  1. I honestly don't like the criteria of a "natural" hairline? Is it like a really high hairline that still looks like you're balding? Because if Hesediel's hairline is considered unnatural then I would go with unnatural all the way. I'm not gonna get an HT only to stay with a high hairline because it's the "natural" thing to do. Like if I was not going bald, i'd have a high hairline? no I would not, therefore it's not natural.
  2. Lol I am going to stay out of this e-fight this time. I am going to say that the hairline looks great, it's going to look better as it gets fuller.
  3. How many centimeters would a surgeon allow a NW4 to lower?
  4. Oh, I meant that other thing, what Jahoda, Tsuji Lab and the Chinese from Nanfang Hospital of Southern Medical University in China, the Chinese apparently solved the problem to DP culturing. Last year Jahoda said he could grow hair on human skin, but he failed because it wasn't cosmetically acceptable human hair. Now apparently the Chinese succeeded where Jahoda failed. I'm not sure what it is, maybe I am talking about injections or something, it's not Histogen. I think it's creating hair follicles from scratch or something. Maybe it's just wishful thinking but i'd like to this this is 10 years away.
  5. When I was 19 I went to Bosley for a FUT, I was NW3. They prescribed me with Propecia and told me to use Rogaine for 1 year, then I came back with thicker hair after 8 months. They were gonna operate me with 800 grafts on the hairline. I backed out because I didn't even have the money for it lol. I am happy I didn't do it to be honest, not because of horror stories or because I was afraid of Bosley, but because of eventually finding out about affordable FUE prices from foreign doctors who do good work. I always preferred FUE I just couldn't afford $24-30k dollars and still can't. I woulda done 800 graft FUT for like $6k. Looking back and knowing you can get like 3500 FUE grafts for around $12k with Dr Doganay or Dr Erdogan, it is silly to spend that much on FUT for such low amount of grafts. I know I started babbling towards the end, sorry. The point is if you stabilize your hair loss and you are moderately high NW, yeah, I think a good surgeon would do work on you despite your age. But the key is stabilizing your hair loss if you are that young, that high a NW scale, in order to be a candidate. Worst case is they tell you to come back when you are 21 maybe?
  6. I didn't know it was only 30,000 grafts. Sure that's a lot, but I thought it would be a lot more. I guess 10 years from now 30,000 grafts will be doable in several procedures when hair cloning comes out. Sucks the average person only has 5,000-6,000 grafts. I wish I had at least 8k.
  7. I think an area that large, depending on hair characteristics, would need roughly 2500 grafts for good density and I have seen a lot of results that get even 3500 in the front. 1500 in the front, from what I have seen over the years on different forums, is for those who want something conservative or for low NW's just looking to add density to an already decent hairline. It looks like 2500 grafts in the front would have been good for your hair loss, IMHO. And yeah they do look sparse.
  8. I admit they are expensive for me as well, but compared to North American surgeons, they're HT's are a bargain and that's not a knock on NA hair surgeons. But from what I have seen from Dr. Doganay and Dr. Erdogan, they give 100% great quality HT's. I think for 3000 grafts you'd pay $10k, compare that to the $7-10 dollar per FUE graft from other doctors, while also comparing their results, it's a no brainer if you can afford it you should go with Doganay or Erdogan. They give the best results I have seen especially for NW2-4. Dr. Maral seems to be getting a bad rap from only one member here, it's very unfortunate for that member and I wish him the best, but every other member seems to have had a positive experience with him.
  9. Several questions. Does this 1st month shock loss happens to everyone who gets a HT? Does every one go through the ugly ducking phase? What if you have been on fin or dut and minoxidil for several years before the HT, would the transplanted hairs still fall out. Is it possible that the transplanted hairs never even fall, they would just grow post op? Thanks any answers.
  10. You could possibly be NW14 in 4-6 years as well. Get on 0.5mg x 5 (2.5mg) of dutasteride(Avodart) a day starting today, and 1ML of 15% minoxidil 2 times a day. Disclaimer: sarcasm.
  11. Looks like a NW3 towards NW4 diffused. You will be NW7 horseshoe pattern in 2-3 years. Sorry...
  12. "FUT is also significantly cheaper than FUE" I understand that this is just one of your reasons, but some of the best FUE doctors I have seen charge $2.75-3.50 per graft. I am talking about Dr Doganay an Dr Erdogan from Turkey. They truly are some of the best, I can not afford them but if money was not issue I would seriously go to one of these doctors. With 4000 grafts with Doganay I think you are looking at around $12,000, as opposed to $28,000-$40,000 from North American/European doctors.
  13. The best HT's I see regularly are those NW2-3 patients of Dr Erdogan that go back to basically being a full, thick NW1, or at least appear to be. But then again their hair loss was minimal to "medium" to begin with. Still it shouldn't be discredited just because they were not NW5-7. I think what that shows is if you take preventive drugs really early in your hairloss days and your hairloss becomes a stable NW2-3, you can get a really good and satisfying hair transplant. However, NW5-7's can also get satisfying results, it would probably just take several HT's. Of course there's always the case when a patient wants to be conservative and it doesn't take much to satisfy them, they are happy with their HT and that is what matters. Another thing I fail to see often is patients not asking for temple corner restoration. I'm not sure if this is a donor problem, or the doctor rejecting, or the ptient just not caring it but I think temple corners make a huge difference to your face and hair styles. That's something I see missing too often but those who get the temple corners restored seem to get the best results.
  14. I think it's very impressive to achieve that kind of transformation with only 2400 grafts on an advanced norwood.
  15. If you want that look, or something as close as possible to that, then go with the 4,000 H&W recommended. 1,500 would get you no where near that I think.
  16. Wow your donor area almost looks untouched from the pictures, and your hairline looks great. I think it's going to end up being a really good HT.
  17. Dr Bhatti's hairline design looks better to me. The second set of pics is a bit too high for my liking, but that's just me. For me, a no brainer would be Dr Bhatti's design.
  18. I could be wrong but I think what he's asking is if he's a candidate for dense packing.
  19. It's of course to look better first and foremost. But I won't lie, I want to be more attractive for the females. I miss my hair!
  20. I'm young, not married and yes I enjoyed the attention from girls when I had hair I am definitely not enjoying being ignored now though So you already now what an HT would be for
  21. You have good looking hair but my honest advice is do what will make you happy, not what others would be happy about you doing. I am your age, 25, and much more advanced than you, i'm a NW3-4 depending on which doctor I ask. I'd like to have your amount of hair loss, probably many of us here would. But that's the problem, some of us are worse off than you so anything better than what we have, is good. If having more hair now will make you happy then do it now. Don't wait until you are 30-40. Like I said, you have good head of hair, but if it will make you happy and make you feel better about yourself then go for it now. On top f that you are on hair loss meds and don't ge any sides, so after the HT, you can stay on fin and keep your native hair for a long time.
  22. When I had a decent amount of hair 2 years ago, and was able to use Toppik to make it look fuller, in college I had a different girl in 4 different classes driving me home in their car, offered by them, sounds like BS but I gain nothing by lying about it. It actually makes me feel bad that I do not have grils being so friendly towards me if I don't use Toppik, now I just wear a hat. That was just Toppik and not even improving the Norwood scale hairline, just the thickness of my hair. An HT improves your hairline, lowering it and using your actual hair to give you back your good looking hair. Toppik kinda makes hair look like nappy/curly hair and I don't like that because my hair is kinda straight/wavy. But yeah, I really think a well done, thick HT would make your looks skyrocket. Like if you are a balding 5-6 on a scale of 10, an HT may get you up to an 8, IMO, especially if you are already attractive. Edit: Sorry I just noticed this was a question for people who have had HT. I haven't had one.
