    heyy all... regarding temple point restoration, 1. When transplanted to the top, grafts from the back of ur head seem to grow in thick and long... How will they grow when placed on the sides? Seems like the native hairs are finer/shorter.. will the grafts assume these characteristics?? 2. How many grafts do u guys think it will take for me to fill in both temple points? still leavin a 'natural' recession look. there are pics from my first procedure in the photo album section...

    Being in this age group, Im gonna chime in and agree with growplease... havin your parents support is a huge plus (even though it took over 2 years to get it) soccerguy, if im not mistaken that comes out to .25mg/day. do you find this low of a dose to be effective?? (like you, im very concerned w/ side effects being in my mid 20's)

    im 25, got the procedure done at 24. my original posts were back in june. havent started on any meds yet, ill talk to my doc about a prescription when i go in for my 6 month follow up. the general consensus here seems to be wait it out until AT LEAST one year, possibly more... so i think ill err on the side of caution n listen. im not too sold on armani either (from what i have read).

    Mark, thanks for the compliment... although the hairline is restored, it seems the sides/temples look a lil receded. I read a post by jotronic that said the sides could be just as important as the top. Maybe im just getting a lil hair greedy ... I think ill wait to the 6 month mark and try setting up some online/in person consults Thanks for the advice guys

    October 9th made 4 months... 870 in the hairline... pretty satisfied with the growth so far... no itching, shedding, etc... one question: thinking about getting a 2nd procedure, prob FUE, to bring the sides/temple points forward a little more, as well as possibly refining the hairline. Being from NYC, I hear tons on Feller being a top FUE doc... any suggestions/Comments???

I jus started msm and will continue for now until more research is done

    john, I am also thinking about a small FUE procedure in my temple area to finish off what my first HT started... and shaving down the back was a concern of mine. Keep us updated if you find an answer to this, ill do the same...

    sunjsun, have any b4/after pics of ur first HT? I had gotten my first one of 870 grafts about 7 weeks ago, and would like to see the progress that it may make. If u dont want to post them, u can send a PM.

Today makes 6 weeks, and i still feel sore back there, especially to the touch (like when i wash my hair). most of it is coming from the end area where i guess the knot was made. other than that the grafted area feels great, n looks great... Ive been fortunate enough to have never had surgery before so im not really familiar with this...

    dhuge, just out of curiosity, why not go back to the same doc for your second HT? Are u gonna ask ur first doc his opinion about getting a second procedure done?

    Do you think the same holds true with the use of propecia/proscar? If you stop, will major hair loss follow?

    Just out of curiosity, what would a follicle look like if you did happen to lose one? I am at 4 weeks postop, and the shedding had just now kicked in heavy, some hairs have lil white bumps at the base.

    I ran a comb through my hair in order to remove some of the scabs, however, after a few passes I noticed a good amount of transplanted hair came out as well. could this have damaged the grafts? how long does it takes b4 they are permanently in place? some reassure would be great.

    i pretty much have the same concern, especially since its my temples/forehead as well which is why I think im gonna let the acne take its course for a while

    weg, any particular reason for the acne on the face? Im almost 3 weeks post op, and broke out on my forehead, where I havent had acne for years. What meds do u use?

    how many grafts? i couldnt access ur link. i wouldnt let age play too much of a role, im also 24, and got my entire hairline filled in. the most important thing is that u feel comfortable with ur doc, and it seems like u found a good one.. i spent a year meeting with and researching different docs till i was ready to do it. as long as u understand that being this young, another HT is is likely a few years down the road.

    anders, first let me say congrats-- ur hair looks awesome man... second, i read in ur original posting that if ur suture still hurts while the stitches are in, that means they arent ready to come out? I am 8 days post op, and my entire scar/suture is still very sore, did u experience the same scenario?
