for areas where there is no hair it will do nothing for and you have to keep using them continually / regularly which could end up costly and risk of sides
  17. I agree there is no clear evidence but is there any possibility of a link? I respect doing smp is someone's livelihood as well as making a huge difference to many but the safety side needs to be discussed, So from the way I see it, the moment the ink is put on etc in the body it is recognised by the body as foreign and it starts to work against it/ to get rid of it (even if it takes x no of years). Then it goes thru your body, cells, bloodstream, clearing process by the body, does this have any type of effect as it is defiantly not natural. Many people seem to be getting cancer now all these environmental things we have brought upon ourselves. Please correct me as I have low donor supply and a large hair loss area. My family history is nw7 so been around nw6 does not give me any confidence to risk ht/s. Smp would be a great option for me if only it is safe... Thanks
  18. My hair loss seems to have slowly progressed esp since stopping fin. I don't think any type of meds will make a huge enough / noticeable difference so I will be stopping them too, no point risking sides and spending money. My only options at the moment seems to be smp or buzz it down till I can then shave or keep the u shape. Also now I have 3 months of unused supply of propicea (finestride) left what do I do with that?
  19. Oh and on top off all that if I didn't need any other hair problems, my hair is increasingly turning white/grey. Maybe buzz or bald cut was my destiny after all
  20. in my opinion if people were to take fin then the least amount possible not the most!
  21. I noticed nothing with lipo min just use it sometimes now to finish it off
  22. I feel I might end up chasing my hairloss as it progresses and the problems that could come along with fue (as above) If I have treatment I will need more touch ups but the problem is my low donor supply. I've been using meds for a while now I have noticed a lot of difference but at my level of hair loss it's not enough and using them over the years gets costly and side effects risks too. After over 3 years I reduced min to once a day and going to reduce it further and then probably stop like I did with fin. The supplements get expensive as well and not sure how much they contribute to healthy hair so might cut them out too. The problem with all these treatments is they are long term use, expense & side effects. I've been using hairmaxx laser comb (fda approved) for about 3 months don't see any difference but I guess it's bit too soon.
  23. if the light is reflecting off the scalp then it can look more bald then it is, some people don't know the difference many are called bald when they buzz!
  24. I see pictures some doctors doing grafts which cover alot on a persons scalp but then see others using the same amount but not covering much
