  1. Just sharing the facts of what he told me. I am no hair expert and thus cannot validate the reason, I can only share the doctor's response.....
  2. Dr. Bhatti said that my severe case of scalp flaking could have been the reason. It can be a possible derma problem and I shall be consulting a dermatologist at the earliest. He may be right as I also remember the start of the hairfall coinciding with the flaking problem that I have today. Who knows had I taken care of it earlier I wouldn't be requiring a HT today The doc has also recommended Minoxidil 5% instead of 2% this time and also suggested me to religiously stick to the post-op regimen.
  3. augustya I agree with what you've written on a very structured/symmetric hairline. Moreover, I don't see many 'people' criticizing Dr.Bhatti's hairlines. From what I can read, it's one individual's view. You should visit threads of more patients' of Dr.Bhatti and decide on your own. My personal opinion would be to go ahead without any inhibitions. I am attaching a pic of HTIndia, one of the cases that made me choose Dr.Bhatti as my HT surgeon.
  4. I get what you are saying, the donor density varies from person to person. Not sure about his travel plans to Europe but another alternative can be shaving down your head and sending him closeup (macro) pictures of the back and the sides..... just a thought
  5. Not much donor left now as I have very less body hair. If I remember correctly, something like 500 grafts more from the scalp and 300-400 more from the beard I guess..... Guess everything has its pros and cons, hairy guys are pissed with excess hair and guys like me miss them in the case of a depleting donor
  6. Thanks a ton California & jayukdht! Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for a brilliant result Amen! I shall keep everyone posted on the progress.
  7. In my case, the gap was 9 months. I guess it's more than enough for a FUE.....
  8. You can follow the details of my 2nd HT with Dr. Bhatti here: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/172163-hair-transplant-2-dr-bhatti-1720-fue-sep-13-a.html
  9. Hi, the hairline was only touched where it was required. If you see my pre-op pictures, the hairline was weak on my right side, thats why you would see work done only on that side and the other side untouched. I have a weak donor and have to be realistic and prudent in the consumption. If I had a good donor supply, I would have loved to lower my natural hairline and touchup the temples, but can't at this point in time..... cheers!
  10. Day 2 pics and the first look at the donor post surgery.....
  11. Fellas, so finally I had my 2nd HT with Dr. Bhatti a couple of days back on 6th Sep. I wanted to cover the front and the crown both in this procedure. The total process took some 7hrs as my scalp had become a little tighter due to the earlier 2 transplants. Initially, the doc wasn’t too sure if the available grafts will be able to cover both areas but finally the yield was better than he was expecting and could manage 1720 scalp grafts with the following breakup: 1s: 120 2s: 1027 3s: 573 Out of these, 950 were used for the front and 770 for the crown. There is no pain and no swelling till now and I hope it remains the same. Also, doctor Bhatti has moved to a swanky clinic in the most centrally located sector of Chandigarh with 4 OTs overall. The doctor and the staff were extremely cordial as ever and the doc provided his cab for all local conveyance, which was a big relief. For those who have been following my earlier transplant would know that the earlier grafts on my mid-scalp didn’t grow. So the plan was to fill-in the empty mid-scalp area and the empty crown (not transplanted earlier). I would like to add that I have been suffering from severe flaking of the scalp (an advance stage of dandruff) for a few years now, which could have been the reason for low yield and growth earlier. I was advised to goto a dermatologist to look into it, as it might also have be the reason for my continuous hair loss over the years as well. I plan to do that as soon as I am 2-3 weeks post-op. Hoping for the best and praying for some excellent results …… Pictures in the subsequent posts.
  12. Hey, I had to reschedule because of personal reasons. WIll be going now in the first week of Sep..... I have no clue as to why they didn't grow earlier  I hope and pray that it doesn't happen again.....
  13. If I remember correctly he mentioned approx. 700 to be used for the mid-scalp. He is again planning to do a mix of scalp and beard hair. The realistic remaining count would probably be done once he buzz cuts my hair..... not sure.
  14. That's the plan bro. Going to Dr.Bhatti again in the first week of Aug, he agreed that the results were not as per expectations. Having said that, I've definitely lost precious hair grafts in the first procedure and that hurts. My crown is empty and I was planning to use the remaining grafts for the crown. Now, these would have to be used for the mid-scalp and hairline. I hope everything falls in place this time around.......
  15. Hey bro, I suggest you email your pictures to Dr. Bhatti and he will be able to revert to all the queries that you have. Without seeing your pics and the current state, it's not possible to safely comment on anything. From what I remember the cost of a scalp graft is INR 70 and INR 150 for BHT (check the latest rates from his website). Dr. Bhatti is a caring doc and he will give you the best possible and realistic advise. If you are looking for a large session he might split it between 2 or even 3 days. His email id and other contact details are mentioned on his website. If you struggle to find it let me know and I'll PM them to you. My suggestion, email your pics to Dr. Bhatti and let him suggest the best possible solution to you. You have shortlisted the right doctor, now just spend some time doing a combined assessment and setting realistic targets for your HT. Best of luck!
  16. Hey Spanker, if that is the case, do you think there is a possibility that it might work a second time around?
  17. Congrats bro! Best of luck and keep us posted.......
