  1. Does PRP increase the yield of a hair transplant? What are the benefits of PRP in hair transplants?
  2. I'm considering dr demirsoy as my ht surgeon, but I have not seen many hairline examples of his work. I want to restore my hairline as well as my temporal angle especially my right side because it has receded more than my left side. I'm having a hard time finding up close pictures of hairlines from dr demirsoy. I have seen very up close hairlines with combs pulling back the hair and fully exposing the work on the hairline from other doctors. I really want to be sure I am making the right decision. Can anyone her post a close up of a hairline that they got from dr. demirsoy? Thanks
  3. What things have you heard about Dognanay? I am considering him as a possibility.
  4. I've seen many things comparing transection rates between fut and fue. Some say fut has 1-2% transection rates and fue has 5-10% transection rates. There seems to be a lack of information. I know it varies from doctor to doctor but there must be some generalities. Is there anyone out there that has a study or something that will help give some idea of the transection rates? I really want fue, but I have somewhat curly hair and I think that could make the transection rate worse. This is a major consideration since there is only so much a person has in their donor area and I wouldn't want any to go to waste. I really don't want to have the scar but if there is a large difference between the transection rates, I'll probably end up going the fut route.
  5. I'm trying to get an idea of Dr. Demirsoy's hair counts of his results? Does anyone have a hair count from an operation they had with dr. Demirsoy? I'm trying to get an idea of his yields, thanks.
  6. I wonder if this is the situation for all doctors? I always hear that FUT is safer for the grafts but i wonder how much of a difference it really makes? I wouldn't want any of my donor grafts to be wasted as there is a very finite number of permanent grafts one has.
  7. How much of a difference does it make between doctors that do their own insertions of the hair grafts vs doctors that allow an assistant to insert the grafts for them. One of my main concerns is graft yields. I would, obviously, think that doctors that do their own insertions and extractions would have the best results. I was researching a particular doctor until I found out that he only does the extractions and the assistants do the insertions. This worries me a bit. Can people list doctors that are known to do both the extractions and insertions? I feel uneasy having assistants doing the insertions cause it seems like there would be more variability in quality. Thanks
  8. how much of a difference is there between fut and fue when it comes to graft survival? I want to get fut but I don't want to give up my limited donor area up to dead grafts as they are finite. I am considering getting fue with demirsoy, but I have not seen much hair counts from him so I don't have any idea of what his graft survival rate is.
  9. My only concern is that such high density hairlines, like the ones from his site, may be too much considering possible future hair loss. That kind of density achieved at the hairline would seem to deplete the donor area. That is why I am sort of leaning to Dr. Radha as she seems more conservative and cautious of future hair loss.
  10. I've read that one of the disadvantages to FUE is that a larger area is needed to extract the graphs from. This could be an issue if the safe zone is not certain and some of the graphs would be outside the safe zone With the FUT method, the area where the graphs are extracted are more concentrated and therefore have a lower chance of being outside the safe zone. That's what I 've read anyway. Is it better to go with FUT to prevent possibly harvesting outside the safe zone with FUE? This would concern someone with a possible nor wood 6 or 7 balding pattern.
  11. I have pretty think, coarse hair. Not the density, but the actual diameter of the hairs. Would this mean that I could get more coverage with a smaller number of graphs?
  12. What is better for preserving more graphs for possible future hair transplant operations? I've read that the strip method is better done first then perhaps the FUE method after for future hair transplants if necessary. What technique safer/better in preserving the donor area if one was to want more hair transplants after the first one?
  13. I've seen many good results with doctor Radha and her FUT work, but I have only seen a couple of FUE examples for her. The first post I saw of her doing a FUE was sometime in 2011 or something so she does have at least a few years of experience with it. I'm considering getting FUE done by Dr. Radha, but I'm not sure. I was considering Dr, Bhatti but I think his hairlines are a little unnatural looking. Her artistic skill would be similar, just the handling of the graphs and their survival is questionable. I was also considering Dr. Dermisoy for FUE as I have seen several posts of positive experiences with him. Any other docs in India you would recommend?
  14. Hey thanks, but what about the density? I would think that a low density may not be good for FUT because the strip would contain less graphs. FUE, on the other hand, could capture the graphs exactly where they are. Does density play a role when deciding FUE or FUT?
  15. I had the same reaction to his gallery yet almost no rave reviews from this site? And he is not recommended by this site? Considering his price/quality, this is unexpected. Makes me hesitant to book an appointment...
  16. I don't know about Bhatti's results. He seems to do well with men that are nor wood 5 or 6, but the ones that are nor wood 2 or 3 where he restores the hairline to a more youthful place, seems a little off. The transition of the hairline seems too rough. They become dense too quickly.I don't really know how to explain it, just a little unnatural.
  17. So how did everything go? Are you happy with the results? Is the scar turning out fine?
  18. I am seriously considering Dr. Pong from Thailand mostly due to his impressive before and after pictures on his website. The hairlines look really good. There are also several posts of positive experiences with him. However, his media presence seems to be lacking. There is not a lot of talk about Dr. Pong despite his many successful ht surgeries. It worries me. Could he be too good to be true? I would think that the prices he offers combined with the results of his patients, that his name would be mentioned more often. Also the fact that he isn't one of the recommended doctors on here worries me. Have any of you had positive experiences with Dr. Pong? I need to make a decision soon about which doctor I choose, any info would help, thanks.
  19. If I were to get a HT overseas, would I have to stay until the sutures are removed? I heard that it takes 7-10 days for the sutures to be removed and I'm not sure if I could stay overseas that long. Also, when is the best time to remove the sutures? I'm guessing that the longer that they are in, the more likely the scar would look better as the cut would be more stable and less likely to stretch. I wouldn't want to make the doctor remove the sutures too early just because I need to get back home. Could my general physician remove the sutures? Does it matter that he isn't a ht surgeon? Would it just be better for me to remove the sutures with my ht doctor? If anyone has used a local doctor to remove the sutures after returning home, how did it turn out and how much did it cost? Thanks
  20. I'm Italian and I have very coarse, wavy, lower density hair (not sure exactly about the density). What would be the best technique to use for HT? Thanks.
  21. Who are the best doctors for restoring the hairline? I like the before and after pictures of Dr. Pong in Thailand of his work on hairlines. I'm considering Dr. Bhatti from India, but I'm not sure how good he is with hairlines. Anyone else know of good doctors that do good work on hairlines? Especially in India, Turkey, or Thailand? Thanks
