  1. Grafts at 10 days are part of you at that point, they would have to be surgically removed . If you had a strip you would be at the point of protecting your scar. As always I would double check with doctor.
  2. Yeah that was me last September. Been in the weight room since I was 13 and I'm 39 now so a long time. My workout group is starting to wonder about me. I think they think I am sick or something. I think I'll be close to normal workouts in a week or so. Being more cautious this time. Thanks man !!!
  3. Easing my way back in. Very slow though. Started back I think post op day 16. Did chest today and kept it light. No pain or irritation at all so far during workouts.
  4. Zup I am not sure you remember me I was there to see Dr. Ron early feb. Look great man and I had no idea you used any concealer. Look great!!!
  5. Here is a pic of my scar, pic under very bright lighting and hair pulled back. The dark hairs growing back around it make it hard to see color but it is a light pink and very thin. Getting some sensation back above it now. This is day 19. Wife says the new guys are shedding on top ....? ....
  6. For me the donor area has been the slowest to get back to normal and recipient bounces back pretty quick.. In terms of trauma the recipient is less intrusive (for a strip)... Have you talked to your doctor about it?
  7. Agree, so far I can't complain about any part of the process and every thing is far superior to my first 2 procedures... But the proof is in the growth... But I am confident it will be superior as well... Just need to be patient and let it grow.... Thanks for you comment!!!
  8. I will get one when my hair is wet... I know that prior to this procedure Janna seemed to think I had 8,000-9,000 donors available... We were estimating 2,000-2,500 for the procedure but got around 3,300 much to our surprise.... I don't remember the metric but I had something to so with the hair density per maybe CM but it was good... So hopefully I still have 5,000 or so in reserves if needed....
  9. On day 2 as I was leaving SMG I was carefully placing on my hat... Dr. Ron Shapiro actually helped me and I point blank asked him how difficult it would be (and this was on day 2) to dislodge a graft with my hat and he said pretty difficult... Day 7 those guys solid... I concur with everybody else, probably just a shed....
  10. My wife could barely detect the scar last night, the pics didn't show anything... She said the color is fading too... It's soft pink.. I am going to take some post shower tonight.... I've been married to my wife for 18 years and this is her 3rd time to go through this with me and she says the scar line isn't even comparable... And my last scar was not bad... Janna said I could pull off a 2 guard.... I think my hair is pretty dense (in safe zone) so I think that helps too... Recipient obviously way to early but lot's of grafts in the hairline are growing... I am sure they will shed but still reassuring... This is day 17....
  11. I know I will too... It's addicting and really is undetectable if you don't go overboard.... I am using the Dermmatch that I bought at SMG to fill in little spots on my beard...
  12. Post op day 16 and continue to go through the same ritual... Hat all day at work and as soon as I get home wife inspects the scar and recipient area.. Shedding in the recipient and my wife can not believe how my scar is healing... Since this is my 3rd time she has seen the work of 3 clinics and she does not think this one will be detectable... It's already losing it's color as well... I'll get a picture tonight...
  13. Awesome results. How long does an SMP treatment last ?
  14. On the Toppix you can use very soon after procedure... Once the skin has healed... I asked directly if it can hurt growth and it doesn't... Seems hair is pretty resilient to everything except DHT... I was advised just to wash it out before I went to bed... I am just at day 15 so I haven't used any yet and a had to shave some of the recipient so I don't have much to cling to... But once you get a base or infrastructure to work with it's pretty amazing and addicting.... As Dr. Shapiro told me it actually makes the hairline unnaturally thick.. I'm hoping in six months I don't need it anymore....
  15. Will do for sure!!! Wish I could fast forward a few months but it will come... Thanks
  16. But I get your concern... It is in our nature... I only used a cup to shower with through day 10 and I worry if I was to gentle (if that is even possible)... I am OCD so I will find something to worry about....
  17. There is a study that day 9 you can pull the hair out and the follicle remains... From what I have read and what my doctor is day 10 and beyond you can resume normal hair care... Most of the hairs from this point shed, then rest and begin regrowing around month 3... So day 11 you are safe..
  18. Joe, Just checked out your website... Looks great and can't to see it as you progress with it... Thanks again for the feedback...
  19. I just started but I would agree that you probably wouldn't metabolize it all...Maybe if you were able to spread out the doses throughout day... I'm 2 weeks in to a standard dose with MSM... Some stuff I picked up from reading up on Spex....
  20. I can't wait to see it grow out... I've never had much of a hairline unless you go back to 1994... So excited about that!!! Thanks
  21. Thanks for your message... For some reason I am having emotional issues this go around... Maybe just because I am getting older and don't feel as invincible as I did the first couple times... My confidence is really low... First day back in the gym so hopefully that helps... I do feel however beyond any doubt that I had a best in class doctor and team work on me... I am excited about the outcome... So many details I didn't mention in the write up like the stylist cutting my hair, inspecting the grafts, being gentle and giving great advice... When in surgery I was talking about the forums... Dr. Ron specifically mentioned you but referred to you as Jotronic... I told him I was aware of you and had read many of your post... He has just mentioned hadn't seen messages in awhile... Could be the new handle... Thanks again!
  22. Thank you Garageland!!! Sitting in that chair all day is a walk in the park compared to the wait time!!!
  23. This is my 3rd but spaced over 16 years... 1200 grafts 16 years ago, 1500 8 years ago and 3200+ 2 weeks ago....
  24. I was told cardio after week one and after week 2 slowly back on weights... Today is day 15 and I will be doing a very low key bicep and tricep workout... Have to be careful on lifts that engage traps or direct contact with scar... Bench press, shrugs, dead lifts are things to avoid... With anything I would always ask your doctor first... But Dr. Shapiro said I could ease into starting today... Day 15....
  25. Thanks everybody... I will post each step of the way... Fortune11, my first procedure was with Tulsa Hair Transplant Center about 15 years ago... I don't think a doctor was ever even in the room but results were decent... it was 1200 grafts... about 8 or so years later I went to Dr Alan Bauman in South Florida... I would say around 1500 grafts not sure but didn't get a very good feeling about the procedure... It was rushed and cosmetically I felt I had better results from Tulsa... Very excited about the outcome with this procedure as it is more than both combined... Day 15!!! Each night I have my wife inspect everything and she was struggling to find my scar... I was pretty pleased with that!!!!
