I've been taking fin 14 years and added a few dut pills (0.5mg) to that in the last year and a half and never had any sides,I'm 48 now and was told at 28 I had mpb but over the years the meds have played a big part in keeping the hair around some of the work I had done otherwise I'm sure most of the hair I still have beating dht would have been done in years ago without the meds.

Propecia Sexual Side Effect Lawsuits Moving Forward?
sc64 replied to Blake Bloxham's topic in Hair Loss Drugs
I wonder why we never seen a lawsuit on proscar the 5mg pill to treat BPH for older men,it come out before propecia and you would think the sides would have been in some of these men and then some hard to believe that propecia would cause more damage than proscar that we hear about in the last few years in the younger men that take the cosmetic drug that is 4 times the lower dose.but anytime a lawsuit comes around you will have a few fakers joining in just for the cash, but I'm not saying that sides don't happen but don't believe all the cases are real. Looks like the maker of propecia are going to save face and settle and change the labels and have one sign off at your own risk like you would a hair transplant since it's cosmetic. -

Are any doctors on this site willing to post their disclaimers?
sc64 replied to Spanker's topic in Open Hair Loss Topics
Should be the other way around,if you don't like what you see in the disclaimer you would not be out of the deposit if you've already been schedule for surgery, and from what I've read some don't even see the disclaimer or paperwork till the day of the surgery just what to do and not to do pre-op paperwork. So IMO seeing and agreeing to everything before hand would be better for the patient especially if he's coming from a great distance instead of being in left field the day of surgery. -

Here's a quote from one of his post at hlh forum on 4-13 11. Hello to all,Hope someone can help me,I had a procedure 2 years ago with a very good doctor Rose, before him I used this product called scalp lady that people were posting on.My transplants were just in the hairline,This lady used some scalp peel around the crown which I'm thinning but use toppix in that area that looks good,After a couple of days my transplants started to fall out because she used the peel in the front area. I told her not to but she insised it could not hurt, one month later 25% of the transplant never return.,so a year passed I used the highest minox 15% and a laser comb-can't use propecia nothing regrew,so got around 1100 grafts from Dr. Rose most grew in,but after a year a couple here and there would fall out and never grew back,And I know these are transplanted hairs. Did I mess up my scalp with a peel or poor grafts any suggestion would be helpful. From reading his posts at hlh not sure if he knows who to blame or what happen with his work,in this quote post above sounds like he had already had problems before hand and before going to Charles, and no pics of any of his work there either. .

Help. I had my hair transplant with Larry Shapiro.
sc64 replied to JekyllandHyde's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
I can't recall ever seeing a good ht from this guy on any forum,it's mostly always a bad news tread where one or two posters pop in with how great he was for them with 1 or 2 post and don't show any before and after pics when asked.if they do it looks like a ad with a woman on each side. -
Toronto doctor recommendation (Rahal, Simmons, Rosenberg?)
sc64 replied to JasonB's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
IMO,I would go with Rahal, seem like he putting out the best work these days on the forums with no complaints and the hairlines look dam good. -
I guess most do fear somthing going wrong when having something like this done, you have pick out a good doctor that has been around the block and back again with HT, he should be able to ease your fears and answer all your questions to the point to what you are looking at in having this done.

2,100 grafts (FUT) with Dr. Cooley
sc64 replied to BostonHooligan's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Looks good BH,I have a question or two,how long did it take time wise to do 2100 grafts and from looking at the pics you didn't have to shave down which is a PLUS,I'm looking into Cooley and doing a consultation,if you could maybe show a pic of the donor area. Just a guess I think I would need about half of what you got to touch up the hair line, keep is updated. -

Dr Koher, Dr Cooley or Bosley in NC? HELP!
sc64 replied to ktmryder76's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
I email Cooley office yesterday with a few question and I'm looking to do a consultation to see what he has to say and I like what I've read about him so far,I think he is also recommend here and he not but 50 miles away but I'm not going to let travel get in the way,he one of a few clinics that I'm looking into. Seem like every time I read a thread on Bosley It's bad news or someone looking for a repair job,I don't think I would let them give me a shot let alone a transplant. I've never read anything good or bad about Koher. -
What he said above, without meds you will probably wind up in the chair more often then not
