Are you naturally greying?
Sorry Melvin, haven’t logged in forever. A little, mostly just above the ears, but for may age it’s not bad 😂

It’s not really rocket science. Increasing testosterone will mean more testosterone byproducts, namely DHT, which destroys hair follicles which are sensitive to it. Taking DHT blockers will to a certain extent help to block this but it all depends on your individual sensitivity to DHT. Someone else’s experience isn’t going to be what happens to you and your experience isn’t going to be what happens to someone else.

I’ve used protein powder daily for probably 2 decades and in that time have periodically been on and off creatine, can’t say either have affected me for what it’s worth

It’s officially one year today! What a rollercoaster year. I’m happy with my results and my wife says the difference is night and day.
But I will admit that I don’t think this will be my last HT. My donor looks good, my beard looks untouched. I think one more HT focusing 100% in the crown and part line would complete the restoration. Right now I’m about 90% there, hair greed has set in.
I just started Xyon so I don’t know if this will get me over the edge, only time will tell. Currently, I don’t take more than 5 minutes to style my hair. I just use the sea salt spray and and I’m good. I will still use some fibers for going out to dinner, or special occasions. I don’t have anything in these pictures besides sea salt spray.
Happy New Years, this year will be even better. We have big plans for our community in 2023.
A little clip from my entire journey.
Looking insanely good bro! Congrats! Long journey but we’ll worth it

How the hell did I miss this. This is easily my top 3 favorite result of ALL time.
Thanks bro, I was lurking the other day (for some reason I get logged out all the time so I couldn’t comment) but your hair looks awesome these days, that last prosecute has made a massive difference, you look better now without fibres than you did when you were wearing them before

I added topical dut 1x per week to my regime and had zero shed. Hair generally feels thicker but it’s shorter so may be down to the length

In all seriousness, looks amazing. Have you been on Fin for the last decade @Aftermath? And did dr Hasson ever state how many grafts might be left in the bank?
Yes, been on fin since 2007. I’m done with strip but probably a couple of thousand FUE grafts if needed but I’m hoping they won’t be

It’s been a while, was looking through some pics on my phone, some I’ve posted, some I haven’t, but thought I’d demonstrate different styles, and also my hair is a lot shorter lately (way easier) so I thought I’d post some from right now too.
first 3 are as far as I got when I attempted to grow it… it got way too hard to cope with, Mainly due to the time it took to dry, and it was just at an in between stage forever, imo it looked terrible 😂
Next 3 are combed forward, never left the house like this, was just experimenting
next 2 centre parting was just taking the piss since it was a style I had in my school days!
Only took the next one from one angle but it was with it all slicked back as opposed to side parting
next few are variants of the classic side part cut I’ve had on and off for years
then one with hair wet and combed back
next is just one pic I took when I had it very short (around an 8 guard and a little longer at the very front)
Then when I had my hair cut a little shorter than currently but longer than the pic above
the final 3 are my current style where I took it shorter on the sides but kept a little length on top

Look like there was some growth but lacking density...
Not a disaster but I would call it a "subpar" result.
Were you operated on by Bessam or Nikofer Farjo ?
Also I remember there was a guy on youtube with minimal hairloss who got a bad result from Farjo. He made a video about his case.
Bessam, the thing that disappointed me the most was at the year review he told me that’s as far as I can go and to speak to mick about using topik. At the time I was mildly happy just because I had some form of hairline and I didn’t know much about HT’s but thankfully after some research I found dr Hasson and his team and realised there was hope. It could’ve been worse, the op was very conservative and about half the grafts grew I’d guess so not like some of the turkey horror stories, but then I was paying top tier prices so it’s not unreasonable to have expected more but in all honesty I didn’t chase them up as I wanted to go to H&W so that may have offered a touch up had I pushed it

Hasson doesn't always deliver but this time I gotta say it was a 10/10. Excellent
What happened during with first surgery with Dr. Farjo ? Did you get bad results ?
The image below is the final results (12 months) from farjo for the frontal 1/3 so you tell me

Had my main surgery in 2008, crown later on and modified the hairline to make it straighter more recently, but everything from then is still there almost 15 years later. So to say there’s no proof it lasts… there are numerous cases on here where it’s lasted

He’s also had bad botox! Needs a couple of shots lower down where his eye brows are arching to even it out a bit

When I was in Canada following my H&W op I actually bought protein shakes from a local shop and had them everyday, so in my experience it’s fine

I really like this result, especially with the salt and pepper look. For a 1 pass the density is pretty good too @Melvin- Moderator reminds me of Timothy Olyphant in that interview you showed me a little

Been taking it since 2007, never had a shedding phase and it’s working well for me

I completely agree with the surgeons that refused you, and agree you need meds for at least a year and reassess. You could be a candidate if you respond well, but right now you’re not a candidate and would end up with a terrible result and an even more thinned out donor area, I marked up below where the clinics are talking about with the miniaturisation, which is most the donor area. The back looks fairly okay, but you can’t take from the sides at the moment IMO… and that’s 2/3 of your donor area not usable.

Looking good bro 👌 congrats

I also hope most of the grafts survive. Only time will tell. But if they don't, it won't be from me doing anything wrong. I'm following post op advice to the letter.
What did rahal (😜) say about graft survival with the amount per square cm?
Anyone here have 3 FUT transplant's?

yeah, the last one was 2015 I think. First one was 2006ish. Just wanted to get where I wanted to be. Almost 10 years since the last one and I’m pretty happy still
