  1. Hey ozmockey, You are not startling me it's fine I did years of research before I got a ht done so if you think this is the first time I've read about erdogans dense packing or to be more conservative for the future you'd be wrong haha, I didn't get a low hairline like most people like to get when they go to erdogan so in that respect I was thinking of the future.. Off the top of my head I'm pretty sure I had 9500 that could be used in my donor so I still have plenty for future surgery regardless of 3000 being used up so I could be conservative in the future as I slowly progress. That is if I wanted to, it was the first time I'd ever had a shaved head when I had my ht and I honestly didn't mind it but that's for a later date if I could have hair id rather have hair. All in all id say I chose him as every result I see is great again I know you could argue because he over compensates but yeah, also he was in my budget, he's great with hairlines and that is what I needed, and the biggest thing for me you knew you'd be looked after and everything was cared about and you wasn't going to be left with horrible work and down loss of money
  2. Hey erkso, Yeah my right side now isn't detectable even in natural light you wouldn't suspect a thing but on my left side I don't have as many hairs and the ones I do have are still really fine hairs whereas the ones on my right all seem to have thickend up, fingers crossed for the left side
  3. Hey yaz, Great to hear from you your post was one that helped me decide to go with dr koray and get my ht done, thanks for the comments and reassurance I know only half way there so nothing to worry..
  4. Sorry guys phone didn't upload the right side so here it is
  5. Hey guys my 6 month update was 2 days ago but I haven't been able to get access to a computer so thought I'd wait a couple of days to try get access and do a decent write up but that's not possible so I'm just going to update on my phone, my left side is still weaker than my right.. My right side I could not be meow happy with you couldn't tell a thing but my left side just makes me appear to be starting to thin and go bald So still a long way to go for this to improve I have hope but that's where I'm at, at the moment.. Thanks for reading and if you've any questions feel free to message me.
  6. I am fully aware how hair follicles work you're right but I can't say getting a HT is something I do on a regular basis so when I go from washing my hair and hardly ever finding hairs in my hand to all of a sudden finding 10 hairs then I will take to the forums and ask questions after all that is what forums are all about... I would think you would know how forums work seeing as you made an account?
  7. Hi everyone, so today is my 5 month update. Ive started to notice my left side is not progressing as good as my right and i have banged my left side about 3 times from maybe 2 months onwards so i hope this isnt the reason.. I know theres alot of cases where one side starts out stronger than the other. I've still got a slightly pink scalp so hopefully its a sign of healing still takin place and something is happening underneath. i do keep having the odd shower where i find around 8-10 hairs in my hands then others where i find only a couple. i hope this is just a seasonal shed as the weathers been really cold but now its starting to warm up, who knows ill be able to tell you when im at 12 month. i think for only 5 month im doing pretty well i cant complain, my scalp is still visible in the places ive had transplanted hair but with my native hair getting longer along with the transplanted hairs its easy to just comb my hair to the side and help cover them. because my transplanted hair is 3 months behind on length compared to the rest of my hair my haircut looks a little strange but ill be getting it cut shortly and think it will look abit better once its all growing at the same pace at the same stage, i havent taken any donor area pics as my hairs pretty long but i am getting my hair cut soon to a grade 2 so i will take photos then to see if i can get away with the short back and sides look i think i will. other than that theres nothing else to add if you have any questions at all please feel free to ask either on here or in private message, thanks for taking the time to read this.
  8. Hi mate, if you're seeing loss of sprouts they will all come at once and you'll have a great 4 month update as soon as I noticed all them I had a good feeling and I didn't realise how good the growth was until I posted my 3 and 4 months side by side, was a good improvement.. Looking forward to seeing your final result as thatoldchesnut said 3400 into 50cm2 is very dense even if your hair isn't so thick
  9. Hi mate thanks a lot, you'll have to message one of the moderators on here to give you access to inbox people.. Once you can do that send me a message and I'd be happy to talk and arrange something. I don't want to post a number or address on here obviously so if you can get it sorted so you can inbox I'll be more than happy to give you that info and sort something mate
  10. Looking good erkso, I was looking like that at 3 month.. Luckily had a great burst of growth to 4 month hopefully you see the same in these next few weeks grow well buddy
  11. Hi erkso, yeah I was updating every 4 weeks before so I figured I'd stop that now and just update the 23rd of every month so it is a month bang on from when I got it done. Yeah I am happy at the moment I think when I say they looks thin it's more because my native hair looks thick? So because that's thick and my transplanted hair is still thin and not as many hairs in one area it makes it look like my hairs just starting to thin.. Hopefully the hairs start to get thicker and new hairs keep sprouting threw. I can see a few coming on my left side which is good as that side has really slowed down.. That used to be my best side and now my right has over took it on growth haha it's so crazy, how it chops and changes. I hope seeing mine and you thinking it looks good has given you a positive mind set though mate you shouldn't be long out of the ugly duckling phase now should you ??
  12. Hi everyone, so today is my 4 month update, things are going good.. I did have a really big growth a few weeks back but i think that has slowed down now. or it could still be growing and im just not noticing it much now even though my family keep saying its changing loads and getting better all the time. I have noticed the last 3 times ive washed my hair quite a few hairs on my hand than normal i was wondering iff this is the "seasonal shed" that ive read about?? if someone could comment on this it would be great to hear thanks. other than that theres nothing much to comment yet its deffinitely improving i just feel as though its slowing down now, hopefully i get another rush burst of growth because it was nice to see that.. with my native hair been so dark you can see it makes my temples stand out as they are thin at the moment, so right now i look asif i have decent hair but my temples are starting to thin so its nice that i know they are going to get thicker not thinner. thanks for reading guys ill update at 5 month and answer nay questions if you have any
  13. Looking great erkso for only 2 months too. Very nice to see you have a lot of hairs that have hung on and not shed you've more transplanted hairs not shed than me. I'm just over 3 month and my head has really started to fill out so the good news for you is it should look better than mine so fingers crossed for that and in just over a month your hair should be in great shape
  14. yes shock loss hair comes back, it is basically hair in a rest phase which lasts around 3 months before growing again. if a hair is being effected by MPB and is in its last cycles before it would of disapeared anyway then shock loss will cause these hairs not to grow back after 3 months and they would go as they would of naturally. and yes like i said in my message depending on a few factors will determine whether you are ok having a HT without finasteride or not. young age been a big factor due to future loss. but if your baldness has not stabilised and you are young i would not recommend surgery without the use of finasteride as you will only progress balding behind your newly transplanted hairs and this would look worse than you did before surgery
  15. @r5000 there is people that have great results without like i say it must depend on certain factors. for example im 25 and when i first got in touch with asmed clinic they declined me a HT as they said with my age and current baldness its only going to get worse but they didnt know i had been taking finasteride for 11 months so when i told them this and that my hairloss has slowed down so much they turned around and told me they could proceed with a HT if i continue to use finasteride and if i didnt warned me of how my baldness will progress behind my transplanted hairs. when i used to wash my hair before id have easily 15 hairs in my hand and after 11 month of finasteride id be lucky to find one hair when washing. but then on the other hand if you had a 40 year old man who wont take finasteride due to seeing side effects dr koray might go ahead with it without thinking twice as his baldness should be petty stable at that age and what he was going to lose he'd have already lost. im not saying he wont have any future loss at all because hes in his 40's that wont be the case but it wont be as severe as someone at 25 not taking finasteride. @erkso i know so good to be out of the ugly phase and hopefully start seeing noticable growth myself.. im glad you mentioned the stacks sprouting threw as i only noticed these myself on close inspection around 4-5 days ago, got abit excited to see them. i think me you and raman should have very similar results but with me been ahead i dont know what to expect im jealous of you having me and raman a little infront so you can see whats to come for yourself at certain stages haha ill update at month 4 mate i think its going to be a big change from month 3 as all these sprouting will have grown longer
  16. your redness doesnt look half as bad as mine yours looks slightly pink mine was that red it was glowing in the dark haha. good to hear you havent shed as much as i did, i think youre going to have a very good result here
  17. hey erkso, only just come across your post as its in a different section of the forum to mine, it was my 3 month mark yesterday and im very pleased so far, your work looks very clean and to a high standard you should have a great result even with 40 microns good luck growing mate cant wait to see your results now
  18. no dr koray recommends finasteride as it should yield better results to if you wasnt taking it,there was guys there when i was there that dont take it due to having side effecs in the past and dr koray asked if theyd retry taking it and see if its different this time but if they didnt want to take it he warned them of future baldness and if they still wanted to go ahead with it he did so. so there is still a chance to get it done if you dont take finasteride but he must take certain factors into account.
  19. Thanks raman i really hope so and hopefully you can look forward to sprouting out some hairs from now until your 3 month mark too. fue83 i did take finasteride id been taking it for around 11 month before i had my op done. The doctors basically said if id of been taking it for near on a year i should of somewhat slowed down/stabilised my hair loss so when i did have the procedure it would be a long time for my baldness to get worse behind the transplanted hairs. the doctors didnt say it helps reccover start well this is PRP which will ensure this happens, finasteride i have been told will give you a better chance of having your transplanted hairs survive. id say 3000 in 40 mins is pretty accurate for the speed he does them, i would of counted but it isnt as easy as that trust me you cant concentrate counting for 40 mins straight haha. but like i said he was going pretty fast and he doesnt stop, also i didnt notice for every 10 or 20 incisions i cant remember which i just know he did it, but he was talking to someone in turkish.. not a conversation but more like letting them know when hes done 20 incisions? and they must of been writig it down so he defiantly keeps track of your incisions so id assume you get the 3000 or however many you was supposed to get. Dr koray and his techs are very good, they produce good results and get alot of patients so i dont think he needs to rip people off by giving them less grafts than they should of gotten because business for him should be great. i do know erdogan has a member of staff sat in each operation room with an ipad in which they have a program to count grafts so once the grafts are extracted they are taken and placed into a solution, after this there is memebers of staff sat seperating your grafts into 1s, 2s, 3,s 4,s etc etc and when they do this someone is sat watching with the ipad putting that info into the program which will give you the number of grafts, how many 1's, 2's 3's etc, how many hairs in total, hairs per graft basically all the stats. so thats how thye count it you receieve all this info in a file after your ht. this still doesnt prove number of grafts i guess but you could always sit there and try count.. but i was been extracted for around 4 hours so when it came to 40 mins of incisions id of fell asleep if id of started counting in my head haha. i will look on y usb and find the HQ photos taken at asmed straight after my grafts were inserted and you can see its very densily packed Ive wrote alot but tried answering everything in detail, hope this all helps
  20. so here is the 2 month pics compared to the 3 month pics, saves you having to go back a page and is easy to see the difference side by side
  21. Hi, guys.. so its finally been 3 month and the ugly duckling phase should be at its end.. my right side has improved massively compared to my 2 month mark, i dont have amazing growth but i think ive had some very nice growth to say at 3 months i wasnt expecting anything at all. to say my head was completley bald before in these areas id say ive had early growth but ill let you guys be the judge of that, when you look at it everyday its hard to see much of a difference if any at all, but my right side was pretty much bald at month 2 mark and now has a few hairs sprouted about. nothing to report apart from a few dark hairs starting to sprout out, loads of tiny thin blonde looking hairs so hopefully they thicken up as time goes on.. and i have noticed quite a few spots the past few weeks, not loads but everytime i fid one and then it goes garunteed i find another elsewhere.. i dont know if these are from hairs starting to grow and not growiing properly so causing a spot to form? but i did read that spots are normal and not to worry so just letting them be. thanks for reading ill update again at month 4 (ALL PHOTOS ARE TAKEN WITH FLASH)
