Yeah i appreciate these comments, i did come across a post where someone was saying the issue was they had started to use a 0.6mm punch which im assuming was to try minimize scarring on the donor area and by doing so it affected the multi grafts therefore causing a lack of density which would make sense as to why someone was having such great results consistently and then all of a sudden a rush of bad results with lack of density. when that person went for a top up they mentioned a punch of 0.9 - 1mm was used this time round. I find it hard to believe Dr Arshad has just all of a sudden turned into a cowboy and doesnt care anymore and its shown in his results. I think this is also clear in the fact he has offered these free top ups to try correct this error which again i completely agree should never have happened. I'm in no rush to get my second HT so i have time to ask around other places, im not opposed to travelling clearly as i went to Asmed in turkey and in that time hopefully we start to see the positive cases again from Arshad as these issue cases were back in 2021 to mid 2022 i believe so we will only start to see the corrected surgerys from mid 2023 at around the earliest? i dont think ill write him off just yet but i definitely agree with alot of your points and with that need to be cautious and give it a few months to see what sort of results come through. @Marko7t4 do you know what punch size was used for you? and when talking to the clinic have they made you aware of what was causing the lack of density cases?

Hi Mate, I did see your post and was really impressed with the results, I'm going to look into it a bit more and see what i find, there was a post recently saying density has been an issue on recent results. Hopefully isnt a write off as ive seen some fantastic results and going there than abroad again would be nice

Thanks for your replies, I live in Leeds and have come across Dr Arshad's (Hair dr) work, but have seen a few density issues as of recently which is strange as he used to have very good density most of the time. is he still worth considering with him been on my doorstep?

Would like to add I received a confirmation from Dr bicer for 2000 grafts as I really like her morals and the idea of her after care but I'm not sure if she's the best person in terms of adding density please advise

Hi, It's been a while since I posted on here my last hair transplant was with Dr koray erdogan, for the last few years I've wanted to go back and add density but I've not heard the best of things about asmed when looking on here, I visited Dr koray erdogan in 2015 (you can view my time there on my account) and had a HT for 3003 grafts, If you see my case I received the grafts down the temple area too these seem to stand out quite bad and appear a lot darker if I have my hair short so I have to have it abit longer on the sides to hide this which isn't the end of the world.. If this could be rectified I'd like that but my main goal is to add abit more density to the frontal area, who are the go to surgeons for this kind of work, working in between existing hairs and good for adding density? I've attached some photos as you can see because my hair is thicker at the back then less thick in the frontal area it doesn't match and does stand out if I comb my hair Appreciate any help cheers

I'm not sure the redness was a "good thing" i read alot of posts and it's just a case of some people have the redness and some don't me personally I would of preferred not to have it so it was less obvious of a hair transplant haha so I'd class you as one of the lucky ones I haven't done much looking on the forums recently as I'm still happy with my results although I am going to consider going for a touch up to thicken a few areas within the next 5 years maybe.. the areas have hair it's just I'd like it to be a little thicker as I had an image in my head when I set out to get a HT and for the sake of a procedure with 1000 grafts at most I'd like to achieve my look. I haven't read reviews on erdogan recently so can't comment on the bad reviews but I have checked his prices and I think they have changed from when I had my surgery. As I paid 2.5 euro per graft upto 1000 grafts then after 1000 grafts it was 1.5 euro a graft. But I can't find this anywhere on the site now and only that it's 2.5 per graft no matter what 🤷🏻‍♂️ I've been looking at some surgeons for the fue method but with DHI as the implantation method I think I'm going to go with this method when I thicken up the few areas within the next 5 years

Yeah people call it hair greed but I'm not wanting another 3000 grafts to pull my hairline down to my eyebrows just around 500 to 750 to finish the job that I paid to start with.. Yeah I'll check it today once on the laptop.. you'll be fine that's the worst stage when it all falls out.. but look on the bright side once it all falls out it can only get better from there;) good luck

Yeah I'm happy with my hair.. but as JustJax said when you've took the plunge and there's a little weak patch you might aswell go the extra few grafts and get it so you're 100% happy.. but at the min for me it's not a must it's just something I would do if I was in a place where I had a few pennies spare.. I hope you get great results.. have you posted your journey on here? I'm currently on my phone but when on my pc I'll check it out if you have.. but 5k grafts sounds like you'll yield a great result

Hi JustJax, yeah I'm not too sure and said I probably won't as there's other things that are more important I could spend my money on as my hair now is not a must but my right side even though 100 times better than before is still not as full as if like it to be.. I have my hair longer on top so you can't see it anyway but I wouldn't mind sometimes having a shorter hairstyle on top but to have this you'd be able to see my right side not as full as id like so.. again it's not a necessary and it isn't affecting me but maybe one day when I have a few pennies to spare I may get it done and like you say around 750 should be more than enough

Yeah think I am going to avoid it.. just maybe change around the hairstyles as it's a cheaper option haha.. no worries about the encouragement mate I'm glad you're happy.. can I ask do you still take propecia? I stopped taking it after a good think on the side effects and my hair is still fine but would be interesting to know if people still use it.. I started to get a fatty tissue lump in my chest and don't know if this was a side effect to taking the propecia and all has been fine since stopping so I don't think I'll ever go down that route again

Thatoldchesnut: like I say my hair all of a sudden seems to just look thick with me having to do anything before I had to comb it over abit to make it look thicker but none of it seems to be an issue anymore my left side seems to have gotten better as you can see from the photo where I'm holding my hair up so yeah I'd like to say it has improved over the last couple of months, thank you for following my journey. hi guys so here is my 12 month update, ive noticed the last few weeks that my hair is starting to look really good on its own, i dont know if this is the new hairstyle i have gone for or if it has thickened up, but who cares, it looks better haha, so yeah i guess this is it, i will update again in another 6 month, for my 18 month mark and other than that, the proof is in the pudding im so happy i went through with having a hair transplant and would recommend it to anyway whos down because of there hair. i was in a really low place when i started losing my hair and now i feel amazing, thanks to everyone for taking the time to follow me on this journey and i hope its helped alot of people and will continue to help people as the forum helped me.

Hello mate, There is a way of getting fue without shaving your head it's called U-FUE so it's undetectable as you're hair would look exactly as it is now same length and then progressively get better.. I didn't do too much research into this as I wanted to know how I looked with a shaven head haha Turkey is definitely value for money on the hair transplant scene but as r5000 says it's very dangerous at the moment.. The airport I flew to 7 months later had a terrorists attack there I saw it on the news here.. As much as I wanted hair if that would of happened before my ht I wouldn't go as my life is more important than hair when you step back and look at it. I'd let things calm down before considering turkey but this forum is great and there is loads of reviews on great surgeons that are very reasonably priced too, obviously I'm going to be biased towards dr koray as he did mine and id recommend him any day of the week but that's not to say there isnt someone equally as good for the same price etc etc Good luck and I hope you find someone mate, if you have any questions at all feel free to message me and we can talk further

Hi everyone, sorry for the late update ive been on holiday, the pictures attached are taken on the day of my 8 month update, im just only getting around to uploading them now. i am happy with how things are, my left side is really weak still but is still an improvement from before i had my ht, id like that to srengthen up but we will see what happens, not much to update from last time, ill keep you guys posted, thanks.

Hey erkso, I haven't really been on the forum recently, glad to hear you're doing well.. I'm just enjoying been able to go out without a hat anymore, got a hair cut a few days ago and it has made my hair look miles better and made me a lot more confident to go out without a cap on.. But yeah even though I've not been on I've got a monthly reminder set in my phone to make sure I update to the very end. Yeah like you in the beginning the redness I saw as an issue but now I don't mind again I like to believe it means something is still happening under the surface, fingers crossed anyway

Hi everyone, Having to update on my phone again so going to keep it short and sweet, my left side is still lagging behind my right side I'm very happy with and is growing really well.. The redness still seems to be there and is more noticeable on the left side as its not got much growth there as the right so the scalp can be seen abit more.. Hopefully it starts to come along nothing more to say at this time, just uploading photos to stick to the monthly plan
