Good luck. I hope it works out fantastic for you.

Thanks mate. Me too.

Yes. I think the swelling is largely due to the anaesthetic? My surgery was over three days so maybe that contributed to it? Swelling was pretty bad at the end of it....i got quizzed by security at Sydney airport wearing a bandanna & dark glasses lol.

Everything cosmetic is a risk & this is a decision that only you can make! I have been in a similar situation & do believe you have to make a decision to move forward with your life.
How many options do you have?
1. More Hts inc bodyhair.
2. Shave/Scar repair.
3. Remove plugs/Scar repair.
4. Wig/Hairpiece.
Whatever you decide i would recommend you consult with the best in the relevant field.
I cant think of anything else.
Please make a decision & implement it and then move on for the sake of your own physical & mental health. You cannot ask anyone else to make this decision for you.
Good luck.

Ok Sam.
That is fantastic that you have now made a decision. It is time for you to implement this decision and move on & enjoy the rest of your life.
All the best.

Some of you may be familiar with my story that I first posted on this site over a year ago.
http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/180455-shock-loss-warning-against-frequent-procedures.html
This week I had a HT to try and resolve this problem & also repair my strip scar at the same time. I have had 1000 grafts to infill my frontal third & 500 grafts using beard/neck hair into the strip scar.
Fingers crossed for a good result. If I didn't try I don't think I would have ever got the monkey off my back.
With my procedure this week the surgeon's attention to detail was amazing in comparison to what I have experienced before. Although it will obviously be some time before I know the full results I am so very grateful to him & will never forget his efforts.

If you have lots of $$$ id probably finish the game with a world class surgeon that can utilize bht effectively. There are probably a few in the world that you could research via a google search.
Shaving & then skin treatments are possible & finally i wouldnt discount either a wig or hairpiece as results are instant & can look great these days.
There are always options.
Take care.

Nice results Doctor but in your experience how many treatments does this patient need & how long do you estimate between each treatment?
In my research that this is a short time fix meaning the gains drop off from month 8 to 14 so having this done every 14 months would be costly & not really beneficial to the blue collar workers out there only the elite.
Not sure what you are referring to here Ontop? Finasteride and Minoxidil are daily treatments (recommended for life) & quite affordable.

Cheers Matt.
I received pre op instructions to avoid a host of items including alcohol. I travelled interstate for surgery so flights etc, felt great to get home & was nice to relax with 1 or 2 drinks.
Great to hear you are happy with your results.

I am hardly an alcoholic, nor a daily/binge drinker.
My question was whether it is ok to have 1 or 2 glasses of wine the night AFTER surgery.
-
Why dont you just shave it Sam? Visit sly bald guys forum.

Great response Dr Bloxham.
Best to remain conservative with the long term in mind. That existing hairline looks fine to me too.
-
Ok Dr Bloxham. Will do. Cheers

Thanks everyone. I had a couple small glasses of white wine. Have needed very little pain medication. Cheers

I finished up a procedure yesterday. Feeling like a glass or two of wine. I didn't think to ask my doc. Is this ok?

Fantastic result mate. As good as a HT can be. Congracts....

Are you on PC, Laptop or Tablet? Click on the person you want to msg. Send private msg is an option. Might be harder on a phone...

Ok, Thanks Cathair. Best wishes for a great outcome.
A lot of Aussie posters head overseas for their procedures but I like to think a few Australian Dr's are up to international standards. I am having work done myself in Sydney next week.
Cheers.

Look forward to seeing your results Dutchie.
All my best wishes for a great outcome.

If you go with a top Dr and have the $$$, my research shows that BHT can be a viable option when head donor hair is expired. I believe that typically the crown responds well to chest, beard or in other words BHT.
Surgeon selection is the most important thing! Going with the wrong Dr can cause a lot of damage & heartache. Pay the extra $$$ & go with the best...

You have received some great advice on this thread. Surgery is not without its risks. I think you should be happy with a great head of hair...

I had similar with my 2nd strip procedure. Improved quite quickly & within 6 months was almost unnoticeable using a number 3 guide. Im confident you will be fine.
