FUE2014

I've read here that hair can appear less dense at 12 months than, say, 8 months because it matures as time goes on so while it becomes more managable, it also is less wiry and wavy. This makes immature HT hair look fuller than mature hair often times. This was verified by Jotronic who said it is common for the hair to appear thinner as it matures. Has anyone observed this in practice?

The grafts certainly frame your face but like you say I would expect / want a bit more density at this point, but still plenty of time for that to come (I would hope you have at least 40% more density to come in the next 6-8 months)

Sean do you have any current photos of your hair, I would imagine it must be quite dense after two procedures as like Mick says your hair wasn't in a bad shape preop

Your donar looks fairly thick still and your hair in the second photo (of your front profile) looks great, as Garageland says bright bathroom lights are not flattering and would highlight thin areas in most men I would say.

I would say 12 months would be the absolute minimum to see any noticeable thickening / regrowth, more like 18 months to 2 years to see much change from DHT inhibitors.

That FUE result from Dr Diep almost appears too good to be true (not saying it is), it's amazing how the patient got such good coverage from so few grafts....

KO, biases aside, based on the pics you have posted before I think FUE would be a good option for you as I recall you liked to keep your hair at the back quite short ?

Out of interest doc, what is your ratio of FUT : FUE patients ?

Doganay seems to be a lot more hit and miss and there was a time a few months ago where people were posting a lot of negative reviews with their experience, such as the doc dissapearing for large parts of the procedure and problems with him not speaking English ... However things may have improved, but I've still never seen a patient post out a 'knock out' result

I'm not a fan of Erdogan, he uses faaaar to many grafts and by all accounts they have shit loads of patients a day. If you're not prepared to wait for Feriduni, my second choice would be Dr Maras any day of the week.

Hi Bill , my 2 cents for what it's worth is that there are patient advisors on this site who directly benefit from their presence on the HRN. In the case of Spex, not only does he advertise in his signature the docs he is affiliated with, but he uses HRN to promote himself too

I would be very surprised if he was not somehow benefiting financially from using the HRN to regularly advertise who he works with. There therefore needs to be an equitable and consistent approach in managing all patient advisors / mentors on the HRN.

My doctor doesn't recommend or do FUE because you lose too many hairs in your limited donor supply. You might be a NW2 now but you might be a NW6 10 years from now and you can't afford to be throwing away tons of your hair like is done in FUE. My doctor was/is Dr. Paul McAndrews.

I think everyone, their dog and their wife know your doc is Paul McAndrews.

Bisango, lol, anyway I've heard loads of good stuff about Mwamba, but haven't seen many, if any, results posted by patients , Maras is excellent, there is some very extensive blogs on FUE with him on hairlossexperiences.com. PS I find bisanga's hairlines to be too conservative for my tastes, but there is no denying g he is an excellent surgeon. Have u considered Lorenzo?
