  1. Thanks for the reply, no worries.. We're all trying to help each other here and I appreciate the honesty. I see what you're saying. The density does look low, but I remain hopeful as there are still follicles that can cover my hairline if they start to grow. What's done is done, and I will live with the decision I made. I'll keep updating my progress through the months and hopefully his can be of use to any of you deciding to go this route.

You have a really positive mind and i admire you for that :)

Wish i could be more like that.

But yes your Right, whats done is done and offcourse you Can allways get another HT after 12 Month to increase density

  2. I would say I had 90%+ yield

I did not notice any shockloss, but then my crown was pretty bald to start with. dr. Lorenzo was careful and did not go much into areas where i had healthy native hairs.

After month 10, not much to be honest.

For me the timeline was like this:

    Fairly quiet until month 4.5-5.

Then between month 5 and 7 everything grew.

Between months 7 and 9 things got more mature.

Between months 9 and 10 the cycle seemed complete, and the transplanted hairs felt and looked fully mature.

    Cool.

Do you Also feel that your HT hairs looks darker ?

  3. Hey AJ,

Good to see your post, was thinking of you the other day and how your results turned out (I looked your name up on the members search list and it came up "no results" so I thought you maybe got off the forum).

Pics look Great! Both the crown and the front filled in awesome, I think you would be good not getting anymore done if you chose not to, but another pass and you will look like you've never lost a hair. I am six weeks post from my second surgery with Dr. Lorenzo (July 20, 21st), 2802 grafts this time (in the front and on top).....I am really in the ugly duckling stage right now but hoping for as good a result as I got in my crown.

How have people reacted to your new hair? You have to be thrilled.

    Hey farm.

So your 6 weeks post op now, and in the hard phase?

Tell me did you suffer shockloss of the native hairs or your previous transplanted hairs in the reciepted area? Or did you just Shed the new HT hairs, and look like pre op before This HT ?

  4. Hi everyone,

Recently had a ht at Cosmedica in Istanbul. The place is located in a hospital next to the interstate & metro, I was a little anxious about going to Turkey but now glad I did. Everything was fine during my week long stay there. After my transplant I spent a few days exploring the city. Istanbul is a very vibrant city.

Some background: I'm 24 years old, I always had a receding hairline through out my youth, but not until a couple of years have I noticed it receding to where it was very noticeable. I was able to hide it with a nice haircut, i was hiding it but it didn't look like i was hiding it but eventually it caught up with my tricks. I don't like to admit it but having hair loss really did a number to my self-esteem.

I decided to go with Cosmedica after seeing many good results online, but truthfully the price was what drew me in. After a few days of communication via email, I scheduled my consultation. They are open all days except Sunday, scheduling an appointment was very easy. I arrived on a Wednesday morning and was transported to my hotel after I went to a tourist check-in after you pass customs. For the all inclusive price they give you two nights at the hotel. The next morning I was transported to the hospital with two other gentlemen. We were greeted by staff upon arrival. Then we were called into a room one by one to get blood drawn and was told it was for the PRP. One after the other we met with Dr. Acar. I discussed my hair goals with him and he was very sincere. My hairlines were then drawn then proceeded to get the hair shaved, was taking to get some before pictures taken then off for surgery. If this sounds like a quick process it's because it was. I had read how many clinics in Turkey are like this, but if the results are good that's all that matters.

My ht lasted about 7 hours and was awake the entire time. During that time I was in a really chill state of mind thanks to the sedative given beforehand. Initially I had only planned to get my hair transplanted and that probably wouldn't have taken long at all. I decided to get a beard transplant as well after realizing it wouldn't cost much more to do so. My facial hair game has always been weak and it may be silly to some people but I have always wanted to sport some presentable facial hair and if a hair transplant allows me to do so, thank you technology! After the transplant was done I was transported back to my hotel. I went back two days to get my bandages taken off from my donor area and got a hair wash. I was then given instructions by an assistant and a paper that states my ht is guaranteed for ten years. Lastly, I was given the option to buy some supplements which I did.

It's been 10 days post-op now and everything is looking good so far. Eager for the time to pass to see the results, but keep telling myself patience is a virtue. At the moment I'm taking 1mg finasteride per day along with a hair vitamin, biotin and using anti-hair loss shampoo.

I have to be Honest here.

The HT does NOT look good. The density is very Low in the cornors of the hairline.

I am sorry and i know you proberbly not gonna like it but i dont Think the result Will be good. :(

Your "natural" hair looks dense and when you new hairs grows back it Will not look dense. Infact i Think it Will look very thin! :(

Really sorry buddy and i dont say This because im trying to make you sad but im saying This because i want you to know the truth and get you prepared for the results.

  5. The hairline is ok. It is a bit thinner on the right side, so i might do a touch up there. My hair is blonde and wavy, so the contrast is not high and the illusion looks better. I dont think I need very high density.

Do you Think you have close to 100 % growth ?

And did you suffer from shockloss in the reciepted area from your natives hairs?

And did you notice Any improvement AFTER Month 10?

  6. Here is day 7 picture. Lorenzo put most of the 3-4-5 hair grafts in the crown and single and double ones in the front. This means that 2000 multi-hair grafts in the crown are comparable ~3000 standard grafts.

    28560.jpg

    Cool.

I Think the hairline is a bit thin, what do you Think about the hairline?

But overall there is defently a lot of growth.

  7. Hi everyone,

Just wanted to post a review of my experience with dr. Lorenzo. In short - it was great. Great surgeon with a great team.

Below are my pictures, pre-surgery and 12-months post surgery.

    4000 grafts, 2.33 hpg, total ~9300 hairs

~2000 grafts in crown and ~2000 in frontal 1/3

Did not touch mid-scalp, might go for another session to add some additional density there

    Cheers,

    Jon

    Congrats on your HT.

Do you have some pictures taken post op Day 1 - 14 or something?

  8. So a bit of background I am 30 and have had a receding hairline since i was 17. I still have a bit of hair at the front but it has drastically gone over the past 2 years so after lots of research and the fact that I was taking a trip to India anyway I decided to try Dr. Bhatti.

We had emailed back n forth for a while and I had sent him photos of what i would like it to look like.

So I arrived at 7pm the night before surgery and was sent to the hotel ab, I thought there was a chance that he would like to have a chat before hand but we didnt.

Anyways so I get picked up at 6.50am and taken to darling buds clinic. The place is nice and all but I found the staff really strange, almost abrupt and non communicative.

Eventually around 7.30 I met Dr. Bhatti who drew my hair line way down and I stated no no I want it to look a lot more natural like the photos I had showed you. This all seemed somewhat new to him which I found a bit weird. Next thing we moved into another room and I sat in a chair, and without even telling me he started shaving the donor area... now yes obviously this is something thats meant to happen but it just seemed like a long list of things that were never explained to me. It felt like everything was so rushed and being in an uncomfortable and nervous situation I never felt like anyone was trying to put me at ease.

The procedure quickly went ahead and was relatively painless but once again nothing was explained to me it was just lie down and bam they were operating.

I've spent months researching on here and you guys point out things like how many doubles, triple grafts, the size of the extractor in millimeters etc. none of this was told to me at all.

When they began to put in the grafts I remember asking will Dr. Bhatti be doing this and one of the ladies said yes, which wasn't true at all as he only showed up once roughly during the end of it. Not that the ladies seemed to do a bad job it was just yes once again a lack of communication.

After surgery I was asked to sit in the waiting room for 1 hour and have my head sprayed every twenty minutes. After that hour was up I asked what to do and they said wait another hour, then someone brought me some lunch which was nice so i scoffed that down and asked whats next and they said how long have you waited and i said 2 hours.. wait another hour was the response.

If someone said that he is very busy in surgery and that once he is done with two other patients he will come to see you and change your bandages then that would of been great and I would have understood except none of that happened. I really felt like i had done something wrong to piss him everyone off or something.

Finally after the three and a bit hours I was asked to come in and see Dr. Bhatti, he said have you been talking or moving your face because it is bleeding... Once again no one said not to move my face or not to talk .. why would this not be told to me?

I was asked if there were anymore questions and I said i had one about the photos he took in which i dont want them published on the website and it was brushed off and we will speak tomorrow. From there I paid my money and got in a cab, where the driver didnt want to carry my really heavy travelling bag for me so I had to carry it to the hotel which worried me as i would be causing stress to my skull.

Well here I am sitting around spraying my head every twenty minutes until midnight feeling very confused and scared and nervous about whether i've made the right descion and if now i'll just be laughed at if it looks silly ... plus I have no idea how im going to conceal it for the next three months as it hopefully stars to grow.

I know this has come off super negative and I think the work looks well done, I just wish for the money i just spent I was treated a little nicer and given some time and patience.

Oh boy i Can relate to that from my first surgery in turkey with another doctor.

But if you get a good result Then all of What you experienced means nothing in the end.

I Think you should write and detailed mail to dr bhatti about your experience so he know that for futere patients.

  9. Hey man,

I was treated at the hair transplantation clinic in veldhoven ( in the netherlands). Unfortunately the website Kliniek Veldhoven is in dutch, so i dont think that will be very usefull.

The doctors name is Drs. G. F. Koeijers, i have to add that he was the one who gave the local anesthesia. There were three female assistants who performed the extraction and implantation. He was there to check them up from time to time.

I dont know how to reach him directly, you could however send a mail to the veldhoven clinic maybe they can help you further getting in touch with the doctor.

    info@kliniekveldhoven.nl

How do you Think your hair would look if you cut it shorter? Maybe like 2-3 Cm?

Because normally people wouldnt want that long of a hairstyle as you Wear, so it would be interesting to see how your result was when hair cut shorter :)

But its a Nice result anyway, wish that i could have gotten results like you with my 2 HT's

  10. Hi Everyone!

Im starting this thread because im going back to Dr Kesers tomorrow for my Part 2 HT. The first HT went fantastic and the results where mind blowing. I made a thread about it here.

    http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/163680-2065-grafts-fue-dr-keser.html

But sense the pictures in this thread doesn't work anymore you can watch the pictures here.

    Dr Keser 2065 grafts FUE

When i went there for the first time 5 years ago we draw a hairline that was a little bit higher then i wanted having future hair loss i mind. We said that if the hair loss is stable in my 30s we will make it a little bit lower so i can feel perfectly good about it . I have a very big and round forhead so it makes the look alot.

I will lower my hairline a little bit and fill out my crown some using 1000-1500grafts depending on Kesers opinion.

Please spare me the "How can you waste so much grafts on the hair line" talk. i know want i want and the risks going with it. This thread is made so i can share Dr Kesers work with you.

I will take photos and post regularly as i did the first time. I will also look at my donor and see how i looks now after the first HT regarding scars and take pictures of that as well.

    Keep you posted!

    Regards

    Gatsu

Does dr keser extract and implant himself? Or does tech do most the work?

  11. Well I finally had my 3rd consultation in 10 years with Dr Wong and he has finally given me the green light.

Initially because of my thinning donor area he did feel that I would not be a candidate however after being on Fin and Rogaine for sometime now he feels that FUE to restore my hair line will work.

He thinks 1000 grafts will work for me.

I decided to grow my hair back after having SMP for a few years, I just didn't like the bald look.

I was the first person in North America to get SMP, originally from Milena(Beauty Medical) herself at Dr Fellers office and then a few touch ups at Hasson and Wong in the last couple of years.

My surgery is scheduled for Sept 28 2016 and I could not be more excited.

    Thats Nice buddy.

Possible to see your current condition ?

  12. Right now I am feeling unhappy about my results. Maybe I was expecting too much. I like to comb my hair back exposing the hairline. With the minimal amount of loss to start, I thought for sure 2600 grafts would do the job. Maybe my yield was less than average... I am not sure.

Now here I am about 3 weeks shy of a year, and I am just not satisfied. I still feel a bit self conscious when I style my hair back. I thought I had finally put all of this obsessing over my hair behind me. Now I am feeling disappointed and am dreading having to go through this entire process again.

I have been thinking about going to Rahal to refine my hairline. Although, I am in Thailand and it would be easier to go to one of the doctors locally. I believe there is a doctor here that is supposed to do good work.

I am so tired of thinking about my hair. I just want to move on with my life and not have to worry about it anymore.

I imagine doctors don't really like doing smaller procedures. I probably need a few hundred or so grafts in the hairline. What would you do?

Sorry to hear about your disapointment.

Trust me, i know how it feels like not to get the result you expect.

That beeing said, if you want help you need to provide pictures.

It Will take you 2 minutes to post a couple of pictures, and dont say you Dong have Acces to a Camara. :)

Nobody Can help you determine of a few hundreds grafts is gonna help you if we cannot see the problem

  13. Well i gues if my hair was in great condition, the Lines on the forehead wouldnt bother me that much.

But it is looking alot worse when the hair is diffuse thinning and receding on top of the wrinkles.

But hopefully i Can get a 3. HT to fix things ?

  14. It should be an easier time since you won't need as much and he did the last HT so he will take extra special care to make sure he does all he can to plant successful grafts.

When you email him be positive but direct about the gaps and then show the pics to explain where this occurred. If anyone can get grafts to grow in tough or scarred areas or in areas that just don't seem to take, it is Lorenzo. I'd give him one more shot at it. Hey update. Sending the hair gods your name!

    Hehe thank you buddy

And thank you all for beeing so supportive :)

  15. Could be. If grafts were planted there the first time and didn't take then there could be some scarring that made the next round not take as well.

If grafts were planted where their are gaps now it's is totally possible that they still may sprout

If it was me, I'd start planning for the next HT PASS after 12 months, if the gaps fill by then great, if not, this next pass will be very obvious where to plant.

I know it's not the ideal situation and a pain in the neck, but what is the alternative.

What is done is done and the only thing you can do is try another pass or live with the way it looks for now

    Right?

    Yeah you are Right.

I will contact the clinic in a Month when im 10 Month post op and Then decide if its possible to get better results

  16. So what was the verdict comparing close up pics immediately post op to now.

Were there grafts planted in the areas that show gaps now? Or were there gaps immediately after the operation?

Look at the pictures i posted a couple of messages ago.

it clearly shows that there was hairs transplanted in the area.

Could it be that there are just areas on the scalp that Will NOT grow hair no matter how Many Times you try to place grafts there?

  17. Yes I am talking about some thing like this :- Hair Building Fibers & Thinning Hair Solutions | Toppik

So users please come forward, Is it good and really gives natural look ? Stick fully in our scalp in all weather conditions ? (wind, rain etc). I have a plan to use this after my HT, to compromise with dull areas. Nobody can recognize ? Please give your valuable opinion and views. And please add, how to use it, I saw a locking spray with that. What is that ? How many months we can use 1 normal bottle ?

Well it Can look really good if applied Right.

Why dont you just try it out? You got nothing to loose really.

  18. Johnny, sorry the HT hasn't been quite what you'd hoped, but to be honest I started reading this thread on the last page and it took me a while to realise you'd only had work done on the hairline - because it looks very natural. Upon closer inspection I can see what you mean about some gaps in the hairline, but your hair looks good and you still have a few months for the hair to mature and soften and blend in.

As others have said and I see you've accepted, you were never going to get your natural density back, which means the hair will always be slightly different where it's transplanted. That's the clearest to see in a short, shaved cut, where there is no shingling effect to create the illusion of density.

You have great hair; perhaps not quite the result you were dreaming of, but this is not hair that should be causing anxiety or depression, or threatening your relationships.

I know others have said similar things, but you need to be careful you don't let minor hairloss and disappointing procedure eat away at you (and I only say disappointing from your perspective - it looks great to me and it will to lots of others!). One of the issues with cosmetic procedures is that people who suffer from deeper anxieties and insecurities will often project these on to their physical selves and want to "fix" the cosmetic imperfections they have. That might mean hair transplants, teeth whitening, wrinkle removal, getting a six pack etc.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to improve physically, but you need to make sure you are not consumed by that desire. Your hair is great and although I can understand your disappointment that the procedure hasn't quite worked out as you wanted, you need to make sure you don't focus on the minor imperfections at the expenses of what is a great head of hair. Otherwise you will descend into a vicious spiral.

Perhaps another pass would meet your goals and it's certainly worth considering, but I'd also look into mindfulness and getting mentally stronger and more accepting too. Do not let your life become about fixing every little problem, or you will miss a lot of good things.

    I hear you.

I have been Working with my mental issue on a Daily basis. And trying to accept it more and more.

But almost all of what you guys say is true, but its just not that easy to change the focus away from the hair when its been my Daily concern for the last 5 years

  19. FYI this is an erdogan patient with a shaved head post transplant 3000 grafts.

I know he has more extensive hair loss, but the principle is the same, a transplant cannot match your original density.

In This case the patient Will never be able to achieve good density with the area he needs covered.

So the hairs was probly not packed as dense as it could have been if you wanted to.

I get your point about the density thing and im not expectimg my original density.

I Also have no problem that i need to use concealer to make my hair look thicker, but i still want a more refined and straighter hairline with no gaps.

  20. Hi Johnny,

From your pics I see what you mean about the density, however with your hair cut that short it's unlikely that a hair transplant will give you the results that you want.

I haven't seen any hair transplant results that look great when buzzed right down. You should consider growing it out a couple of inches and go to a stylist. You have hair most guys can only dream of! Enjoy it and enjoy your life!

Alternatively if you want the buzzed look with more density, what about SMP?

Also, I have anxiety and it sounds like you may be experiencing it too. I'm on Meds for it now and haven't looked back, really helped me function and go about my day. PM me if you need any advice

Split i tried growing it several times, and with some concealer and styles very stratigicly, i Can make it look good on top, but with these gaps in the hairline, its extremly difficult to make it look good in the front.

And i know that buzzed Down This short is not makeing the HT work its best, but with toppik/nanogen its actually possible to make it look good. But my problem is that the gaps with minimal hairs make the hairline look bad and the concealer is looking really bad in that areas because its just laying on the scalp

I Will PM you regarding the anxiaty thing

  21. Density can DEFINITELY be better.

Looks like an easy fix but yes another pass

Could you compare pics from right after post op to see if any grafts were planted into those areas that have gaps now? You would have needed to take close up pics of these areas when you got home post op or a few days into your recovery before the grafts started to shed.

This will tell you if the grafts were placed and just didn't grow OR that no grafts were placed in those missing gaps

If you can tell that no grafts were placed then you know the doctor missed those areas

If you you see grafts there then either they didn't take or still waiting to come out

To do this you would have had to have taken very close up pics (even with phone) though.

This way you can find out if the doctor at least tried placing grafts there and didn't just leave such gaps as they show now

Trust me buddy i have taken pics. Almost Thousends :-/

Here is a picture taken 2 weeks after the HT

    image.jpg.8ef2087f5217e4d0eb1df737ffbd624f.jpg

  22. Hello Guys,

We know that each and every HTs never compete with our actual dream. Somebody gets high densly packed hair, some gets ‘just ok’ level. In that ‘just ok’ level, we can see scalp skin here & there through transplanted hairs because of minimal quantity of hair. Here I’m asking is, why shouldn’t they use hair building fiber sprays or hair Root volumizing sprays to make thick look? Is anyone here using these kind of products ? If yes, please come forward and tell positives and negatives of such products. I never see such products with my eyes. (All I know about is from commercials). Is that ok with open atmosphere ? Please explain.

Are you talking about the use of concealer on hair that is transplanted or just the use of concealer in general?

I use toppik concealer everyday. Without it i would be even more depressed than now
