  1. It looks good mate! Where can i buy Toppik from?
  2. Looking good man, me and you are at the same stage so its good to see how your progressing.
  3. Hi Shayshay. Good write up, your 2.5 months in front of me. I was tempted to shave my hair down but I would look a complete tool so I just couldn't do it! I'm currently sporting a decent combover job at the moment. Everything you say about Doc Feller and Spex is bang on, my procedure went smoother than a snakes belly! Whereabouts did you buy your Toppik from? I've got the nanogen but like you, i couldn't apply it right without it making a mess. Not tried Toppik yet but i would like to give it a whirl.
  4. I've never used toppik before. Is it the same type of stuff as nanogen? I've got some of that which i sometimes use on my crown but shy away from using it on the front as it always leaves a black tide mark around my hairline. Is toppik easier to apply?
  5. Congrats on your HT man, pleased its all gone well. The donor area was my main source of discomfort, no decent sleep for 10 days! All is well now tho so I hope you heal well and get some good growth.
  6. Thanks for the info man I really appreciate that. I keep telling myself that I'll be able to forget all about it and expect growth after 3 months but I gotta be realistic and change my expectations. As you say its a 12 month process and with me having 2 failed attempts then yeah you could say im I'm quite apprehensive about things and maybe being a little ahead of myself. I reckon Christmas will help take my mind off things. I'll bear what you say in mind if i get a few down days in the coming few months, reckon I'll have my fair share of those! Don't think the shedding will affect me as all the transplanted hair is covered by my false fringe! Thats one of the good things I've got going for me, when my hair is done I cant see anything and I can't touch it as it will move out of place and will reveal everything. Roll on next summer is all I can say!
  7. Cheers fella! I'm gonna try my best to forget about it. reckon it will be easier said than done tho! Did you suffer any shockloss? If I do suffer any, when will it happen? Any idea? I feel as tho its all gone too well so something has to give somewhere along the line! I do know after a period of time if no shockloss has occured then I think I'll be in the clear, is this correct?
  8. Here are my 2 weeks post op pics. I'm totally back to normal now, no pain anywhere, no numbness to speak of and hardly any redness. Been at work for the past 2 days with no hat and totally flew under the radar so I can't really complain! Any thoughts and comments on my short progress are more than welcome. Be good to hear what others think. The las pic is what my hair looks like when I've combed it forward, my HT is pretty much un-detectable. Thank the lord for ultra strength hairspray!
  9. Cheers man! I'm posting my 2 weeks pics tomorrow. All has gone smoothly. Went back to work today with no hat on either and apart from being called bonehead by the one person, no one else said a word. I'm happy with that! Got to admit I was inspired by your tremendous combover, mines good but yours is one of the best! I'm pretty much back to normal now, just waiting for the growth to start!
  10. I've got a thread on here somewhere man, I'm new to this and not great with computers either! I got 2000 grafts in the hairline and frontal thirds and I agree with everything you said about Feller and Spex, they are like Batman and Robin of the transplant world, saving bald people!
  11. Quality job Spreadlocks, very impressive! Make no wonder your over the moon with it. I'm 2 weeks out also with Dr Feller and if I end up with a result half as good as yours I'll be more than happy! Enjoy your new hair and new confidence!
  12. Wowzer! That is some result for 2000 grafts. He's gotta be happy with that result!
  13. Thanks Doc! Took the staples out last night so with that info you've just given me I should be good to go for a haircut today. Hope I can cover the work up, just wanna get back to normal now and forget all about it for a good few months.
  14. Good write up Uk Sailor. Sounds like you had a great experience with the great Dr Feller. He's been busy with a lot of UK guys recently (myself included!) and every experience seems to be a positive one. Be great to see some pics man. Good luck with the growth!
  15. My head is ok for numbness. just the odd spot here and there. My girlfriend has just taken my staples out, ouch indeed! Thats been my main place of discomfort so I'm glad they're out now. Redness is not too bad either. Just need to sort out a decent combover and I'll be ready to go out without a hat! Keep us updated man. Yes i hear its a bit windy in NYC this week!
  16. Looking extremely good Dave You got some good growth already. Impressive!
  17. Looking good Iamx121! Think I was in the chair on the Friday before you so we're pretty much at the same stage. Work looks good and is very similar to mine. Hope your healing well man. I'm self employed too so can't take much time off either. You had much pain in the donor area? I've had a fair bit there. Taking the staples out tonight....ouch! Good luck and happy growing.
  18. Click on Spex' profile and go to his website Spexhair You'll find all you need to know on there man.
  19. Thanks for the info Icecreaman I'll be 12 days post op when i wear a beanie. I'll wait till im comfortable to get a haircut. Don't wanna rush anything!
  20. I'm 6 days post op and wanting to go back to work in 7 days. As I work outdoors I can get away with wearing a hat but will this timescale be too soon? Also I'm wanting to get a haircut (no buzz cut just comb and scissors) I'm worried about the comb catching the grafts, again what will the timescale be on this? Any info is much appreciated!
  21. Good luck shabs88 Hope it all goes smoothly!
  22. Good luck Krisl Your in safe in hands with Dr Feller. Keep us informed of your experience.
  23. Nice job Raphael84. You had a pretty decent thatch of hair to begin with IMO so you should have one remarkable barnet when everything starts coming through! Good luck man.
  24. Olmert I've tried a fair few shampoos over the years and I currently use Kerastase Capital Force for men. Its good stuff and it helps me a lot and I've got really soft fine silky hair. Also for texture I use Sea Salt spray on damp hair. When dried with a hairdryer the difference is amazing!
