  1. Yeah just want it to start growing now to see if a decent amount has survived under he surface haha but yeah think ill keep mine at grade 2, i want the top to grow so maybe next time i wont be buzzing that to grade 2 and ill leave that
  2. Hi guys sorry didnt get an email to say you had posted. thanks johnboy reasurring knowing people see a difference as its hard to notice when you see it everyday. petchski i wouldnt say i kept alot maybe 10%? my hair looked great just before the 3 week mark, then after shock loss my right side was pretty much all gone whereas my left side still was almost all gone but still had more hairs than the right. i think thats why it looks like the left side has grew in more its just because not as many grafts fell out. anyway guys i shaved my head to a grade 2 today, no other reason other than to give you guys a better understanding of how my donors looking as its hard to judge when the hairs longer and covering it. I usually have my hair cut on a grade 2 anyway round the back and sides and i dont think it looks too bad, possibly even have it shorter if i wanted what do you guys think? maybe the donor could get better too as wont i have native hairs in shock loss at the moment from the extractions? anyway let me know what you think cheers.
  3. Hi erkso hope you are well, day 11, only one more day and all your scabs should be off.. yeah most of those little sprouts of hairs never actually left my head they have just grown from the word go and didnt fall out when i entered the ugly duckling phase. i have noticed a few of the hairs starting as little black dots though so hope this is a sign of some new and early growth, cant wait to get out of this rest phase and just watch it all start growing and coming together
  4. you can see by the photo of my head from top view how much the left side has progressed compared to the right, hopefully it catches up soon and quickly
  5. Hi everyone, so today is finally the 2 month milestone, only another month and i should start seeing some nice changes.. ive had a little bit of growth on my left side, hardly any on the right but still some tiny hairs there that wasnt before. i dont know if it feels like its gone fast or slow, doesnt seem two minutes ago i got it done but at the same time i feel like ive been in this horrible ugly duckling phase for years haha, its an odd one but all part of the process. my donor area seems to look back to normal, but whether it still looks good with shorter hair i dont know yet. im struggling at the moment with if to cut my hair yet or just leave it as theres no harm been caused.. any input on this guys? will cutting it or leaving it have one benefit over the other?
  6. Hi, I emailed them, responses are slightly slow sometimes the same day and sometimes 2-3 days.. i understood why this is when i was there.. the translators that are with the people through out the days of consultation and surgerys are the ones that are responding to emails so they are very busy. but a guy asked me the sme question not long ago and he was emailing an email id never heard of. my advice also was email through the week not weekends as the clinic is shut so you will get no response and by the time the following week has started your email will be buried as a imagine they get loads. heres the email "info@asmed.com.tr" that i told the guy to use and he got a response. like i say try email the start of the week so today would be perfect, once a depositi is sent to them and your surgery day is booked i found they email alot better, i dont kow if they put the patients on a vip list in there emails so they always answer those first as they are now higher priority than someone just sending photos in as they are actually having the surgery? hope this helps
  7. i paid 7500 euro for the 3000 grafts so around ?5500, dr erdogan gave me 1 year supply of proscar which i pay ?229 for so that was nice.. who did you have surgery with? and how many grafts?
  8. yes i read they are really good friends and that people put there work on par as nearly everything they do is the exacy same apart from koray does lateral slit and lorenzo does that pen punch implanter thing. i just wouldnt pay what lorenzo charges when there is other great surgeons out there alot cheaper. but yeah i agree with those 3
  9. hey Petchski, thanks for the confidence boosting words haha, erm as for my donor area id say the first 2-3 days it was a little sensitive but because youre trying your hardest not to touch it or have it touch anything you dont really notice it been sore.. the only time you do is when you have to wash it, so soreness isnt really an issue but id say around 5-7 days it was ok even when washing. as for the scabs, on my recipient area i had them all off by day 12, only had a few on day 11 but made sure i got the last of them by day 12. my donor id say around day 9 all the scabs were off as the back of my head started to get itchy so id just rub it not scratch it and they would fall off easily
  10. thanks erkso, ive got my fingers crossed for a great result for you
  11. Hi everyone, just a quick update. i have just ran out of the mild shampoo from the clinic so from now will be using nizoral once a week and nioxin shampoo and conditioner the rest. i have a little bit of growth already not much but a few, although my left side seems to be growing great which is a good sign at only just over 6 weeks. hopefully it carries on and i can be out of this ugly duckling phase quicker than expected. but thats all, ill update at 2 months with pics, thanks for reading
  12. Looks great, glad it all went well mate. Hope you heal and grow well looking forward to seeing your results. im 5 weeks ahead so you better not get get growth before me or i wont be happy
  13. Yeah youre supposed to cut them into 5's but it just starts to get awkward so i cut into 4's
  14. yes the clinic will take dollars. to make it easier for me i paid all the after care kit and hotel etc prices in euros which came to like 800 euro and the rest for my surgery i just took in pounds saved me getting it all changed and meant id be carrying alot more notes since the pound is worth more than the euro. dr koray gave me and another guy there 14 months pro scar which i pay ?220 for here so that was great he said its a gift so i dont know if he does this with everyone i thought you recieved 3 months supply so if i was you id ask and see if he'll give you 14 months as youre serious about taking it. try your luck haha
  15. yes so heres the pricing: - 2.5 euro per graft (so my 3000 was 7500 euro) - 300 PRP (optional) - 30 euro for transfers from clinic to hotel as many times as needed - 90 euro for transfers from airport to clinic (arriving and departing) - 240 euro for the after care kit (contains: lotion, shampoo, saline solution, finasteride, hat, ice pack) - i think the hotel is 80 euro a night for one person im not sure i got a double room so was 95 euro a night so for two nights it was 190 euro so in total i paid 8350 euro, 1000 of that was sent as a deposit so i paid 7350 when i arrived. if you add my flights i paid aroud 8600 euro for everything which is great. just to make you aware though asmed take cash payments if you choose to pay by card you will pay alot more as tax will all be added on so cash is a cheaper option but also i cant descrie how panicky you feel carrying so much money in cash i think this is a big point that i dont like and really didnt like at the time.
  16. I found threw the week is better to email, sometimes they reply the same day sometimes in a few days. there email responses arnt the best but id put this down to the fact the people you are emailing are also the translators that are with patients through the day having there surgery? they arnt just sat at a computer replying to emails all day. maybe you could pm me the email youve been getting in touch with
  17. No worries, as to how long do i reckon you should stay there thats upto what you want. i had 3000 so i could have all mine done in one day. I wanted to get it done, get home and rest there i didnt want to be over there, so i literally got there had my consultation that day, next day surgery, day after that had my first hair wash and then that night flew home. i met people over there that wanted to be there for a few days after incase they had any questions or incase anything went wrong, ive read about people staying for a week upto 10 days after again to make sure they are around the experts for those crutial days so its down to you but if you get under 3000 3 days is minimum
  18. Hi r5000, the PRP is optional i only chose it as my skin goes red really easy so to reduce redness and help it clear up quicker i had this. it costs 300 euro. My advice on the clinic not responding would be email through the week. I found sometimes when i emailed weekends they wouldnt get back to me this is because the clinic is shut over the weekend so for the best responses email through the week give this a try monday and see if you then get a response within the following days
  19. Hi mate, asmed charge 2.5 euro per graft, dr koray might say you need more than 2500 i dont know but if he was to say 2500 then that would be 6250 euro. Using google currency as a guide thats about $6620 but then theres more prices on top of that as thats just surgery price. i.e. the hotel, your flights, the after care kit, PRP (if you choose to have it, its optional) so depending on what you choose to do/get id say around $8000 - $9000 all in all so half what youve been quoted and you know you're off to a good surgeon
  20. Hey Raman, glad to hear youve arrived safely, yeah i have noticed shock loss in both the recipient and donor area. the donor looks better now as the hair is growing and helping cover but the recipient loss is still noticeable especially at the front sides. goodluck for tomorrow cant wait to see your results
  21. Yeah defiantly recommend it, is it 8 december your op erkso?
  22. Hey Erkso, Nice to hear your nice comments again haha, yeah the redness is fading each day. i defiantly put this down to the PRP. Which is the reason i chose to have this also with my op. i have pale skin and it goes red so easily so when it had been pricked and poked thousands of times with needles you can imagine it was nearly glowing in the dark haha. but i would recommend it if you have skin like mine. People may comment and say how do you know it wouldnt have been like this without PRP as you havent had surgery without, but all i can say is i know my skin and i know it would still be really red, but PRP has defiantly helped me heal faster and thus help fade redness quicker.
  23. Hey johnboy, thanks for the comments again, yeah hopefully alot of the hairs survive and a good result is on the cards but we'll have to see as i guess nothing is garunteed when it comes to this sort of stuff, just going to try stay positive haha
  24. Hi guys, heres the dry photos of me at 4 week i said i would upload.
  25. Yeah donor areas coming along now raman, still got shock loss there so in a few month it should look alot better i think as the hairs growing its helping cover the shock loss abit better but like i say in a few months i reckon i could have my hair pretty short on the back and sides and it shouldnt be noticable. Hey johnboy thanks for the positive words mate, nice to hear things like that from others to stop you thinking the worst haha
