  1. How can you say that of a recommended surgeon on here? Fair enough if I went to a tech mill in Turkey, I chose a recommended surgeon on here. Is it the norm for recommended surgeons on here to do 7000+ extractions in one day and three procedures a day? By the way that question is not directed at you. I am annoyed because donor hair is limited, if it wasn't, I wouldn't be posting on here today. I feel it is incumbent on all ethical, responsible and recommended doctors to treat donor hair as important as it is, give it your 100% attention. All the money in the world can't buy you new donor hair.
  2. Tell me this. Do respectable doctors do 7000+ extractions in one day and two to three procedures in one day?
  3. I am saying the result is subpar because I feel it is, some have posted on this thread it is subpar, and some have privately messaged me to say in their opinion it is subpar and a recent consultation with a surgeon told me it was subpar. The same surgeon does not believe I yielded anyway near 3400 grafts. The same surgeon was alarmed another surgeon would perform 7000+ extractions in one day. Do you think the surgeon is right to question 7000+ grafts being extracted in one day by another surgeon is a concern or is it perfectly normal to do that? Also, I didn't attempt to cover my whole scalp, the procedure was for the frontal and mid area. The day of my consultation with Dr Resul he said I had an average of 25 hairs per sq cm and after the result it would be an average of 80 hairs per sq cm. I have recently been told that is not the final result outcome and as in my sixteenth month, to expect no further improvement.
  4. We all know we have a limited donor supply so we have to choose carefully and research, research, research. Now lets say the day of your procedure, a big day and a big decision and not only are you getting circa 3500 grafts procedure but another person that day is also getting the exact same. The surgeon is about to embark on 7000 extractions in one day. Your limited donor supply is in the hands of this doctor and your end result is poor. Of course you would have questions. Would that be a recommended course of action to persue by the experienced posters on here? Getting a 3500 graft procedure the same day in the clinic as another patient getting likewise?
  5. I'm not stuck in any cycle. With our donor hair being limited, I'm not sure it is ethical for a surgeon to do 7000 or more extractions in one day where he says he is so busy he has not much time to come up for air or to be guaranteed he does all the extractions when he may not or he is doing 2 or 3 procedures a day or claims to break the extraction phase into groups of 1000's when that is clearly not the case. Also I do appreciate your feedback but when a hair surgeon examines me two weeks ago and says my results are subpar, and of course it is an opinion but to be alarmed that a surgeon would do seven thousand extractions in one day. I think I have legitimate questions to ask, after all my donor supply is limited like everyone.
  6. A) I thought the whole idea about this forum was choosing a recommended surgeon, in which I did. B) My expectations were created from my face to face consultation with Dr Resul. And C) The result is not what was told, not only is it a subpar result, there are question marks over the extraction phase.
  7. Take a look at before and after pictures of 3400 grafts and then look at the results Dr Resul is posting on here. Also Dr Resul told me my donor was very good and the grafts extracted were excellent quality and tell me that is not a sub par result, for 3400 grafts.
  8. Yet the surgeon said the final result would result in 80 hairs per sq cm and I have already been told that is not the case. I have also had my result looked at by another surgeon and he has said not only is there not a result showing a yield near 3400 grafts but a surgeon cannot do 7000 extractions in one day. The result is very thin and subpar.
  9. I have mentioned this in a previous post and have a theory to why my result may be subpar. I also accept I may be wrong in relation to this, so any experienced posters that would like to chime in, I would dearly appreciate the feedback. My extraction phase was broken into two parts. The second felt quite different from the first. The first I firmly believe Dr Resul did 100% of the extraction phase but the second phase was different, as if Dr Resul did the ground work but a tech actually pulled out the grafts if that makes sense? Also I was awake for the whole procedure and fully aware of what was going on. Could that batch of grafts or some of them have been compromised? I would like to add that I have not been in contact with the clinic since my last Whatsapp conversation with their rep as I wanted to get feedback from the community on here first.
  10. I beg to differ. I have recently had a consultation with a different doctor, showed him the before and after pictures and also he obviously physically examined my hair that day. He told me there is no way my result represents 3400 grafts. Also the day of my surgery, there was another patient there and he received 3600 grafts. The recent consultation I had, the surgeon was flabbergasted that a surgeon could or would do 7000 extractions in one day.
  11. I disagree it looks decent. I was told the day of my consultation the finished result would yield 80 hairs per sq cm. My final result certainly did not yield that. I followed all the instructions and got a poor result, especially in the mid section, it is very thin. I have to use hair fibres each day. I expected a far better result with 3400 grafts.
  12. So today is my sixteenth month to the day I had my transplant. Things are as good as they're going to get and I am very underwhelmed with my results. At five months in, things looked quite well, looking back now, I realise the PRP I received the day before my treatment certainly helped with thickening and most definitely darkening my hair at the time.. It is as if the PRP at five months was temporarily masking a poor result. I would like some feedback from the forum on my result, for 3400 grafts, I think the result is poor. I am considering a request for a partial refund from Dr Resul. I spent alot of time researching doctors, looked at plenty of results posted by Dr Resul but admittedly not many by actual patients, my results don't mirtor the results he posted. A couple of months ago I did get a whatsapp message from their rep guaranteeing their results and if not satisfied perhaps they can provide more services. I only have about 1500 grafts left, and I do not intend returning to a surgeon with those precious grafts that has already delivered a poor result. First two pictures 16 months, third picture day before surgery.
  13. Can I ask who performed your hair transplant and did that doctor also perform PRP the day before surgery?
  14. I insisted the day before my procedure that Dr Yaman do all the extractions. My extractions were broken into two parts. Dr Yaman definitely fully did the first part but the second part I feel he did part of that extraction process if that makes sense. I wonder if any of the experienced posters can chime in on this, is it possible for a doctor to do the groundwork for extractions and for a technician to actually then go in and extract them. I certainly remember feeling that the second extraction phase was different to the first phase.
  15. I will post pics tomorrow. Basically there is no way I got the bulk of my 3400 grafts to grow and because I am a year out I believe I am at my end result. Infact I got no further growth after six momths.
  16. Have not been regularly keeping up with this forum of late, mainly due to work and study. Occasionally do throw my eye over it and see many threads on Turkey etc etc So, one year update. I have to say that I am not very pleased with my overall result. I think it is average or some days feel it is quite below average. I've seen patients with similar hair loss to me get circa 3500 grafts (I got 3400 grafts) and they got much better results. My overall result is too thin, I need to use Nanogen/Toppik. I found that grafts stop growing post 5.5 months, and on one hairline side 4.5 months. I wonder does FUE grow quicker but yield less. Overall, I expected a much better result, it is too thin on the left side and mid scalp. Was promised final result would yield overall 80 hairs per sq cm, not a chance that occured.
  17. I'm roughly 4.5 months post PRP. I notice a small improvement from the shedding. I try not to focus on it too much, knowning it will be about six momths to see a full improvement if it happens.
  18. WARNING, and I stress the word warning, do not do it. You risk shockloss. Late May of this year, I was five and a half months into my hair transplant, and really pleased with the progress to date. Returned to my surgeon for scar repair of an old FUT scar. He gave me a complimentary PRP treatment for my scalp. End of week one to twelve weeks, I have had a considerable shed. In ten days I'll be four months post PRP and still yet see no improvement in the shed regrowing. As of now I feel it has ruined my hair transplant, most likely shockloss, I am just hoping the shedding is temporary. Finally, why risk permanent shockloss or making your hair look crap for months for a TEMPORARY gain, that is if you get one and don't get shockloss. STAY AWAY FROM PRP, would be my advice.
  19. First picture five months post surgery and two weeks before PRP. I was very happy with my progress from my hair transplant to date. Second picture seven months post surgery. Roughly six weeks post PRP. Third picture eight and a half months post surgery. Roughly 12 weeks post PRP. Continuous regression when I should be seeing improvement month on month post surgery. PRP has destroyed my hair, in my opinion. And my hair is worse than the pictures tell, especially near frontal mid scalp, it has thinned out so much.
  20. Yes, I meant Gillenator. The clinic that performed my transplant did the PRP again. My transplant journey is documented on this site and I had nothing but praise for the surgeon and clinic. Also, when I returned for my scar repair, the PRP treatment was done complimentary with no charge so I am reluctant to criticise too much. Obviously I am hoping my shedded hair regrows back. One issue I do have with the clinic is, it was a clinic ouside my country and considerably cheaper to what I would pay in Ireland. So when I returned five months post surgery I did consider getting a few hundred extra grafts as a top up, talked to my surgeon about it but ultimately I decided against it, I did not want to risk shockloss for an extra two or three hundred grafts after dodging shockloss five months previous. Explained this rational to my surgeon, so I just had scar repair done that day. The following day after my scar repair, I got PRP, not knowing it could cause shedding, and lo and behold, I ended up getting shedding/shockloss. I am annoyed about that. I just hope I recover. The surgeon is a really nice man, his team are great, and for now it's a waiting game for me, so don't really want to knock the doctor. I will add, even if I recover, I will never get PRP again. We all know a hair transplant risks shockloss and sometimes it can be permanent, but the risk involves getting permanent improvement, PRP is temporary improvement. Imo, not worth the risk for a temporary gain.
  21. I had my hair transplant done on the 5th December 2015. I've documented it here on a separate thread. Five and a half months later I returned to the clinic to have an old FUT scar repaired using FUE into it. My doctor gave me a complimentary PRP treatment for front/mid scalp. That was done on May 21st this year. On June 5th when I took my six month photo, I noticed it was worse than my five month photos. I continued to shed for about 12 weeks, I feel I am finally over the worst of the shedding. I am now three and a half months post PRP. But a hair cycle is three to four months, so I am currently in a waiting game hoping the shedded hair grows back. And because I shed for upto 12 weeks, it will be months before I know if I make a fully recovery. Biggest regret getting that PRP in May, I wish it was never offered to me. The way I see it is, you risk having your hair look crap for a few months to make it temporarily look better for a few months. That just makes no sense to me. Couple that with the anxiety hoping the shed grows back. Tomorrow I will be nine months into my hair transplant and my mid scalp looked better at six months in. It should be the opposite way round. I would add, I believe I experienced shock loss from the trauma. As I had PRP done on Dec 4th Hair surgery done on Dec 5th Experienced no shock loss to my knowledge in the subsequent months or none that was visibly noticeable to me. Five months later, PRP again. My theory is trauma to my scalp three times in a short period of time caused shockloss. There is a very respected poster on here by the name of Gillenter who saw my photos and said in his view I got an acute shedding of native and transplanted hair.
  22. I would strongly advice people against PRP. It is a temporary measure with the risk of very bad shedding, some on another hairsite saying they never regrew back the shed. Towards the end of May I was five and a half months into my hair transplant, everything going really well and my doctor gave me PRP. I start shedding within a week, and shed up to 12 weeks and shed a considerable amount of hair. I'm now at an anxious wait hoping the hair grows back. As of now I feel my transplant is ruined. I think I may have suffered either shockloss from trauma or perhaps it was just regular shedding from a new treatment. In my opinion it is not worth it. You may get a temporary improvement risking shockloss or shedding, and an anxious wait hoping the shed grows back. Even if my hair grows back, I will never do PRP again. Not worth the anxiety.
  23. Thanks for the reply. I feel I've shedded a combination of native and transplanted hair. With regards to transplanted hairs, because sometimes hair can shock in the donor area from the trauma of surgery I take it you think the PRP could similarly shock transplanted hair on the scalp? Also I've read it takes a full eighteen months for transplant hairs to fully mature and my PRP was done about five months after my transplant and my new hairs would have only being growing about ten weeks. As they would be on their first new cycle and as these hairs start out as fine, weak and whispy, do you think they would be more susceptible to shock as this early stage from PRP?
