  1. Yes-- this is what I'm hoping is really going on with my sheds.. there's just too many hairs shedding where hair used to be sparse before. --(reminds me, I need to get up and apply my Minox now... the most annoying thing I need to do for my hair 2x a day!)--
  2. on a related note, have you guys seen this post by Dr. Rassman? Does Dr. Rassman Still Take Propecia? "Although I’ve written in older blog entries that I took the medication, I actually do not take Propecia at this time. I used it for years starting when it first came out, but at my age I did not think I had progressing hair loss and eventually realized that the drug would not be too valuable to me. I know I’ve said that you run the risk of “catch-up” hair loss when stopping Propecia, but I did not believe that I benefited from the drug and the decision appeared to be correct when I did not lose hair after stopping it. I had no libido problems on the medication, though. One of my sons takes Propecia daily and it clearly stopped his frontal hair loss, and in fact, he was the exception to the rule as it did regrow some frontal hair in the area that was heavily miniaturized. Frontal regrowth isn’t a common occurrence in most patients."
  3. and you can probably be reimbursed for travel. I did some research and credit care and spring stone (which is similar) are pretty common for HT procedures. looks like you have some options my friend! no matter which way you decide to go, we are rooting for you!
  4. I think it is possible to get 3000 grafts in one FUT procedure. I got 2710 in mine. The estimate was 2500 with my doc saying we will try for more if possible. The # of grafts retrievable really depends on scalp laxity and donor density; your doc will give you an estimate during your consult.
  5. Is Nizoral better than T-Gel? I've been using T-Gel.. what's the difference?
  6. I agree with all the responses. You never did answer whether you take the Meds. Do you? I am an example of someone who went from NW5A to a decent head of hair and I started the meds around the same time as my strip procedure (2012). It resulted in a perfect storm of results- see my Before and After photos

    HT #1: Before and After

These pictures were taken at Dr Parsa Mohebi's clinic, showing the progress of my hair restoration at different times in the first year.
