  1. Ultimately, u will end up loosing the diffuse hair and only transplanted hair would be left. So if u add in maximum density to the diffused hair ,finally you would be left with 45 only but the difference would be that until that time you will have a high density. If you don't go for full density now, you will go for it later when diffuse hair fall out. So why not do maximum density now itself. Obviously I am talking here about people who don't want to be on finastride
  2. They say that the maximum density of 40 45 Fu/cm can be given because beyond that the grafts won't survive. What if a diffuse thinner has a density of 30fu/cm remaining and he wants to add 30 more at the front to make it 60?would that also be a problem for graft survival?
  3. Thanks for the explanation. Was there any particular reason for you waiting for the transplant for five years after getting on Propecia? Is not it possible to keep having small transplants before you go fully bald?
  4. Has propecia stabilised your hair? Any side effects? You have put 3700 grafts in the crown , what happens if you lose the front, do you have long term planing with H and W?
  5. I am 28 with a thinning crown and a slightly receding hairline(Norwood 2). I wanted to have the hairline corrected but wanted to know if it would be possible to catch up further hairloss behind the hairline. For the crown , i don't want to touch it as of now. I am sure there is a way to catch up further hairloss if i get the hairline transplanted as i have seen doctors correcting hairlines.Any risks or suggestions? Thanks
  6. Thanks. I will post pictures soon.It might sound shallow but the point is that I am about to marry and thats why having perfect hair makes sense now.lol.Little wonder hair loss is double trouble if it happens before you are even married let alone the impact on career in the prime stages.
  7. I just had a look at some of the hairline transplants and they look pretty aggressive.I am 28 and have a thinning crown and a mature hairline with very little recession at temples(my doctor said its not more than a mature hairline). Two years back my hairline was flat but now i dont like the recession at the temples. My question is , do the doctors start transplanting hairline 3/4 inch above the highest wrinkle or do they go further up to conserve donor hair. If its okay to transplant 3/4 inch above the highest forehead wrinkle , i would probably go for correcting temples. Please suggest.
  8. You started finastride when you were just 22, so did not finasteride save your hair?Did you keep losing and ended up with thinning? What about side effects?
  9. nice hair ernie. One question: Did you get any sides on propecia and did it save all your hair?
  10. I don't know many doctors say don't go for a hairline fix that is just slightly receded yet i see many doctors fixing it every now and then.Thoughts?
  11. Have you been using 5 % minoxidil twice a day since the beginning. How much you use to cover entire scalp? Did you get any side effects from finastride?
  12. I agree. I had prp done last year from a reputed clinic in India (would not want to name)and lost a tremendous amount of hair in the crown and also my hairline. Doctor said it is shock loss from prp and it will recover, 12 months later it has not recovered and infact I have lost hair further to the point where I have started to believe last year prp injection is still in action.
  13. Hi everyone, I am 28 and started to bald at 22. As of now, I have a slightly thinning crown with a pretty good hairline.I currently use minoxidil 5% once a day which almost does nothing. Despite knowing how MPB progresses, I have not been able to start propecia because I am suffering from an undiagonosed chronic pain nuerological condition and hence still not getting on propecia(Ofcourse fear of propecia side effects is also there and it applies much more to me given my health condition). Now the thing is that I am letting go of my crown as I believe that at some point I will get a hair transplant and then get on propecia. When I look at results of Dr koray and keller, it seems transplant can do a great job.I have seen people with bald crown being transplanted by these doctors with amazing results to the point that one might not need to ever get on propecia , specially with new treatments in the pipeline, yet from time time to time I read warnings from doctors for transplanting crown at this age.How does one go about HT when he is young and has a thinned out crown with good front(Obviously front would also progress).Am I wrong to think that HT is the way to go once I loose crown? Please help and suggest as I am loosing hair fast. Thanks,
  14. Hi everyone, i am a new member.I have lost some hairline and have a small balding crown.i would kind of call myself norwood 2, 2a .I would want to have a flatter hairline as i am only 26 and still have my prime years ahead.i wanted to know can i get my hairline fixed without touching crown for now.I know MPB will progress, but can further transplants take care of that.and one more question is will i be able to retransplant my already transplanted hair ,as in if i want to move them from hairline to scalp when i get old.
