  1. Looks like from the other posts by expereinced members you still have some more growth to come. But the hairline may not be that robust, also some decent sized islands are left out without grafting or with less number of grafts.

Howevevr this may have been the doctor's strategy to prevent use of excessive grafts for frontal coverage, he may have opted to preserve some for crowsn and for later touch up. The picturs are not high definition so again difficult to opie.

  2. I have to agree with multitude of other comments, nothing better than natural hairline, would definetly die for your hairline and hairs, no need for un-necessary transplant procedure, I would say wait for 5-10 years bro, why waste money when u have head full of hair!?.

  3. I have been researching HT surgeons both in USA, Europe and India thus far. With regards to quality and price combination you cannot go wrong in choosing any recommended surgeons on this forum from India.

I have also seen some very fine surgeons from New Delhi/Hyderabad and Bangalore area with excellent skills and those surgeons are not yet recommended on this forum. I would personally go for FUE specially if you have limited donor hair and to avoid donor scarring.

Again this is only my personal opinion I have found these Indian docs to be the best as per my research and having interacted and spoken to some of their patients - Dr. Kapil Dua - New Delhi, Dr. Bhatti - Chandighar, Dr. Madhukumar - Bangalore, Dr. Venkat Mysore - Bangalore, Dr. Arika Bansal - New Delhi.

Again this is what my own little research into the surgeons, techniques and results (including talking to some of the surgeon's patients) tells me, please do note that Dr. Madhukumar, Dr. Venkat Mysore and Dr. Arika Bansal are not YET recommended on this forum. But their results are as good as those who are recommended in here. All the above ones also do body hair transplant as well. (body to scalp)

At the end, all the best with whomever you choose, I hope you get great results, please do share your experiences here. Thank you.

  4. @BaldingInReverse - If you ask most surgeons then they will tell you that >95% will be successful, not 100%, and one of the reasons would be poor donor supply or natural limitations as you already have suggested. This is my experience after having consulted many HT surgeons....that is one of the reasons I myself have been unsure of HT given I do not have robust donor hair supply.

I see it this way that this patient would need supplenetal body hair to achieve better results than he has now, but again there is no guarantee about the success of the procedure, I do agree as already stated that blaming surgeon (unless there have been grave deviations in the protocol) would not be the right thing to do. But I also understand his feelings about the lack of appropriate results from this procedure.

  5. @BaldingInReverse .....while eternaldenied has obviously had not such good results...it is important to know that all transplants are not successful...infact I do not see any demeaning words from eternaldenied...just genuine questions as to why his HT did not work?. Imagine yourself in his situation as well...calling him dubious would not help his situation. He has posted pictures please have a look at this thread carefully.

As with any medical practitioner, however good Dr. Bhatti may be as a surgeon there are bound to be some failures, nothing can be 100% guaranteed in medicine unfortunately. That does not mean the surgeon is bad, it is a part and parcel of a practitioners success and failures. I am pretty sure those who are considered best in the buisness would have had their own share of failures as well.

  6. @SHASLEc0,

Thank you, she responded today saying that I would at least need 7-9 k grafts in total probably spread over 2-3 sessions. I would have to use some beard and body hair grafts as well.

Any idea about how much is the charge in Indian rupees for scalp and body hair transplant?

Did you have a follow-up appointment?, any updates?

  7. I can tell you from my own personal experience, Minoxidil (I used standard 5%) made my scalp flaky, itchy and hard to manage. Hair loss was moderate before I had started using it, once I stopped it due to intolerable side effects, hair loss accelarated. And to make matters worse this was sometime around my marriage!!!, but good god bless her I had fallen in love with a wonderful girl who didn't even mind one bit what my corwning glory looked like in accepting me as a life partner :).

I hope you find some solution bro, good luck. In looking at your pics, hairloss doesnot look severe but is definetly diffuse. You have good head shape which makes your head look great with buzzcut.

  8. Thank you SHASLEc0, those are some detailed answers. This is very helpful.

I think overall I agree with both Davis and sutureless, hairline work looks like its been done very meticulously and you will definitely have very good results. I am keeping my fingers crossed and keeping you in my prayers for a great growth and results.

As I said I went through Dr. Bansal's website and so far have been very impressed with those results.

I do have NW6 alopecia and would require body hair supplement for restoration, it would be nice to know if Dr. Garg does body/beard hair transplants as well?.

Again thank you, awaiting more pictures and good luck brother!

  9. Good luck for your growth. Looking at your picture and depending on what your goals are looks like you will need some graft coverage atleast on frontal 1/3rd, should be easy to do once the current grafted areas heal.

    Few questions:

    1. What has been our experience in researching various HT docs in New Delhi area? and why did you choose this physician, was cost a major factor?, did you compare their results?

    2. Do you have pictures of your donor area, from the back?

    3. Do you have any recommendation as such in ND area from your own personal experience?

    Thanks again for the information.

Goodluck. The hairline and the graft placements looks good from current pictures, however will need some higher resolution pictures which are not blurry to make further assessment.

  10. Some FUE clinics in India are, Dr. Kapil DUa, Dr. ****** ****** Dr. Venkat Mysore (Bangalore) and Dr. Madhukumar (Bangalore).

I think only Dr. Dua is recommended on this forum, rest of them are not yet on the recommended list. I have done some research myself about these over past few weeks. I am quite impresed by Dr. Venkat Mysore's results, but he is mainly FUT but does small session FUE. Dr. Dua's clinic does FUE, but so far even though he has had some excellent results I have not been impressed with hairline creation, seems not so natural. But as you may find from some of the posts on the forum he has really done some good challenging cases like scar repair and Norwood 6 FUE grafting etc...

  11. Looks great bro, you will need some further work on our crown later on, but I don't see and beard hairs standing out and looking differnet, in all good work by Dr. Bhatti.

Wonder of beard hairs were used mainly to fill in mid scalp and some of the crown. I think you will be a happy customer in 6 more months time.

    Congratulations and good luck.

Do keep posting your updates for 1 full year.

  12. Very interesting thread for a person like myself to follow and learn, sometimes it is difficult to differentiate between real results versus false advertisement. At the end of the day it has to be said that Dr. Umar has helped many hopeless cases, but not all of them have been good results - as expected in any profession, howevevr utility of ugraft is yet to be proven.
