  1. Yes i understand. I am planning to start with Fin soon. I hope it helps me stabilize/grow my hair. Btw i have seen your photos. You seem to have good hair and started the meds at the right time. Good luck.
  2. @Profoam. Thanks for your response. That is useful. Could you look into the pics in my profile and from your experience tell if my situation would improve with meds (Propecia + Min). (I guess i am looking for a push to start the meds at the earliest. So i keep asking this question to everyone:)) Thanks a lot.
  3. Thanks for your suggestions. Yes its a correct observation that i have been suffering from Dandruff. I try coconut oil treatments twice every week. But its not helping at the moment. Fin: I am planning to take a 1mg Fin tablet every alternate day atleast for a few month and increase the dosage to 1mg daily. I will also start using Rogaine Foam starting with once every day. Do you think that will stabilize/promote hair regrowth to my type of hair loss (diffused hairloss?)
  4. Thanks for the response. Wow 10 years without sides (i assume). Happy for you.
  5. I want to start with fin + rogaine foam now. fin: i want to start with fin alternatively so that my body slowly get used to it, and may be one day increase it once daily dosage. What do you guys think. Is it a good way to start wtih. Rogaine foam: I have long hair. Any tips of applying foam on long hair. More importantly i heard of unwanted facial hair growth due to foam. Has any one experienced such sides. I hope these help me as my top seems to have thinned a LOT. (i have uploaded pics in my first post)
  6. @Spellis I believe you had your HT done to fill in those gaps in your hairline/frontal 1/3 to increase the density of the hair in that region. 1. I just wanted to ask you if the issue of shockloss to the native hair in that region is discussed. 2. Are you on meds?
  7. Wow 17 years and no sides? You must be one of the longest users of Fin (more importantly without sides). 1. Have you been able to maintain your hair/regrowth? 2. Which brand of Fin and Minoxidl you are using? It would be helpful if you answer my questions, as i am trying to start with the meds myself. Thanks
  8. Doctor would you be so kind to take a look at the pictures in my profile (if its possible) and give your opinion if i might respond as good to meds. Thanks
  9. Undoubtedly one of the best HT results i have seen. I was just wondering, the midscalp region which was not transplanted also looks thick after the transplant. Can we attribute to medications? Was he on meds? Or was it only an illusion as the preop pics were wet.
  10. Nice result. I believe the density would only increase with time. Was there any shockloss to his native hair in the recepient area? How long was the patient on meds before the surgery?
  11. @Profoam: Wow 17 years on Fin and Rogaine and no sides. You are lucky man. How did it help you with regards to maintaining your hair/regrowth? I would be really interested to know. As longterm Med users are hard to find . Do you Rogaine Foam would be as effective as the liquid? What are using by the way?
  12. FUT: I have a basic question about the FUT scar. Does the scar become wider/thinnner in time? Or would it mostly remain the same in width? Or does it vary from person? FUE: Doesnot the donor appear thinner after it is lets say overharvested? Sorry for my basic questions. I am just trying to understand the pros and cons of FUE and FUT
  13. Dr. Parsley: Excellent result from Meds. If we can atleast maintain our hair for about 10 years with the meds (regrow like in this case would be bonus), its a great thing. 1. Dr has any of your patients been on the foam once a day. Is it also as effective? 2. The guy has responded to 0x25mg of propecia? That would also decrease the chances of sideeffects i think. Dr any ideas on the effectiveness of sawpalmetto? Thanks
  14. Hi optimist800, I dont drink, smoke. My diet seems to be fine. I dont eat a lot of sugars aswell. I hail from India, so wheat is a staple food. I dont know how much difference it makes though.
  15. Thanks guys for your responses/suggestions/views. Thats a little annoyying. As you can see from my pics, its already see through on the top particularly in the vertex area and still i cannot go for HT. But i think i get your point. If i understand you correctly, you are not suggesting a HT (even though my scalp on top is see through) as it might do more harm than good (danger of permanent shockloss to the native hair in the recipient area?). I have seen a few HTs on diffused thinning patients, which have come out very good. But not all are as lucky. 1. I would start on Rogaine foam 5% at the earliest. 2. I am a little scared of starting propecia after going through all those horror storied on the internet. I believe i just need a little push to start taking propecia aswell. 3. I would be happy if i am able to maintain the hair i have at the moment for the next 10 years may be (greedy:)). Any regrowth/thickening for me is a bonus. Do you guys think i might achieve that with fin+rogaine foam? Once again thanks a lot guys. I appreciate.
  16. Hi Rajjayukdtht, I should admit. I havenot done any extensive research on the differences between FUT and FUE (apart from looking at some FUT and FUE results). I was planning on that research once i get suggestions from the members here if i could go with a HT at this stage or if it is too early (schockloss due to diffused thinning?). Or if medications (i am only on sawpalmetto 320 mg at the moment, planning to add Rogaine 5% foam to the regime) alone would help my hairloss. Can you look at the pictures i have posted in my first post and judge from your experience if i am a candidate for HT. ps: I am planning to contact Dr Radha aswell.
  17. @Spanker, I have uploaded a few pictures in my profile, Can you have a look at my donor and may be take a wild guess if my donor is also as good (for a future HT). Interesting and great result. Interesting because i am suffering from a similar hair loss (i could be in a little advanced stage). As soon we talk of a transplant to fill in those emtpy spaces for diffused thinner, we talk about shock loss in the recipient area and that it might lead the HT not bringing any positive effect (with regards to density) at the end. Wondering how this HT was done without any shockloss. I presume there was no shockloss in the recipient area as the hair on top looks so thick after HT. May be Dr Arocha/his representative could throw us more light on that.
  18. Agree with that. Too good to be true. Having said that, this guy must be over the moon
  19. Thanks KRL and MusoInOz So fin seems to be the only way. ok. 1. Rogaine foam: What about Rogaine foam. Has anyone with long hair had problems applying the foam? 2. Sawpalmetto: Is there anyone who has been using Saw palmetto and had some success? 3. How does my donor hair look like. Is it good for any HT? and does anyone suggest a HT for me to fill in those gaps in the vertex area (or on the top) Srik
  20. Hi This is my first post. I have been following the network for a while now. I must say Kudos. Lots of information here. Coming to me, i am 34 yrs old. I have been losing hair for the past 5 years, i believe. I cannot define myself on NW scale as i believe i have diffuse thinning all over the top. Sides and Back seem to be fine? Hair loss is driving me crazy. I keep thinking about it all the time, avoid photos, cannot concentrate on work. HT: I am contemplating to have a HT with Dr Radha (to fill in those areas where scalp is greatly visible) as: 1. She is recommended here 2. I come from the same region as well 3. Money is also a factor. I think HT is a bad idea at this stage as i have lots (can i still say it?) of native hair. So i have to wait until i lose more hair:(. ? Meds: (To stop hair loss and may be regrow some of it?) 1. I am scared of the sides of Finasteride, hence was not able to start with it. I am taking Sawpalmetto (320 mg daily) since about a month. 2. I visited a dermatologist recently and she suggested Rogaine. I havent started it yet. 3. I am in Germany. Any one from the same region using Nizoral?. By the way what is this shampoo good for. For consmetic appearance? I am attaching a few photos. I apologize for the clarity (or for the lack of it). I hate to take pictures of my hair. I will try to upload more photos later. Could you please look into the photos and suggest me what i could do. Thanks Srik
