  1. thanks Mahair.. You just proved to be a bigger idiot than I thought. Let's start off by saying I have not mentioned the name of my physician for the exact reason you state. "Stop looking like some doped up advert for GOERTZ Getz whatever. and you might get some sympathy". I don't want to be looked upon as some shill. Something that I am not. Secondly, I can take constructive critizism gladly. Heck, I can except the fact, that someone may not agree with me. But don't put your self worthlessness on me. "I wish I was so objective." Now I said, the photo's were not great, and I said I will post better photo's. As I did. Oh, and for your information. My posting is to educate. I don't want people's "sympathy". I don't seek it like you have always done in your past postings. So go crawl back into your cave of pitty. That's the obvious truth.
  2. Hope this brings into light what your expectations will be, when you opt. coverage vs. density. All expectations should be a personal and confident decision made by you. No matter how many idiots decide to chime in, and tell you differently. 2360 grafts, over 2/3rds area. = 22 grafts sq.cm.
  3. This is for the few that can't understand what coverage over density looks like. This is normal lightiing... Best I can get from my $100 camera. all mormal lighting... your everday thing.
  4. Mahair... Um.. You're an idiot! That's about all your post deserves.
  5. All, My problem with this is not freedom of speech, but the freedom to convict the practices of which the foundation of both, UK. and USA were founded on. Christiananity. Remember, democracy in both countries were based on these religous beliefs. Which is why many nations citizens and religions are seeking a home, or refugee be it, into these two countries. Canada included. I don't here of any mass rush into Africa, China, Japan, Russia, or especially Afghanistan and Iraq. We have disney world folks!! You tell me!
  6. yes.. agreed with Bill. Don't do it. It's not worth the hassle or the complications that could come from it. Main point, it could cause more trauma hairloss than a benefit from it. You really need to start looking at photo's and do some serious research into what you are looking for. I trust in the end you will find you willl be much happier with where you are at. Good luck, and best wishes in your choices.
  7. though the varying of the deepness of a cut does play a slight factor of nerve damage, the importance of the cut is the basic sharpness of the knife. Damage is mainly caused by the truama of the cut. Nerve trauma, to the epidermal nerves not healing, can be caused by a tearing of the skin, do to basically an in antiquate blade. But, that is very rare, since most, should all surgeons, have that best instruments at hand. Some people do take longer to heal, as we all know... Everyone is different.
  8. oh, and thanks cas.. I couldn't find those.
  9. PB, no problem. If I do the same area of coverage, I will be at roughly 40-45 grafts per sq.cm. So, the next one will be key. I do prefer to have coverage over density, though. My personal preferance. I'd rather be thinning than bald. But the final decision will be made just prior to my next HT. Which will be at the beginning of next year.
  10. thanks for the replies... Yes, I know and knew my outcome would be thin looking. But I weighed, along with my physician, the best approach. That was coverage over density. Not only do to the fact of camoflaug, but that I would be seeking an additional procedure(s). As for the hair style, there really is no differance in apperance. Speaking of which, and I should have stated this in the first post, the DIGI-camera I am using doesn't pick up the true results. I think this may be in part of, that I have fine hair, and it's poor ability to pick up detail. Here's a pic from the doc's office with a good camera of my hair type. I will be working on getting a truer picture of the results. Be asured, the photo's posted, by far lack a more better result. The can be seen by the unclarity of the photo's. But that still won't improve the true density coverage, which is half of optimal. I will try to get better photo's posted, as time permitts. Thanks again for your feedback.
  11. Bill.. your opinion is the only just one posted so far. You've been around here long enough. Yes, I am happy... Extremely!! I know the density is not there. That was not part of the equation when I had it done. But only agreed density needed to be done at a later time. Here's another part that needs to be added. I do not have the best prize hair for HT work. I have very straight fine hair... very fine.. and brown. Only thing worse would be black fine hair. So, the photos posted are not the best, but are as honest as I can post them. Believe me when I say, it's much better outside of a camera shot. Like I said.. 2360 over 2/3rds, which was pretty much bald, gives me the coverage I expect. Thinning... People under the belief that 2000+ grafts is a cure, are mislead. As you know from reading experiances. Good luck on your healing!! Can't wait for your updates.
  12. wow.. like I said, it's hard to judge from one old front photo. Also, you have to realize that 2360 grafts isn't good coverage for NW5 if you get 2/3rds of the area covered. Here's the simple equation.. NW5 needs roughly 150 sq.cm. at 40-50 grafts per 1 sq. cm. for cosmetic coverage, depending on hair texture and single hair thickness. You can break that down to 50 sq.cm. grafted area, per 1/3. That now equals, (45 grafts x 50 sq. cm.) 2250 grafts per 1/3 area covered.. Great density. But, like I stated, I had 2/3rds coverage with 2360 grafts for reasons of camoflaug. Which puts my graft coverage at, only 22.2 grafts coverage for 2/3rds area. Not decent density coverage. I did find some pics of some better before. And in both types of lighting. Bright lighting before and after... Before After Normal Lighting, before and after.. Before After
  13. no problem sac... actually if you had seen the past photo's or knew my back ground, you may see things differently. I will work on locating those photo's, but you really can not compare from the one I posted. Especially from the front view alone. Grafts were placed in the 2/3 front, to cover some previous work and blending.
  14. Well, it's been a little while since I've posted an update. Work has hade me running crazy again over the last few months, to were all my focuses were elsewhere. For those who don't know, I had 2360 grafts, Nov. 12, 2004. Here's a before.. It's the only I can locate at the current time. This was taken under normal lighting. Now for the 11 month update.. Bright lighting. These are 11 month, under normal lighting.
  15. I'm not sure who originally brought up the minox issue. But I developed a nasty reaction to it after my last procedure. I started using it a week after my procedure, and had swelling, itching, and some nasty clear fluid oozing. Not fun. I stopped it immediately and had not lasting effects. Spock, it looks like you had shockloss of your original hair. That may explain what happened. Hard to say if it will be permenant. Only time will tell. I had the same thing with that after my first procedure. Unfortunelty, mine was permenant shockloss. Your photo's remind me a lot of what I experianced, in the same amount of time. Hard to say exactly what is going on... But if you received 1620 in the front 1/3, and that's generally about 32 sq. sm. of all area covered, based on a NW5 (150 sq. cm. total area) for comsmetic coverage. That then may explain the thin look you have if you lost the original hair do to shockloss. Good luck man... I know exactly what you are going through.
  16. wow.. how did this post get by me!! Brando.. OUTSTANDING MAN!! Great to see you have an awesome outcome. Let's hope your done with this mess. Glad all has worked out for you. Best wishes man!! Good for you!
  17. Mary, I'm sure the doctor you are refering to is Dr. Ringler. If so, avoid him at all costs. There are no excellent physicians in the West Michigan area. There are some near detroit, and some in Ohio. My recommendation, to start looking outside of this area. Good luck, and read around. Then ask about that certain physician. You'll learn a lot that way. Good Luck
  18. Nice work in driving the industry!! Congrat's Dr. Shapiro! Keep that bar high!
  19. WOW!! Drastic differance!! Congrats!! And only at 8 months... I'm sure you have more improvement to enjoy!! Good for buddy! No luck wishing needed!! You got it!
  20. temporary shockloss, is a very real possability, but perment will only happen if the hairs are transected. (cut into, for new graft). Permanent generally happens when a physician cuts to close on additional surgeries.. Though very rare with an excellent physician. If temporary happens, it usually starts to grow back with the new grafts.
  21. Kez, glad to see our politicians all practice the same guidlines. Line the pockets first, and put the safety and welfare of the citizens last. I do like the new law your government has passed. Speak up, and get booted out.
  22. zerro, all rogain to a ht is fertilizer. It won't add more hair. The general application of rogain, is to bring back what you still have. Then after a HT, help the growth process. So your Doc, is wrong and right at the same time.
  23. I don't want to knock the doctor, but I do want to critic the clinic he works for. Per their site, the offer the "Platinum Club" rate, for members only. When you are a member you will receive for 1800 grafts a natural hairline, and permenant head of hair. SIGN ME UP!! That's sarcasim for you newbies..
  24. This thread was supposed to be about my 7 month update. It seems it more about everyone else. Robert, could you please lock this thread.. No disrespect to anyone.
  25. Jacob.. no worries man.. I'm still here. Thanks for the thought. I've received so many PM's regarding, well, this thread. I never realized how many people actually cared about stories and updates. So, of course I will continue to post. I've just taken a small brake and will do for a little while. I've been dealing with self negativity, for years now.. Comments in this thread haven't helped, now that I actually felt relief from it. It's been almost a month now since my last update, and I am still seeing continued improvement. For a change, I let my hair grow out. Much BETTER!!! Again, thanks for your comment and everyone else.
