This patient returned to our office approximately two years after having his initial repair work performed by Dr. Wesley (NYC). This patient's initial surgery was performed in a different surgical center (seen as "before" pictures).

He subsequently underwent a session to also add density and coverage to the mid scalp region as well. Those images will also follow.

This 34-year-old doctor wanted to add density to his thinning mid scalp. While he was bothered by the thinning on top of his head, the crown region (in back) didn't bother his as much.

A 2579 FU session of FUT with Dr. Wesley focused on his mid scalp. By creating a feathered "arc" along the back border of the pattern of transplantation and leaving a portion of his crown untreated, young patients continue to have a natural appearance even when the thinning portion of their crown expands over time.

The patient returned 12 months later for follow-up images and video of his new hairstyle.

One of the advantages of the relatively thin grafts produced by follicular unit extraction (FUE) as compared to their strip harvest counterparts is that they can be more easily placed into recipient sites that are created in a more dense pattern. Here, Dr. Carlos Wesley describes this in a patient who desired a hairline advancement using FUE.

This 40-year-old received 2460 grafts to address his receding hairline. His session with Dr. Carlos K. Wesley (NYC) included a number of DFUs (double-follicular units) tucked away behind his new hairline to provide more coverage and an improved facial framing.

He returned with a renewed self confidence about 9 and a half months later to display his new hairstyle!

This 35-year-old African-American male sought treatment for his rapidly-thinning scalp. He underwent a 2200-graft FUT session with Dr. Carlos K. Wesley in NYC. The patient returned to the office about 11 months later wearing the same short hairstyle.

A 48-year-old man with Type VI MPB underwent a session to the frontal half and mid scalp involving 4358 grafts. The accompanying video montage illustrates his transformation from before, during and about one year following the follicular unit transplantation (FUT) approach with Dr. Wesley.

This 23-year-old athlete desired two things: 1) to add density throughout the frontal half of his scalp, and 2) to be able to continue to wear his hair at a very short length. These images and video show this patient's progress from follicular unit extraction (FUE) at both the 1-week recovery phase and the 7-month early growth stage.

Here is a 42-year-old man who wanted the fullness of his hairline back. The results of a 2326-graft follicular unit transplantation (FUT) session with Dr. Wesley can be seen at 11 months after his surgery. The patient is ecstatic.

Patients frequently ask about the short-term as well as long-term look of the back of their head after undergoing FUE. So, here are examples of various patients from our practice who have undergone follicular unit extraction (FUE).
