  1. When a person of opposite sex at work tells you: "That combover looks idiotic, it's better to shave it all off!". Thats when you will know if it justifies it in or not. True story that I witnessed in person and will always stay in my mind until the end of time.
  2. I copy and paste qoute from a doctor - got 8 thumbs up. "I dont believe a single word of this. Im a doctor and I know that the only thing that can really slow down hair and facial hair growth is old age, due to the changed hormonal state. So if this creme really prevent or slow down hair growth, then it must have some hormone in it, and should be really available on prescription only.Having said that, I would not prescribe this creme to any patient. Safer to just carry on removing unwanted hair by shaving, waxing etc." - A.R. McAllister, California, USA, 03/6/2011 20:15
  3. Yes I had the same issue when started loosing my hair. I was told it was the oil that scalp started producing in overtime mode. This is what you should do - "wash your hair or take shower daily" - my doctors advice. Also use Nutrogena T/Gel or Nizoral as well. That helped me a lot with my itching problems early on. But the damage was done and I had no choice but to go HT route. BTW I still use Nizoral 2% 2X per week, take shower every day and my scalp does not itch at all. Once in a while I still got that odd itchy tingeling feeling on top of my head, but nothing like in early days of my early hairloss days when itch was daily and I didn't know about those two good shampoos and daily shower routine. Hope this helps you as it helped me a great deal.
  4. I found out about this yesterday too. Big up Wayne Rooney for being THE MAN for not hiding it like all these hollywood pussies. I hope his transplant turnes out to be successful one. We shell wait and see. Fingers crossed Rooney!
  5. Less powerful - maybe. More suspicious - hmm suspicious how??? Not sure what he meant with this. Different people = different level of tolerance. Me personally it effects a great deal. I guess I'm after my dad, coz he still wears his hat whenever he goes outside and he is 60+
  6. Now i'm 32 and transplant was back in 2008 so i was 29. And yes it was all in one session. Lately I'm seriously thinking to get another one and hopefully be done with it. Are we close to cloning (HM)???? Was reading that some Chinese doc in Holland is doing it is it true??????? ~) ***edit**** My hair characteristics are fine to medium i was told.
  7. Wow you resurrected this thread lol. I thought nobody digs through old threads anymore . Anyway, I read your PM and that's why i'm back on this board again. I do this because I know how big of a burden it is on many peoples mind when it comes to hairloss. Personal experience and I'm still fighting the fight too even today. I stopped using rogaine about 4 months ago and I think it was a mistake!!!! Still using 1/4 proscar every day though. The thinning patch on top middle is getting bigger and more noticeable. Is it because I stopped using rogaine.. donno. Didn't see Rahal yet. Got the appointment with him few months back but missed it... long story. I took some more pics and I also made a 2min video that I just posted on YouTube for all you balding brothers to check out if you wanna. YouTube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=an5u1tNEEpY P.S. How far are we from hair cloning (HM)?????:rolleyes: Pics and video was shot with my Iphone so sorry about so-so quality.

  10. ES, Pre op pics: Forum By and for Hair Loss Patients - feelzgood's Album: My transplant - Picture Forum By and for Hair Loss Patients - feelzgood's Album: My transplant - Picture Forum By and for Hair Loss Patients - feelzgood's Album: My transplant - Picture When I posted them first time they were all chronologically aligned but perhaps the new website format made them all scrambled. Dr Armani drew the hairline and did the slits. Techs did extraction and placement. TTP, I'd say it's not 100% necessary but it is definitely something that I would like to address it whilst I still have some money saved before it's gone. Also when my hair is longer that is the only see through area that keeps bugging the hell out of me while in front of the mirror and takes some time and effort to correct the "see-through-ness". 1966, I alternate between short and medium hair all the time. I'm very happy with my short look. I'm also very happy with my mid-short look as well except that one area that needs some touching up of maybe few hundreds of grafts. And then and only that I'll be 100% satisfied with my hair short or longer. That's just my mind I guess. Thanks for best wishes man!
  11. Garet, It was $7CAD/graft and I mentioned that in my first thread. Dr. Rahal offers it at $6CAD currently. wb, I was goner with my hair - trust me. Doc told me I was between NW4 and NW5 but to me it looked like more between NW6 and 7 with few thin weak ass hairs on top. Everywhere I went I wore my baseball hat. I even wore my cap to consultation and took it off only so that good doc could take some pre-op pictures. I'll link some of my pre-op pics on the other thread, although I posted them before. Meds helped greatly in my case, especially the crown area. I started using meds few weeks after my HT and continue still until this day. Regarding "school of thought" I say if you do not wear your hair short and you never will, then go with FUT. That way you will save a lot of money and judging by the forums' verdicts your chances of having a successful HT are greater. On the other side of the coin, go with FUE if you like the way you look with buzzed hair. The "scars" are minuscule and very hard to see even upon very close inspection. I shaved my head once with no guard and that was the only time that small white dots were noticeable. When I asked my tech about punch size he said 8-9mm. So make sure it's not bigger than that.
  12. wb, In my case, the funny part is, that it was not an ignorance on my part. I started seriously researching HT forums while I was few months post-op (3 or 4 months can't remember now). My whole research was literally typing this in google search bar "Toronto hair transplant" and wolaa I was sold with first few links that showcased "great results", and the rest was history. But those waiting and reading months were sick. I was scared shitless of all the stories that I read regarding FUE all while waiting for my HT to deliver goods. All I gotta say thank God I'm not one of the unlucky ones with poor yield. sheeesh!
  13. garet, After reading this entire thread I gotta tell you that this thread motivated me to do my HT update that I just posted and it can be found here:http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/157624-my-fue-2-years-after-scars-1-buzz.html I will never regret my HT and I'm so glad that I went with FUE blindly without me even doing proper research at that time. I was NW4+ and now I look like a guy with almost zero hairloss. If I was reading all this FUE vs. FUT stuff that I keep on reading now, I would probably go with FUT and I would never be able to buzz my head to #1. My proffered hair style was always short but for ppl that don't plan to buzz their hair I'd say FUT would be fine if not preferred option IMHO.
  14. Hello everyone, It has been long time since last time I logged in on this site. Lately I have been lurking this forum ever since hair greed kicked in for me. Or maybe since I realized that perhaps my hair got little thinner on top middle part few months ago. My last (old) update can be found here: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/142197-my-transplant.html I'm very glad to hear that Dr. Rahal started implementing FUE with his clinic. I talked to Adrian last week and things look and sound promising to me. I'm waiting for Dr. Rahal to come to my city (Toronto) so I can have a consultation, and Adrian I hope that you did not forget about me . Today I buzzed my hair to #1 and just an hour ago I took as many photos as I could (without them being blurry) to show my current situation 2+ years after my 4K fue procedure. Most of them are with flash though and I managed to take few without flash without them being blurry. I must admit that direct and close flash makes my hair look 10X worse that it actually is and on some pictures even invisible. First 2 pics with longer hair are taken last week messed up with the purpose to expose my thinning area. They are the same pictures that I sent to Adrian so he can show 'em to Dr. Rahal and asses my situation. I still take 1/4 proscar every day and still apply rogain sometimes once sometimes twice per day. Lately I have noticed a lot more pimple activity all over my body. I figure it's just this crazy heat....but should I go and see dermatologist since it could be proscar/rogaine/hormons related? Here are my pictures:
  15. The other guy was on John Stewart playing intern or corespondent or something like that.
  16. At 3 months that is just the way it should look. The change is comming slowly but you will notice it at the end ot the each month from now on. Looks like it is going to be a very nice result. Good for you Abedogg!
  17. Charlie - it was $7 CAD per graft times 4000 that would be $28000CAD. I paid cash so I got some discount and paid $26400.
  18. Hi guys. Thanks to everyone that commented on my pictures. Today I took some new pictures. I buzzed my head with #1 clippers two days ago and today was a sunny day . So I took some shots outside as well as inside with flash. The flash and bright sunshine were really harsh on my scalp as you can see. It looks way worse than under a normal lighting conditions or normal circumstances. So I know some of you asked for top of the head shots and I tried to do my best to get them for you. Leeson - I started minoxidil, proscar and msm 2 weeks after my transplant and yes the crown and everything that was behind the transplanted are grew nicely becaose of the medication. I still use them today.
  19. That was a lot of hard work just to post the pictures!!!! Comments are welcome
