yes that is a terrible plan. but what you are doing that is very wise, is coming on here and asking questions to people who have gone through a ht and will help you not make mistakes. 1600 is to small of a session. do a online consult with a few docs and see what they say, but definatley 1600 is way too small. if thats what the doc recommende i would drop him for a poor recommendation. Stay on this site and continue to ask a lot of questions, doing your due dilligence will pay off and you will be extactic about your end results.

Your post op pics look great. you should heal fast. It will be a bit of a roller coaster ride emotional, but it helps to stay plugged into the forum as you go through the different stages. Congrats you choose a great doctor!!

dhuge67 , I think technology will change too and open more doors, hair cloning and what have you.

I just posted new pics I have gel and hairspray in my hair, no fillers. I have noticed my hair thickening. I did go through a post shed at about 6 months. as hairbank stated it will come back, and has. I am now thinking im not going to get another HT because I have a full head of hair, but maybe. months 7-9 and a half have been getting thicker, but I can really notice now. I noticed if my hair is a bit longer on top it helps a lot and I have my side shaved down to a number 5 on the sides. They say i can still have thickening for another few months, so we will see. The reason I decided to post to day is recently I read a post about hair characteristics, I had 2376 grafts, I think I must have the kind of hair that works good for HTs. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on hair characteristics.

dhuge67 , maybe I am see it wrong, but it looks like the doc brought your temples pretty low, that could be an issue at a later date. Your hair does look good short

There is a regular poster on here, you can search for his posts. his name is m&m. I have been participating on this forum for about a year or so. I have seen people come onto the scene with the attitude that they know whats going on and they go through with there HT only to come back on her and regret thier decision. I wont knock Bosley, as I havent personally been to them, But i would encourage you to post pone your HT and do more research and after you have concluded your research if you still feel you should use Bosley, then go for it, but I highly doubt it. I have seen many people who lives were affected in a bad way after a poor HT. Its your life do what you want, but the others posters have warned you, and I would hate to see you back on here in 4 months wishing you could redo that decision. When it comes to cosmetic surgery you want it perfect. Hopefully you will take everyones words to heart, if not good luck and keep us posted wich ever way you choose to go.

Joe, that was pretty funny, hairy springer!! I have not put to much thought in hair characteristics. You always have great pictures, is it possible to post some examples of different results with the same graft count and different hair characteristics. thanks

I have detailed my Ht in my blog. i went to DR Rose and am very happy with my results. You can read about them and see for yourself. I also liked DR Rose as a person, he gave me his cell phone number should i ever have any questions. If he was still practicing in MN I would go back to him if I have another HT. He also followed up with me 6 months later.

Joe I am enjoying reading this debate, I have a question for you. I am trying to get an understanding of this. Lets say in my situation I have thinning but still a fair amount of hair. If I was a candidate and would have went with a 4000 procedure and dense packed everything. lets say down the road I did loose more hair and had to have another HT, how would that be any different than if I had a smaller session and went back? would it be a different game plan in graft placement? If you had a mega session and were a norwood 4 heading towards a norwood 6, what would be the difference in a game plan? if your going to try to give them the best final results? I guess if you are going bald and going to loose more hair and assess that, what difference does it make?

MRJB, i HAVE NOT HEARD ANYONE COMPLAIN ABOUT THERE WORK FROM hASSON AND WONG. ONE GUY DID THEN CAME BACK ON AND APPOLIGISED, TURNED OUT HE WAS CRAZY!!! THE ONLY COMPLAINTS IVE HEARD ABOUT HTS, COMEFROM PEOPLE WHO HAD THEM DONE WITH OLD TECHNIQUES AND BAD DOCS. WHEN DOMIE CAME ON THE SCENE HE APPROACHED THIS VERY WISE AND WILL WITH OUT A DOUBT HAVE AMAZING FINISHED RESULTS. AND IS NOW GIVING BACK TO THE VERY FORUM THAT HELPED HIM- WAY TO GO DOMIE!!!

Landen, you seem like a very intellegent person and bring a lot of thought to the table. I am still watching and observing. I think most would agree to get to your reseults as fast as possible with as little procedures as possible is the best route. A couple thoughts I have about mega sessions, when you have a very long scar, sometimes hairloss goes down along the side, above the ear, I wonder would the scar be visable. Maybe I am wrong and it wouldnt be an issue. Also going a little more conservative gives the industry time to make its advancements, if you did 2 procedures over 3 years the industry could change remarkably and has. I have seen amazing results from both clinics. And in the future I will go back to Shapiro, because they are 15 minutes from my home and they treated me awesome I also would recommend DR Rose to anyone. I would also goto many docs on here. This whole debate is very interesting, and obviosly emotional. I am out on this and will wait and watch over time and see what takes place.

Good posts, sounds like you have had a rough time. I have read many stories of people who have had a bad expirience with bad clinics, but it seems to be significantly different with a top doctor. thanks for sharing

MMA fighter, I am a huge fan, just do what the rest do, shave your head and when your done competing then get the HT.

what impressed me is this took place a while ago, arguably he could have said that was then this is now sorry. To do what he is doing has definatley been above and beyond the call of duty, I am hoping Dr True gains a lot of buisness by turning a bad situation into a good one, and having a solid reputation.

Dr True, unfourtunatley we all can be "guilty by association" ,and in industries where reputation is everything it can be very unfourtunate. I have followed this thread and think what you have offered is very admirable. You have my respect.
