  1. I have to admit, I was amazed myself last night after I had shaved it down to a zero. I didn't expect it to look this good.

I had the FUE done in late June this year, it did improve it significantly. My surgeon gave me no guarantee's, he said scars can yield 20% to 90% and are unpredictable. I had the SMP done over three sessions from Mid October to Mid November.

  2. Bit the bullet tonight & clipped down to a number zero!

I have enough hair to give a great buzzed look from the front & the work I have had done on the strip scar has proven amazing. I have 500 FUE beard hair into the strip scar & also some SMP. At a number zero it is almost undetectable, just the faintest of lines and it was a nasty scar.

  3. Actually if Dr Tsuji's team is successful & the chances look very good it will be the end of the problem surrounding limited donor hair. Japan's regulations mean that treatment will occur there years before it can in the West. The technique will also require implantation to be done by a surgeon or tech's so I wonder if Japan have great surgeons or if some from the West would be interested in relocating? Here is a link to probably the most encouraging hair loss treatment interview ever.

  4. Obviously good to see that Sheisedo is progressing with Phase 2 in Japan but to get this treatment approved in the West it is going to need a successful Phase 3 and submission to the FDA.

Seriously, if this product was that good wouldn't Replicel be progressing with their own trials to fast track this? The latest excuse is a lack of funds but if the product was that good I just can't see any issues with a lack of funds. There is a huge financial prize at the end for a successful treatment.

    Thoughts?

  5. Bill, there are definitely instances where a person who has undergone HT's may still be better off shaving down in the end.

For some, the outcome of surgery has not worked out as well as hoped. Others may be caught up in the game of chasing shock loss all over there heads & after multiple procedures and heartache just want to put the nightmare behind them.

Where transplants have succeeded in restoring a nice hairline, shaving down can give the appearance of a desired buzz cut - perhaps akin to a SMP result minus the ink. It is definitely an option and I have seen & experienced firsthand that a buzzcut after a HT can be much better than anticipated.
