  1. Hello Robert, I have no clue about Dr. Mahadevie from Ahmedabad. However, I would like to mention that Dr. Madhu is the only Hair Transplant Surgeon from India who is recommended by this Site. About the Prices, you can check this link: http://www.hairhospi.com/hair-transplant-cost.html Do let me know, if you have any other queries. My HT Surgery is on coming Monday.
  2. Congratulations...Seems like it gonna work out pretty well... Also, from your pics, it feels that he has provided you more of a density as you required hair grafts only in the frontal portion. I have my HT scheduled with Dr. Madhu on 8th August...Hoping for the best... Any suggestions for me for things to do before surgery???
  3. Congratulations and All de best...!!! I have my HT scheduled with him on 8th of August... Lucky you, that you got so many grafts. Work looks pretty clean to me...Hope it turns out to be great... Would you like to share anything else about your transplant experience with Dr. Madhu?? Any suggestions for me for things to do before surgery???
  4. Thank You guys...Did quite a careful research on both the Doctors and finally made the most important decision of selecting a right Hair Transplant Surgeon for my transplant. Got generally good reviews about Dr. Ravindra Reddy...However, on whatever I saw and read on this forum, I decided to go with the best i.e. Dr. Madhu.. Visited him couple of hours ago...discussed my issues with him and felt better. Have already paid the advance amount of 5k and the D-date for me as of now is 08/08/2011. However, I have requested them to pre-pone it if possible. Hope this decision turns out to be one of the best decision of my life. Well, that is it for now..All the tension about which doctor and all is over and the wait begins for the actual thing... Once again, would like to thank this forum for all the knowledge it has given me. Regards.
  5. Hello, Thanks for the reply. I have met a patient of Dr. Reddy who had his transplant done on 11th of February, 2011. Its been more than 5 months now and he is quite happy with the result and he himself suggested me to go and meet the doctor. But, to be frank, he had lost all his hair before H.T. and now though, he has grown hair all over, but the density is very less and I can make out that its all transplanted hair, seeing the way it is planted. (Not sure if its normal though at 5 months from surgery) Kaykay, a member on this site has also done HT through him in 2009 and his pictures look amazing, in his site. All said and done, I truly respect and am amazed with Dr. Madhus recommendation on this forum and consider myself lucky to be located in the same city where he operates. Spent last 3 days reading entire thing about him on this forum and after that, my heart wants to get it done from him. But just the thought of Dr. Ravindra Reddy doing entire thing in one sitting makes my mind think about him. Will go to Dr. Madhu tommorow and try to meet him and talk my heart out. Still confused though...

  14. Can anyone who has done the treatment with Dr. Madhu or Dr. Reddy or anyone who can give me any suggestion reply on this. Would really appreciate if someone does that.
  15. Thanks Rod, Really appreciate your reply!! I will go an discuss this issue with Dr. Madhus clinic tommorow. Lets see, if something can be done. But, what I fail to understand is, if Dr. Madhu, being such a good and talented doctor says that he will be able to extract only 2500-2800 grafts and fill only the frontal part cause of my donor area, how can another less famous doctor commit that he will fill the entire scalp with the same donor area??? Assuming the same no. of grafts extracted, can Dr. Reddy plant those hair in the entire scalp and give less density giving un-natural look??? If thats the case, I rather go to Madhus clinic and get it done as he says. Somebody, please reply.
  16. Hey Rod, Thanks a tonne for the reply. As I said earlier, I am not even thinking about money. The only concern is to get as much hair as possible in one sitting. Dr. Madhu says that he would be able to extract only 2500-2800 grafts from my donor area and cover only the frontal part and I will need a second sitting to cover the balance scalp. Whereas Dr. Ravinder Reddy says that he will do the entire thing in one go and I wont need a second sitting. He is not talking about the no. of grafts though, as he dont charge on per graft basis. Deciding for a Hair Transplant itself took a long long time for me...now this confusion is delaying even more. Please advise. I understand that this forum has Dr. Madhu as the only Indian doctor recommended for H.T., so most probably I might be advised to go with him only, and thats the reason why I am inclined towards him, but again, the thought of second sitting makes me inclined towards Dr. Ravinder Reddy.
  17. Dear Friends, Firstly, would like to thank this Forum and all its members for sharing their valuable stories & feedback on this open forum. It is really helpful to everyone. This is my first post on this forum and it is regarding Hair Transplant. About me, I am 26 years old & based out of Hyderabad, India. My hair started falling since around more than 5 years now, tried Dr. Batras over here and couple of other doctors for treatment, but nothing worked out. Ultimately, frustrated with everything, stopped the medication completely for around 2 years. Then again, in December 2010, on someone’s recommendation, met a Doctor in Delhi, and started taking treatment under him, which basically included applying of Mintop 10 & taking Finax (1mg), which I am doing since last six months and do see a decent difference. However, the condition now is such, that I do need a Hair Transplant for obvious reasons. After going through the forum search and recommendations from couple of people, I finally decided to go for Hair Transplant and decided to shortlist on which Doctor to go with. I consulted two doctors last week, Dr. Puli Ravinder Reddy & Dr. Pathuri Madhu in Hyderabad. 1) Dr. Puli Ravinder Reddy recommended me for Hair Transplant and said that I would need about 4000-4500 hairs (not sure whether this is no. of hairs or hair grafts) to cover the entire area and he will do that in one sitting and no second sitting would be required. However, if I do need a lot more hair, I can go for second sitting sometime in future. He quoted an aggregate amount for the entire procedure including medicines for 1 year and not anything like per graft basis. Regarding the clinic, it was a decent one...He transplanted on a Husband-Wife couple from U.S. that day itself (I never thought that even women go for transplant) He does two surgeries per day and is booked for one month...I would get a date for some time in August. 2) Dr. Madhu, on consultation said that he would be able to extract around 2500-2800 grafts from my donor area and would be able to cover only the frontal portion through it. And, to cover the remaining area, I would need a second transplant, some time in future. He also seems to be booked for the entire month, but on booking an appointment by paying Rs. 5,000/-, I might get an appointment before that. Now, my confusion is which doctor I should go with. Cost is the last thing on my mind, though Dr. Madhu might cost me 50% more than that of Dr. Ravindra Reddy, I am not at all bothered about it, as I can’t see the cost for such a crucial thing. Confusion also would not have been there if Dr. Madhu would have said that he would cover the entire portion and no second sitting would be required. Being more popular on this forum and after seeing satisfied patient websites who were treated by him, I might have gone for him without any second thought. But as he said that he will do only the frontal portion, I am in a dilemma as to what to do, as Dr. Ravindra Reddy said that he will do the entire thing in one sitting. I have not read much about Dr. Ravindra Reddy. Nothing much is available to read on net about him, neither somewhere else nor on this forum, except for Kaykays patient website, which looks decent to me. But Dr. Ravindra Reddy seems to have a good reputation around. Now, I am seriously in deep deep confusion as to what to do, as I have to decide soon. Would really appreciate, if anybody out here can sort out my confusion and advise me as to what has to be done. Just to know the status of my hair, I am attaching the pics of my hair just clicked through laptop camera. (Sorry for the Clarity) Do I need to consult some other Doctors also? If yes, please let me know. Also, has anybody heard about Oliva Hair Transplantation & Cosmetic Clinic, found the banner on Jubilee Hills and contacted them on phone, was told that they charge Rs. 35/- per graft but the name of the Doctors which she mentioned were unheard of. They have three branches in Hyderabad, with Hair Transplantation being dune at Jubilee Hills , surprisingly, never heard of it. Booked a consultation though, just to check out, not sure about it. P.S. I am new to this forum and not sure whether I am posting a right thing on a right place or not. So , please pardon me, if anything is wrong with my post.
