  1. How about an update biolizard? Have things improved since your 4 month post? You should be at about 9 months now. I hope you have turned the corner some and are happier with the transplant. Let us know Thanks
  2. Good Luck today shanson. I would do what Dr. Devroye thinks will be best for you. He's a good doc.
  3. I don't know about that, Dr. Bisanga never even brought it up with me. He has quite a few cases on here of patients that do not take it.
  4. I used to have this happen all the time, they are just wanting to get you to take it off to see if you have hair. Most of them will admit it if you ask them, point blank. To the op, I am 4 months post op and getting pretty brave in public without my hat. It will get easier for you. Good luck bud.
  5. Great choice in Feriduni. I consulted with him also and he is Super passionate about his work and was a really nice guy to boot. The 5,000 graft estimate from Erdogan was way to much in my opinion. That being said, I was surprised that Dr Feriduni gave you such a high number also. Maybe your pics don't really show all your loss very well. I am more receded than you and he told me between 1,300 and 1,800 grafts. Anyways, I would trust Dr Feriduni and congrats on your upcoming procedure.
  6. Hey Stinger, I know you have concerns with your touch up to previously transplanted areas. I had a procedure with Dr. B almost 2 months ago and I can say that I have noticed zero shockloss to my native hairs. They have grown back in just like they were before the procedure. Of couse I have no idea if my transplant will be a success, but I am feeling pretty confident that I will not end up worse than I started with Dr. B. All the best to you and thanks again for keeping up with your thread.
  7. Dr Bisanga only shaved the immediate recipient and all of the donor. He then asked if I would like to leave the rest of the hair or shave it. I told him to just shave it all, so it would all be even. I do have at least a month off work though. But, my hair was probably long enough that I could have gotten away with a comb over if I wanted. Good luck to you
  8. Wow, what a difference. Congrats and thanks to the patient and SL for following up. Always leaves you wondering when a thread goes cold. But in this case, obviously the pt just got busy enjoying his new hair. Congrats
  9. Really nice improvement. I like the way he can wear his hair short and up and it looks totally natural. Last pic shows what I would consider a perfect hairline. Awesome!!
  10. Stinger, I have enjoyed following your thread. You are Night and day above where you started. You and your Dr. knew from the git go that being a high NW that you would have to trade density for coverage. That being said, I think you got a pretty good yield. It's not like he could dense pack you with the extended loss that you had. I would take the 400 fu touch up and not look back, then go for the crown. Good luck to you sir and thanks for posting your journey.
  11. I consulted with both Bisanga and Feriduni, both great guys. Bisanga estimated my donor at 2 1/2 times what Dr. Feriduni did. Dr Bisangas hairline was lower and he quoted more grafts per cm2. I liked both of them but Dr. Bisanga was more aggressive and assured me that I had enough donor to last me a lifetime
