  1. Fantastic progress so far. Looks very natural and will continue to improve for another 6 months. Congrats.
  2. Once again thankyou for all the compliments guys. Spex, lol wouldn't mind his hair, think i'd prefer his bank balance though ! Mrjb, would be nice if it is more growth coming through. Nn, It does feel great to have hair again. I never thought I would be buying hair gel again after all these years.
  3. Bayscholar, What a transformation dude. You look fantastic.
  4. Bill, To be honest its only that my girlfriend had a look at my crown area a couple of days ago and noticed it's still a bit red. I have felt quite tender in this area since day 1 but it's not something that bothers me to much. I have always been a bit of a slow healer when it comes to cuts. I reckon it will be ok in a few months or I will contact the good doc himself. Thanks for your concern brother. I have had a quick look at your latest pics and it seems that things are coming along lovely. You are going to look a million dollars in the next few months dude
  5. Bill, thankyou dude. I dont really see signs of new grafts but definately notice the thickening of my current hair. I also still have some redness around the crown area which is a little tender. Hairbank, you get around dude !! Seriously I really appreciate your kind words brother.
  6. Had to make a new post as couldn't seem to add any photo's to my old one. This is 7 months post op. Very happy with the progress so far. My hair seems to be thickening up all the time. Hoping this continues for the months ahead. Cheers
  7. I took 3000 mg of msn daily for about 4 months. Minoxidil daily for 3 months, and doubled my alcohol consumption period
  8. its-only-hair, I'm in two minds really about a future procedure. I am more than pleased with the way my hair looks now but like you i'd love to lower my hairline a little. I supose it must be hair greed !
  9. Looking good, Its-only-hair. Can't wait to see how it turns out. Good luck.
  10. Very interesting topic. Since my hairline started receeding way back when, I have always felt like a bit of a spam head. When I went for my procedure with H+W, Dr.Hasson and I agreed on a conservative hairline due to the amount of loss involved. I was expecting a high hairline and just a sprinkling in the crown. As it happened we pretty much covered all the crown, so any future procedure I would use most grafts in lowering my hairline. I measured from my eyebrows to the tip of my hairline, its about 7 cm's.
  11. Folica, http://qhi.co.uk/ A reliable and cheap place to get proscar online. It's the proper quality brand to.
  12. Cheers Bill, hope you are well and the hair is starting to kick in. Its-only-hair, thanks for the compliments. I started scalp exercises 6 months before surgery. I did them everyday for about 20 Min's which was a bit of a pain, but was worth it looking back now. Best of luck with your upcoming procedure with Dr.Hasson, you have chosen a fantastic surgeon and clinic to receive a first class ht.
  13. I have updated my profile with a few new pictures. Don't really have any of my hair grown out pre op. Just didn't feel right having long hair with a nice horse shoe nw5 pattern in your twenties.
  14. HK500,I was just short of the record by a couple of hundred grafts. It's a Canadian guy who holds the record. I really don't know how many sections the strip was removed in, sorry.
  15. Shorty, it's great to lose the cap after all them years but was a bit scary at first, it had become a security blanket for me. Bill, Dr Hasson said he had never seen density like it. He said some parts of my donor area are around 150 FU/cm2. S-N-P, luckily for me, no I don't have a hairy back. I do have quite thick body hair though and a lot of it.
  16. Agreed S-n-p, the techs at H+w are first class. They are really dedicated to their work and attention to detail. Pat, thanks for the comments. The strip taken was 30 x 2.0 cm. Multi hair Fu = 5760 Single hair Fu = 2001 Total = 7761 Fu Don't have the break down of the multi hairs though. Hope this helps.
  17. Eman I said to Dr.Hasson get as many grafts as possible. When I did an online consultation I was told that 4500 to 5000 would be required, if my donor and laxity would allow it. When Dr H first took the strip he estimated that we could get 5 to 6 thousand. We was both a bit shocked when the techcs announced the actual final figure.
  18. HairBrain Thanks for the post. It was an extremely lengthy procedure, in fact it was the longest procedure that H+W have ever done. We started at 7.15am and went right through to 1.15am the following day ! In total that's 18 hours hours in the chair. To be honest I actually really enjoyed the whole experience although I was getting rather fidgety towards the end. Two different teams of techs were used which is what H+W when these large sessions come about. I didn't feel any pain at all really except for the injections which I had to have quite a few of. As for the staples that's a different story. They really did hurt, especially at the sides. I got some strong pain killers from my gp though which helped, although I didn't sleep much for the 2 weeks they were in. All in all it was a great experience and an experience which will change my life forever. Good growing to all.
  19. Hi Bill, here is where the fun begins. You are going to have an awesome looking head of hair in the next few months. You are a real help to a lot of newbies on here with some top notch advice and great documentation of your own ht. Good luck brother.
  20. Good luck Salt-N-Peppa. You have certainly chose a great surgeon. You are gonna look great for the summer, and least you won't have to put no suntan lotion on the bald spot anymore
  21. Thanks for all the compliments guys. Lol Nobuzz. I wish I was all of them things, but sadly I'm not. One thing I am now is much more confident. I used to go everywhere with my trusty cap on but I have finally ditched it now. It feels like such a release to go out without it. M+M, I will try post some more day after pics for you. Bill, nice to hear from you again. I don't mind at all about the refence you made. Wouldn't mind having a look at the post myself.
