  1. I agree with what Taking the Plunge is trying to say each doctor will have a specialty, and so therefore it depends on your requirements, if you know specifically what you are after, you should search for that area of work, rather than going off other peoples recommendations when each patient may have a different procedure.
  2. Yes this is normal, I have the same situation with my partner, it is natural for everyone to loose hair each day, some hairs are thinner than others.
  3. Seems very strange that you did not have a prep, the surgeon needs to make sure that you are compatible for the procedure. It does sound as though you may need to go to another clinic, you explain what has happened, make sure you ask as many questions as possible, and you are satisfied with the answers. Definitely agree with efflux if you are experiencing any doubt you should walk away. Try not to worry, this issue can be resolved, unfortunately it appears it's just been down to an untrustworthy surgeon that has mislead you.
  4. greatjob i do not work for them, I had a procedure done by them so I thought would be a good way to share and help others. But i agree to post some pictures, it is not necessary if you are so young to be getting work done just yet, my friend was turned away as he was also not ready and was told to take some medication and should go back in a year. Doctors there to give you the best possible advice.
  5. I can recommend Crown Cosma Clinic based in the UK, with leading hair transplant surgeon Dr Shahmalak. They can offer you a free consultation so you are able to discuss any queries or concerns you may have with the doctor himself. You should do it if it will make you happy and give you confidence. Ultimately it's something that may seem pricey, but will have a lifelong effect on your confidence and your appearance, only you can make the decision, but I do not feel it is something you would regret.
  6. It would be quite unusual to see a Royal get a hair transplant procedure, but I would think it very brave of him if he did as he is such a dominant figure, Prince Harry has also been pictured with hair that appears to be 'thinning' but maybe it does not affect them?
  7. Great thread, very informative, especially for those who need answers about FU and transplants! thanks for sharing
  8. Go see a specialist first, they can consult the various options with you, whether it is in fact necessary or whether you can take supplicants or creams. I had a friend who went for a consultation and was told he could not have the procedure just yet, and needs to wait a year.
  9. Sorry, I must have signed up incorrectly! My computer is very slow and often my activity on the computer goes out of sink with what i'm doing, so I must have clicked the wrong item!
  10. Yeh I would also say that a hair transplant at such a young age may not be necessary, you can go have a consultation, some places offer them for free and they can recommend what will be needed, whether there are some natural procedures you can do to help maintain your hair, and at what age surgery may be beneficial!
