  1. To answer your question I would definitely trust my last 1000 grafts with Dr Cooley. Finding him is one of the best things that happened to me. I went through a lot of bad clinics and experiences before finding him. I had a similar experience with Diep. I flew all the way to California and my appointment was double booked. He really rushed me through the consult because he had another guy waiting in the office. He seemed more like a salesman. I think he is a great fue surgeon from what I have seen but his office was a mess. I have heard it has improved since then but I have no idea. I was originally going to go with Konior but he was booked out nine months when I talked to him. I was going to wait but found two more doctors I really liked one being Gabel and the other was Cooley. After meeting Cooley I knew he was what I was looking for the best for me and my situation. Notice I said best for me that may not apply to someone else. My point above is that there is no best no sure thing. If you pick a qualified doctor things should turn out well. I honestly believe if I chose Gabel I would also have been happy. The lists people use here are vastly different on other websites.

  2. There is no sure list. People on here try to cram the same doctors down your throat but there are plenty of doctors that are not worshiped here that are really good and they never get talked about at all or enough. What works for one person may not work for another. The main thing is not the doctor but what is your situation your hair caliber, loss etc. There is not one doctor on earth that is a miracle worker. The skill of the doctor matters but the real determining factor is what you have to work with.

  3. Agree with HT soon. Even though it is hard to tell from pictures and I am not a doctor you may have miniaturization in your donor area. If that is the case those hairs if transplanted will not survive for long because they are not dht resistant. Not trying to steal your hope it's hard to tell from pictures. Best to get an ethical doctor to look in person

  4. I think we have all been where you are at and it is not a fun place to be. There are so many opinions out there and it makes it hard to make a decision. Having said that there is no reward without risk. Some have great response to propecia others do not. I had sides but it passed when I cut the dose. Some have great transplants others do not there is no guarantee of anything especially dealing with hair loss. I had problems with the shampoos a ton of shedding but I was overusing it. There is 0 evidence that a laser cap can keep 90% of your hair it simply isn't true. Laser therapy has kind of fallen off in the last few years as snake oil. Can laser therapy be helpful ? The jury is still out on that and better to buy a laser comb for cheap than blow 2500 on a cap. Yes the cap has more lasers but why burn all of that money? I was back to square one many times before I found the right doctor so don't feel bad. You should consult with more clinics and compare what they recommend.

  5. Agreed, the description you make for "Dr. K" doesn't ring any bells, as Dr. Konior and Dr. Keser are the first two that come to mind, and the price for fue and technique doesn't match Koinior, and both of these doctors are not new on the scene.

I'm guessing "Dr. B" is Bisanga and W is Wong?

My first guess was Karadeniz but I could be wrong.

  6. When I first saw this thread I also thought no way should he undergo another procedure. After hearing that it is easily noticeable in person I have changed my stance on it. In the end it is his head and as long as he knows the risks it is his decision. I would get several opinions from qualified surgeons to see what they think. I would not lower the hairline because you have already used a bunch of your graft supply. I understand that a bad transplant is worse than being bald so completely understand trying to get this fixed. A repair case is not hair greed so don't beat yourself up on that.

  7. With all do respect you are insane. You made it through two weeks. Important now for you to just live your life and don't dwell on it daily. It will get worse before it gets better. The ugly duckling stage sucks and can be really stressful if you look close at your head every day. Once the grafts shed it sucks for a while but when they start to grow for real you will be happy every day you wake up. Give the process a chance to work and just relax. Happy growing.

  8. Oh. Thanks for the warning. I guess it seemed too good to be true. :(

Sadly Things that sound too good to be true are just that. I was uneducated at first was just looking on you tube and found the doctor he worked for. He had the most videos and I thought his results were the best but it's just smoke and mirrors. I gave the doctor my money then he went insane on you tube. I am not allowed to say his name but if you google hair transplant Jesus you will see all you need to know. Luckily I got my money back but there are a bunch of bad stories about it.

  9. Yes do yourself a favor and move on. I dealt with the doctor he was once working with and it was a nightmare. We are not even allowed to speak that doctors name on here. Never dealt with Huebner personally but he has taken on the same type of practice as the guy he trained with. They charge by the size of the strip and that is ridiculous. They love to tell you that you need two procedures because they can't transplant grafts close together because of blood supply. This is bs I had a procedure four months ago and my doctor had no problem putting grafts close together. They use techniques that were used in the late eighties and early nineties. I can tell you exactly how they work. They shave your head try and take the biggest strip they can to make money and give you basically plug type grafts. Look at the videos and the spacing in the grafts. Good doctors do not do this type of surgery. This clinic puts four to five hairs in a spot. That makes it look bad. Research mini grafts and you will understand that this is an outdated procedure.

  10. Acell will not stop shock loss. Acell is used to heal the scar where the strip is taken in fut.

I had acell used and my scar has healed better than I could have hoped it is a non issue for me.

Is it because of the acell ? Who knows? I am guessing it was because it healed remarkably fast.

Some doctors also use acell to preserve the grafts while they are out of the body.

  11. There have been a few exceptions to the rule but yes the hairs will most likely shed. It's really important mentally to realize it's just part of the process. Best thing you can do is not obsess over it. I hit exactly four months today. Month two was not so good everything vanished and I looked worse than before the surgery. Middle of month three I started growing like crazy . Once you turn the corner it's pretty amazing every day is a little like Christmas.
