  1. "I think the point they are trying to make us that despite these forces, if proper care and handling of the grafts is taken, it doesn't affect growth or final outcome."

I think the point is that despite all efforts of even the best surgeons, those forces do irrefutably still exist. No tool today has rectified this problem and Dr. Bhatti hasn't suggested he has a new tool or technique that can eliminate the issue. So you are taking a gamble, especially with a FUE megasession, where each and every graft is subjected to these forces. Since donor grafts are finite, I would choose not to gamble mine away.

Yes and you could choose to gamble on strip and gamble on your scar hopefully not stretching (you have said yourself that your own FUT scars have stretched), but its a roll of the dice, and you could be unlucky:

As you work in the SMP business I assume part of your business is dealing with strip scars, and I assume they are not all that irregular?

  2. I respect Dr. Feller, but where I don't agree with him is that a prospective patient (customer) should have no say or choice in the type of HT procedure he should undergo .. Once both pros/cons of both procedures are explained to a patient - I believe it should be FULLY their choice to decide whether they want to go FUT or FUE ... I consulted with Dr. Feller for my HT procedure, but eventually went with Rahal because he agreed to do FUE whereas Dr. Feller did not want to do FUE on me ... I'm happy with my choice - and that's all that should really matter.

I agree. Dr Feller has massively disrespected his former FUE patients by proclaiming on here that he wouldn't have FUE done on him for free. I wonder if he made them aware of that before taking their money? If Dr Feller has such a low opinion of FUE he shouldn't be offering it full stop.

  3. That's a fair point California. Not to be unkind Mav23100gunther but given your post count in three months you probably have a bit more capacity to frequent this forum than Dr Bhatti and demanding answers to your questions in the manner above is hardly going to encourage free flowing discussion between doctors.

  4. I have been following this thread and it is fascinating . I mean how many threads on any forum in the world on any topic have a veteran medical practitioner engage in passioned and open discussion like this ?

How many threads does one doctor get to monopolise to such an extent while promoting their practice? Let's be frank, Dr Feller has got A LOT of exposure so far from these FUE bashing threads, and why would other docs want to come on here and risk getting into a slanging match with him?

  5. A lot of people don't want a smiley linear scar Dr Feller, short hair styles, especially at the back, are in these days, people want the option to go short. You come across a bit old fashioned, this is no longer the 90's. People have seen what a strip scar can leave them with and they are voting with their feet and wallets to go for FUE, even with the downsides you identify, and the trend is only going to continue. Here's a prediction for you, in 20 years the ratio of FUE to strip will be 80 : 20, if not sooner.
