  1. Thanks fellas, maybe I Am being overly critical. I have come along way since my pre op pics. If you search "finally bit the bullet" you can see my journey. Currently I have to wear my hair straight down or people's eyes go straight to my hairline and I feel uncomfortable. So I think a second transplant would help with that? Also how many grafts would y'all recommend? Some docs that I have looked at, do a minimum of 1000 grafts. Yes, this is my right temple and the left temple looks very similar.
  2. Hey, I've returned to get more opinions, I had a transplant a couple of years ago. I'm not happy w the density and the fact that it looks like plugs. My hair caliber is pretty thick. If I had a second transplant to add density, do y'all think it would look less plugish?
  3. the donor hair is obviously thicker than the normal hair in the front, so if I were to add more donor hair to the area, would it make it look even more false?
  4. Oh ok, thank you for that info. Whatever route I decide I will keep everyone informed.
  5. Ok thank you for that info. When you say baby steps, do you mean one area at a time? Or small amount of graphs, spread out. I haven't seen any doctors about this yet. In my opinion I wanted to add 1000 grafts to the hairline, and if possible, some grafts to my forelock. I'm know Doctor, and a amateur at this. I've been thru one transplant but would like to make my second, my last transplant. If possible
  6. Unfortunately I'm not sure of the original density. As far as 65cm, more or less. This is a pic of my hair pushed back. I have to wear it straight down. If I have it styled back, I notice people look straight at my hair line. It's rainy today but In sunlight, it looks worse.
  7. Ok I certainly will. Oh my bad, I just want it to look thicker. Whatever that is called. Ha
  8. I appreciate it man. Im happy with the results but in the sun light, they look kind of like plugs. I feel like it needs more. Maybe its just me. Ill post some more pics in the sunlight tomorrow. Maybe that will give a more detailed description of what I mean. but thank you for the response
  9. Hey, I had a transplant a couple years ago with a respectable recommended doctor, however im not happy with the density at all. The transplant he did, turned out great, just not dense enough. I have contacted his office to try and get a appointment but haven't received any call backs. I'm wondering, would it be a bad decision to go with another doctor, just to add density. I was considering dr. vories. what do yall think? You can see pics of my first transplant with dr cooley, if you search, "finally bit the bullet". Thanks
  10. thanks david, its a definite improvement from where I was. I think I just had my expectations too high. My own fault.lol
  11. well it has been a year, although im better off than I was before, i don't feel like my results are what i was hoping for. maybe my expectations were a little too high. In no way, am i trying to impugn Dr. Cooley's work. He does great work, and produces some of the top work on this forum. I think its my hair characteristics. I know it can take up to 18 months to see the full result. I can see a few hairs in my hairline, that haven't grown at all. They look like they did, two days after the transplant. Hopefully they are just being stubborn. I will make a appointment with Dr. Cooley in a few months if they don't start growing and let yall know what he thinks. The last pic, is about two months after my transplant. What do yall think?
  12. im In the same boat also. I want to start it to help my forelock but seems like a pain to keep up with everyday...
  13. looks good man, just out of curiosity, did you opt for the prp treatment?
  14. thanks scooter, your hair is looking good too bro!
  15. things are looking better. a lot of the hair are still very thin and curly. straight out of the shower, not combed, I look like a walking pubic hair.lol too much info;) my barber knows that I had a transplant and he said, "where the hell did they take the hair from off your body?" I took some pics to show this. hopefully it straightens out soon and thickens up.
  16. my hair is really fluffy and frizzy, I wash with shampoo everyday. If I start to wash every other day, should I use conditioner on the days that im not using shampoo?
  17. has anyone else experienced this? I have been watching these two hair in my hair line since month four. They have broke the surface but haven't moved in months. Are they just being slow? lol
  18. i'm looking forward to the next few months! I think things are going well, maybe a little behind some but im staying positive. I'm happy with how things look in dim lighting, not so much outside. what do yall think? thanks
  19. sorry kind of blurry. This is 4 months post op shaved down to a 5. My barber said that hairs were growing through it so it should improve.
  20. yeah Jo, that's what I was referring to. Im mainly wondering if doctors post patient results saying "awesome result from 2000 grafts" when in reality, it was really 2500. Just to get more clientele
  21. Just a random question...Do you think transplant doctors would lie about graft numbers? What I mean is, some doctors show awesome results with minimal number of grafts. Do you think the patient actually received what the doctor is stating just to make their results appear better than others? For example, a doctor posts a nice result stating the patient received 2000 grafts but in reality the doctor gave them 2500 free of charge without stating so. Not that this would be a bad thing (for the patient). Just think it would be false advertising.
