In general it seems like DHT method is the way to go... It just makes sense to me, and any advantage you can have of having better growth I think you should take.

I know everyone says not to focus on the technique, only the results, but still...

My one question: for places that do DHT, how do they/can they tell if it is a 1, 2, 3, etc in such a short turn around? I feel like the communication between the team needs to be executed flawlessly

Dr. Sethi & Dr. Bansal  Explain that they use a 5x Carl Zeiss loupes for graft extraction in this below thread

I don't know how that compares to microscopes for singling out grafts ?

Maybe someone else can chime in on that ?

Joe Tillman does an interesting job here of making a strong case for why you need to use microscopes to do it right

  2. No its not a fiber its like a mini DIY SMP touch up that thickens thinning areas been using it like everyday for as long as i can remember  without it I would of been forced to have a HT long ago stuff works good enough to get me by still

It blends very well you can't notice it

I have some DermMatch sitting right here i never use it this stuff just works better for me

For $9 what do you got  to loose

temple points are definitely one of the harder if not the hardest part to design very well. The angle of the hairs lay almost parallel to the scalp and the hairs are usually single graft units. I remember asking dr diep during my consult about reinforcing my temple points and he said that he would not add to them until they were gone. His reason was that if he added to them it would simply kill off the existing hairs in the area and replace them with transplanted hairs. I also asked Hasson about them and he said he would not reinforce or add to them for me because it does not look natural with coarse/wavy hair. IMO even slight temple points make a decent cosmetic change

Looks like they did a nice job on this guy his temple hair angles look natural to me and I don't think I've ever seen such a massive amount of growth in just 5 months pretty impressive. Seems there might really be something to this (DHT) Direct Hair Transplantation Technique?

Is that a technique other doctors are also doing ?

wow, this result looks great and it came in very fast. The temple points add to the youthfulness of the hairline

Personalty I think temples are a super important part of a successful HT.  When looking around at before and after pictures from most doctors it can actually be hard to find any good examples seems only a small percent of doctors are willing to take them on most shy away from them it takes some skill to do them right.  I've even had a few clinics that I was seriously considering until I asked for some examples of there temple work and at that point never heard back from them again.

That said I just did a video consult with Dr. Bansal last night on Skype. I've done quite a few consults with some of the top clinics but this had to be one of the best if not the very best consult I've ever done she really took the time to explain everything to me and seemed to have a really good knowledge of what needs to be done and not to be done when it comes to accomplishing a nature looking  hairline and temples I was left with a feeling that I would be in good hands with her for sure. She said she will be visiting my state of Florida next month family vacation  and would meet up with me for a inperson consult.

Anyways heres a video I found of her explaining pros and cons of different HT techniques and goes on the explain how she feels proper temple points should be done

Honestly in your situation the main surgeons I would be considering are Erdogan or Hasson/Wong if you were inclined to go for FUT. Knowing your situation it is an issue of coverage, no one else is doing the huge FUE graft numbers I think best suit you in one go. I'd also definitely look at Lorenzo for FUE although I think he maxes out at 3000 grafts for one procedure, but you could do the crown/midscalp and hairline spread 6 months apart. He also has many cases on below average donors with people requiring extensive coverage.

Sucks I'd really  like to get this done already but after being shot down by Erdogan I still can't seem to settle on an alternative that I'm  feeling confident enough with to actually use. I feel almost paralyzed   like information over load here trying to weight all the facts hard to know whats real and whats not. Really not feeling confident enough to move forward with Rahal just not seeing enough resent patient results

What do you think about Cinik or Yaman been seeing some good results?

Maybe get the bulk of the work done there cheap  to risky ?

Both among top-tier clinics, particularly Rahal one of the best hairline surgeons in the world still. Neither has a lot of patient posted results at the moment which is the particular drawback I'd personally consider.

Jean who do you think would be a safe alternative to ASMED to get the bulk FUE  and temple point work done then If needed refinement I could always go to like Rahal  or Kese

    Hello dr. Yaman,

    Very nice results!

I couldn't find info on your site regarding the extraction technique you mentioned. Can you please provide a link?

    Thank you

The link has always been up there right below the original posted video

i'm looking at rahal myself, in addition to others, but idk there's something holding me back. i just don't see enough patient reviews and detailed talk about his procedures, like you do with others. also, there's been a rep chasing me down for a consultation since visiting the site, (where as another doctor i've consulted with, straight up said we don't need your money lol). i know he's considered world renowned and recommended on here, but i just don't know, i've read mixed reviews.

You took the works right out my mouth hanging back waiting looking for more solid patient reviews or a better option

Sounds like he's just trying to steer you in the right direction. I had gotten in touch with Rahal's clinic and spoke to his rep when I was researching doctors for my first procedure, but as I dug a little deeper I had started to see enough negative results/experiences that I ultimately eliminated him from my list. Again, good luck in your search.

Since21 Could you possibly elaborate a bit on which negative results/experiences ultimately turned you off from him ?

  10. I specifically asked Rahal's people if there quoted prices are in Canadian or USD and was told the prices are in Canadian dollars and that I  do get the added bonus of the excellent US to Canadian dollar exchange rate along with $500 towards my travel along with a two nights stay at the guesthouse free of charge.

I also spoke with Hasson & Wong  and was told there listed prices are in USD so no additional exchange rate bonus.
